CEDAR LAKE, Ind. - Clodie Earl Black, 85, of Cedar Lake, Ind., died Thursday. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Rainsville Funeral Home in Rainsville, Ala., with the Rev. Reuben Gaught officiating.
Burial will be in Wesleys Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Burma Black; one daughter, Linda Moore of Cedar Lake; two sons, Jay Black of Salem, Ariz., and Jim Black of Lowell, Ind.; five sisters, Jean Nix and Juanita Morgan, both of Ider, Elwanda Mashburn of Bryant, Nell Lands of Fort Payne and Shirley Cloud of Higdon; five brothers, Willis Black of Orlando, Fla., Kenneth Black of Rainsville and Wendell Black, Herschel Black and Mark Black, all of Fort Payne; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Ralph O. Cabaniss
LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Ralph O. Cabaniss, 77, died Monday at West Palm Beach. A graveside service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Donald Ramey officiating and Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Cabaniss was a native of Gurley and a resident of Huntsville before moving to the Palm Beach area in 1959. He was an engineer with Pratt and Whitney for 27 years prior to his retirement in 1987, veteran of the Navy in World War II and Korean War, member of the Scottish Rites Bodies, Shrine Order of the Eastern Star, Knight Mason of America and Philalathes Society and 33rd Degree Sovereign Inspector General Honorary.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Irene Cabaniss; one daughter, Jean Cabaniss Kunx of Irvine, Calif.; three stepsons, Calvin N. Morrow of Delton, Mich., James C. Morrow of Harrison, Mich. and Timothy Lee Morrow of Tarzana, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Janis Marie Morrow of Delton; one sister, Neida Lamb of Huntsville; and one granddaughter, 11 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

David N. Carrell
David Neal Carrell, 81, of Huntsville died Friday at a local nursing home. A graveside service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Vesdes, California, with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Carrell was a native of Sidell, Illinois, and resident of Madison County for the past 18 years.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Carrell; and two nieces, Deidre Burns of Ridgefield, N.J., and Carrell Thatcher of Irvine, Calif.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntsville/Madison County Botanical Gardens, 4747 Bob Wallace Ave., Huntsville, Ala. 35805.

Nell M. Gambill
PETERSBURG, Tenn. - Nell Mauldin Gambill, 73, of 2739 Sorrells Hollow Rd. died Friday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at McCauley Funeral Home in Petersburg with Bro. Harold Davis officiating.
Mrs. Gambill was a native of Marshall County, Tennessee. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, R.C. Gambill; one daughter, Janice York of Lewisburg, Tenn.; two sons, Jerry Gambill and Randy Gambill, both of Petersburg; one sister, Aline Miller of Lilburn, Ga.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Sue T. Giddens
SMYRNA, Tenn. - Sue Trotti Giddens, 55, died Friday at an area hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Huntsville.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Giddens was a former resident of Huntsville.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Giddens; two daughters, Sandy Thomas of South Pittsburg, Tenn., and Cheryl Solway of Valamosa Springs, Ala.; one brother, Webster Trotti of Bridge City, Texas; one sister, Moajean Crumptes of Bridge City, Texas; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna and Monday from noon to 2 p.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens.

Roy S. Godfrey
Roy Steven Godfrey, 46, of Huntsville died Thursday at his residence. A memorial service will be today at 4 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William h. Bostick Jr. officiating.
Mr. Godfrey was employed by TVA.
Survivors include his parents, Roy and Barbara Godfrey of Huntsville; two sisters, Pam Lloyd and Jan Lee, both of Huntsville; two brothers, Rick Godfrey and David Godfrey, both of Huntsville; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Hubert Hasting
ARDMORE, Tenn. - Hubert Hasting Jr., 53, died Friday at a Athens hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Hastings Cemetery.
Mr. Hasting was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Hasting; one daughter, Kim Hubbard of Ardmore, Ala.; his mother, Bessie Hasting of Ardmore, Tenn.; one brother, Larry Hasting of Columbia, Tenn.; and three sisters, Betty Cox of Pulaski, Tenn., Shelby Brostrom of Huntsville and Relura Jones of Ardmore, Tenn.

Joe H. King
PISGAH - Joe H. King, 61, of Pisgah, died Friday. The funeral will be today at 4 p.m. at the Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar.
Burial will be in Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Henagar.
Survivors include one sister, Ruby Clark of Rock Springs, Ga.; and two brothers, Walter L. ''Buck King and Delbert H. King, both of Pisgah.

Hollis Lowery
Hollis Lowery Sr., 68, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Madison Chapel with Rev. Mac McCutcheon officiating.
Burial will be in Madison City Cemetery with Madison Chapel in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Lowery; four sons, Hollis Lowery Jr. of Madison, James Lowery of Calif., David Lowery and Terry Stewart, both of Huntsville; three daughters, Debbie Lowery, Mary Jane Stewart and Denise Lowery, all of Huntsville; two brothers, Quinton Lowery and Otis Lowery, both of Madison; three sisters, Alice Barckley, Norene Baird and Gertrude Brazelton, all of Madison; and 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pauline L. Malone
ALBERTVILLE - Pauline Luramie Malone, 88, of Albertville died Friday in a local hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Catleen Brothers of Illinois; one son, Arnold Malone of Ohio; one sister, Grace McCormick of Boaz; two brothers, Cornelius Gaskin of Guntersville and Orange Gaskin of Boaz; and five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Curley W. Mann
Curley W. Mann Sr., 84, of Huntsville died Thursday in a local nursing home. The funeral will be Monday at 7 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Boaz.
Survivors include two sons, Curley W. Mann Jr. of Somerville and Johnny Mann of Tennessee; two sisters, Eunice Sigley of Gadsden and Frances Ogden of Illinois; and eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Oprah W. McBrayer
PISGAH - Oprah Wheeler McBrayer, 84, of Pisgah, died Wednesday. The funeral will be today at noon at the Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Bill Lett officiating.
Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery.
Survivors include one brother, J.V. Wheeler of Rossville, Ga.; and three grandchildren.

Gene McMillian
TAFT, Tenn. - Gene McMillian, 68, of Old Railroad Bed Rd. died Saturday at an area hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Bennett officiating.
Burial will be in State Line Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. McMillian was a native of Lincoln County. He was a member of the Taft First Baptist Church and retired truck driver from Harlow Produce Company.
Survivors include his wife, Dean Turner McMillian; four sons, Jason McMillian and Roger Key, both of Taft, Rick Key of Goodlettsville, Tenn., and Billy Key of Athens, Ala.; five daughters, Lisa Williams and Maria Dupree, both of Kelso, Tenn., Melody Key of Fayetteville, Donna White of Auburn, Ky., and Ava Whitworth of Lewisburg, Tenn.; three brothers, Raymond McMillian of Gurley, Ala., Thomas McMillian of Yuma, Ariz., and Phillip McMillian of Petersburg, Tenn.; two sisters, Frances Gibson of Fayetteville and Ann Wright of Lewisburg; and 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bessie M. Moore
MADISON - Bessie Mae Moore, 78, of 404 Mose Chapel Rd. died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Progressive Union M.B. Church with Dr. Wayne P. Snodgrass officiating.
Burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Moore was a member of Progressive Union M.B. Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Theado Fletcher of Madison; one brother, Richard Moore of Huntsville; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

William H. Norris
NEW MARKET - William Howard Norris, 85, died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Spry Chapel with Rev. Benny Berry and Dr. Don Tarter officiating.
Burial will be in Norris Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Norris was a native of Madison County, World War II veteran, retired farmer and carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Frances H. Norris; two daughters, Gayla N. Hale and Myra N. Tunstill, both of New Market; three sisters, Allie Kenney of Hazel Green, Margurite Moore of Meridianville and Virginia Adams of Florence; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

George Pillow
ATHENS - George Pillow of Lentzville Rd. died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Sarah Posey
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Sarah Byrd Douglas Posey, 74, of 1868 Winchester Highway died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 4 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Archer officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with Higgins Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include two sisters, Jane Moore and Margaret Lee, both of Fayetteville; and one brother, Richard Douglas of Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lincoln County Museum or the charity of your choice.

Carl M. Pritchett
HOLLYWOOD - Carl Mack Pritchett, 84, of Hollywood, died Wednesday. The funeral was Saturday at the Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro with the Revs. Howard McCallie, Bill Pace and Wallace Sumner officiating.
Burial was in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Mr. Pritchett was a member of the Fairfield Baptist Church and the Scottsboro Masonic Lodge for 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Leola Pritchett; two daughters, Jimmie Galloway of Section and Betty Shelton of Marietta, Ga.; one son, Carl Edward Pritchett of Hollywood; and two sisters, Evelyn Payne of South Pittsburg, Tenn., and Beatrice Pelham of Bridgeport, Ala.; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Fairfield Baptist Church or to Hospice.

Lee W. Reavis
Lee Wilson Reavis, 82, of Huntsville died Friday at home. The funeral will be today at 3:15 p.m. at Spry Chapel with Byrom C. Laird and L.G. Anderson officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Reavis was a lifelong resident of Madison County. He was retired from civil service and was a World War II veteran and a member and deacon of the West Huntsville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen M. Reavis; one son, Nelson Reavis of Fayetteville; one sister, Evalena Spurlock of Fayetteville; and one granddaughter.

Jack D. Rutherford
UNION GROVE - Jack Daniel Rutherford, 81, of 2575 Mobbs School Road, died Friday at his home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Mt. View Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Rutherford; one daughter, Jackie Wyke of Union Grove; two sons, John Rutherford and Steve Rutherford, both of Union Grove; one brother, Leon Rutherford of Union Grove; and seven grandchildren.

Willie L. Turner
Willie L. Turner, 54, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at noon at Madkins Chapel C.P. Church with Pastor James Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his mother, Roberta Turner of Huntsville; seven sisters, Lela Bush, Archie Bell Fletcher, Brenda Turner, Carolyn Turner, Linda Turner, Veronica Turner and Therisa Turner, all of Huntsville; four brothers, John Turner, James Turner, Ronnie Joe Turner and Willard Turner, all of Huntsville; and 15 grandchildren.
The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Nola R. Whitaker
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Nola Roberta Whitaker, 71, died Saturday at a local hospital. A graveside service will be today at 10 a.m. at Lincoln Cemetery with Rev. Gary Williams officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Whitaker was a native of Warren County, Tennessee. She was a member of Lincoln Baptist Church and a retired seamstress for Serbin Manufacturing Company.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin Whitaker; one son, Michael Whitaker of Fayetteville; one daughter, Carol Agnew of Huntsville; three brothers, Logan Green of Smithland, Tenn., Thomas Green of Nashville and Douglas Green of Fayetteville; three sisters, Louise Land of Peoria, Ill., and Agnes Shelton and Elma Pirtle, both of Fayetteville; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
