Audrey R. Bennett
Audrey Robinson Bennett, 81, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Harold Dowler officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery.
Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Friendship and Hospitality Club since 1964. She was also active in church and the Red Cross, and served as a Girl Scout leader.
Survivors include three daughters, Candy Warden and Jill B. Hall, both of Huntsville, and Denise Martin of Birmingham; one brother, Earl Benton Robinson of Hobe Sound, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church or a favorite charity.
Henry L. Binford, Jr.
Henry Louis Binford, Jr., 48, of 5026 Parkwood Drive died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Syler Tabernacle P.B. Church with the Rev. Annaias Green officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Binford was employed with the City of Huntsville for 14 years. He was the president and founder of Brother Love MCSC and a member of Macedonia P.B. Church.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Wright Binford of Huntsville; two daughters, Ashley Renae Binford of Huntsville and Tracey Denise Burrell of Auburn; five sons, Bobby R. Binford, Joe L. Binford, Aron L. Binford, Johnny L. Binford and Steaven A. Binford, all of Huntsville; five sisters, Louberta D. Pettis, Sandra Edwards, Doris Montgomery, Carolyn Milton and Clara D. Simmons, all of Huntsville.
The body will be at the church an hour before the funeral.
Winford G. Brock
ATHENS - Winford Glenn Brock, 77, died Sunday at an Athens hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Wright officiating.
Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Mr. Brock was a retired research chemist for the U.S. Army at Redstone Arsenal. He was also a World War II veteran of the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Brock of Athens; four sons, Garey Brock of Austin, Texas, and Terry Brock, Perry Brock and Marcus Brock, all of Athens; one sister, Katherine Phillips of Huntsville; one brother, Frank Brock of Ardmore, Tenn.; and three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
Ethel L. Bryant
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Ethel Lovell Bryant, 98, of 43 Mayberry Cts. died Sunday at a Fayetteville hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mike Roberts officiating.
Burial will be in Wrights Cemetery.
Mrs. Bryant was a native of Lincoln County. She was also a homemaker and member of Dellrose Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Louvella Thompson of Fayetteville, Mary Lee Wray of Columbia and Della Franklin of Taft; one son, George Bryant of Tampa, Fla.; and 26 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 8 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
C.W. Cope
C. Wayne Cope, 59, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Emerson Lyle officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Cope was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Bulman Cope; one daughter, Kim Piner of Huntsville; one son, Mark Wayne Cope of Madison; two sisters, Patricia C. Woodruff of Hartselle and Anna Crutcher of Taft, Tenn.; three brothers, Stanley Royce Cope of Fayetteville, Tenn., Charles Cope of Marietta, Ga., and Larry Cope of Owens Cross Roads; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

ATHENS - Ms. Shirley J. Durant, 55, of 17459 Hall Road died Monday at her residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced by McConnell Funeral Home.
Maynard W. Evans
GRANT - Maynard W. ''Chuck Evans, 84, of Grant died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. J.A. Linville officiating.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Mr. Evans was a member of the Center Point Baptist Church in Scottsboro.
Survivors include five daughters, Pat Warren of Scottsboro, Nancy Campbell of Toney, Debbie Henry of Grant and Janice Wright and Dale Cain, both of Woodville; one son, Benny Evans of Woodville; three sisters, Ruby Page and Pansy Maples, both of Huntsville, and Nina Plunkett of Andrews, Texas; one brother, B.J. Evans of Winchester, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 3 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Almeda Starkey Fuller
MOBILE - Mrs. Almeda Starkey Fuller, 82, of Mobile died Friday in Mobile. The funeral was Monday at Radney Funeral Home. A graveside service was today at 11 a.m. at Sandlin Cemetery in Limestone County with McConnell Funeral Home of Athens directing and Tim Keenum officiating.
Mrs. Fuller was a member of Government Street Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lee Fuller, and one son, Henry Lee Fuller Jr.
Survivors include three sons, Joe S. Fuller if Williamsburg, Va., George H. Fuller of Theodore, Ala. and Walter M. Fuller of Marietta, Ga.; two sisters, Arthenia Gardner of Arlington, Texas, and Helan McGee of Midwest City, Okla.; six grandchildren, two step grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Durand R. Goatley
Retired Army Lt. Col. Durand R. Goatley, 86, of Huntsville died Monday at a local rehabilitation center. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Lt. Col. Goatley also was retired from civil service at Redstone Arsenal.
Survivors include one daughter, Pamela S. deLuca of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two sisters, Doris Johnson of Rockledge, Fla., and Betty Pitts of Goldsboro, N.C.; and two grandsons.
Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Fontaine S. Henry
TUSCUMBIA - Fontaine Scott Henry, 75, died Sunday. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bob Plunket officiating.
Burial will be in Tuscumbia Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Henry was a retired teacher with the Colbert County School system and a member of Tuscumbia Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Anita Fontaine Fulford of Conyers, Ga., and Theresa Nell Henry of Arab; one brother, V.M. Scott of Muscle Shoals; one sister, Cretola McCord of Johnson City, Tenn., and two grandchilren.
Visitation was to be today from noon to 2 p.m.
Ethyl B. Hunt
Ethyl Bowman Hunt, 91, of Huntsville died Saturday at her home. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Hunt was a native of Georgia and lifelong resident of Huntsville. She was also a member of Jackson Way Baptist Church and charter member of the Golden Circle.
Survivors include one son, Edward W. Hunt of Fresno, Calif.; one sister, Grace James of Gasden; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Viola I. Kelley
ELKMONT - Viola Ivalee Kelley, 76, died Sunday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Osborne officiating.
Burial will be in Myers Cemetery.
Mrs. Kelley was a member of New Hope Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. "Bill" Kelley and a brother, Hollis Marlow.
Survivors include one son, Alvis Kelley of Athens; one daughter, Brenda Johnson of Athens; three sisters, Lena Will Thompson of Anderson, Margaret Phillips of Elkmont and Virginia Lawrence of Lester; and six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mary E. Kitchens
Mary Edith Kitchens, 17, of Huntsville died today at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Miss Kitchens was a senior at Faith Covenant Christian Academy and worked at the medical office of Dr. Lori Kaufman.
Survivors include her mother, Jeri Anne Clayton of Huntsville; her father, Richard W. Kitchens of Huntsville; one brother, Brandon W. Kitchens, U.S. Navy, Iceland; one sister, Katherine Kitchens of Albertville; a half brother, Christopher Moore of Huntsville; her grandmother, Edith Kitchens of Crystal Springs, Miss.; and three uncles, three aunts and nine cousins.
Dewey D. Lackey
SCOTTSBORO - Dewey Dee Lackey, 74, of Scottsboro died Sunday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Revs. Kenneth Higgins and Donald Hutchins officiating.
Burial was to be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro.
Mr. Lackey was employed by the Scottsboro Water Department for 24 years.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Sue Welch Lackey; five sisters, Louise Bellomy of Skyline, Addie Ruth Cottis of Hueytown, Opal Kepner of Huntsville, Martha Duelene Griggs of Scottsboro and Virginia Sanders of Huntsville; and two brothers, Robert Lackey of Scottsboro and Delbert Lackey of Huntsville.
Earnestine Lewis
Earnestine Lewis, 78, of 205 Salem Drive died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. Elizabeth C.P. Church with the Rev. George Franklin Sr. officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. William R. Lewis of Huntsville; one daughter, Earnestine Stewart of Huntsville; five sons, Robert Lewis, James Earl Moore, Woodrow Lewis, John L. Lewis and Josh Lewis, all of Huntsville; one sister, Lorene Turner of Buffalo, N.Y.; and 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Melvin K. Lusher
BOAZ - Melvin K. Lusher, 46, of 7740 Cox Gap Road died Sunday in a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial was to be in Thrasher Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Lusher; two sons, Brian Lusher of Elba and David Lusher of Boaz; four sisters, Becky Jordan and Brenda Curry, both of Georgia, Doris Bearden of Montgomery and Linda Brown of Huntsville; four brothers, Kenny Lusher of Boaz, Wayne Lusher and Tom Lusher, both of West Virginia, and Robert Lusher of Birmingham; and one grandchild.
Hubert L. Mason
HAZEL GREEN - Hubert Leon Mason, 66, of West Limestone Road died Monday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 7 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Ed J. Deel officiating.
A graveside service will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Patterson Cemetery in Colbert, Ga.
Mr. Mason was retired as a support equipment foreman for Redstone Arsenal. He was also a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Huntsville Bible Church.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Mason of Hazel Green ; one son, Charley H. Mason of Toney; one brother, Daniel Warren Mason of Hazel Green ; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Francis Millsaps Jr.
TONEY - Francis M. Millsaps Jr., 69, died Wednesday at his home.
Mr. Millsaps was a native of Nashville and lived in Madison County for the past eight years. He retired from Nashville Transit Co.
Survivors include two brothers, Laurence J. Millsaps of Huntsville and Phillip Webster of Nashville; and five nieces four great-nieces and two great nephews.
Tracy L. Morris
Tracy Lynn Morris, 33, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Brian Morris officiating.
Miss Morris was a native of Portsmouth, Va., and lived in Madison County since 1981. She was employed with Dunlop Tires and Decatur General Hospital.
Survivors include parents, Ralph and Lyn Morris of Madison; and one brother, Brian Morris.

GUNTERSVILLE - Martha Elizabeth Nunn, 63, of 230 Pine Needle Trace died Dec. 31 at a local nursing home. The funeral was Saturday at First Baptist Church in Guntersville.
Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville directing.
Mrs. Nunn was a principals secretary in the Marshall County School System.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby G. Nunn; two daughters, Jeanie Clark of Huntsville and Sherry Manley of Guntersville; four brothers, Alton Glassco of Cullman, Oydis Glassco of Alabaster, C.V. Glassco of Gadsden and Truman Glassco of Horton; and two grandchildren.

GUNTERSVILLE - Oliver Street ''Buddy Ross, 78, of 226 Warrenton Road died Dec. 30 at his residence. The funeral was Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Guntersville.

Mr. Ross was co-owner of Ross-Graden Building Supply Co.

ARAB - Q.T. Shirley, 81, of Arab died Sunday in a local nursing home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial was to be in Diamond Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria Shirley; three daughters, Linda Grizzard, Ann Kirkland and Pam Bales, all of Arab; one son, Mike Shirley of Arab; one sister, Viola Burgett of Arab; and 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Newton Sims GRANT - Newton Sims, 60, died Saturday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Grant Memorial Chapel Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Mr. Sims was owner of Triple-K Restaurant in Grant.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; one son, Michael; two daughters, Sheri and Stacy; two stepsons, Keith and Kevin; one stepdaughter, Kim; one sister, Nancy Tosh; and 13 grandchildren.
Gail L. Weaver
CROSSVILLE - Gail Lynette Weaver, 38, of Crossville died Sunday in a Boaz hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
