Born June 20, 1925, in Red Lake Falls, Minn., she lived in Oceanside for six years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Davidson is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lawrence Davidson of Oceanside; son Rodney Davidson of Torrance; daughters Pamela Soper of Stafford, Va., Sheila McCandless of Camarillo and Donna Davidson of Vista; brothers Andy Caillier of Newport Beach and Buster Caillier of Torrance; sisters Rita Ouellet of Gardena, Audrey Lemieux of Camarillo, Dore Sullivan and Madonna Spurlock, both of Fairfield; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held and a rosary recited Thursday, May 25, at Mission San Luis Rey Church. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. today, May 26, at Mission San Luis Rey Church. Interment
will follow at Mission San Luis Rey Cemetery.

Fred Vanderheide, 50
OCEANSIDE - Fred A. Vanderheide, 50, died Monday, May 22, 2000, at his home in Oceanside.
Born April 17, 1950, in Grand Rapids, Mich., he lived in Oceanside for 11 years. He was assistant director of purchasing for Four Seasons Resort-Aviara in Carlsbad. He graduated from Troy High School in Fullerton.
Mr. Vanderheide was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Vanderheide in 1995. He is survived by his mother, Jacqueline J. Vanderheide of Fullerton; and brother Richard Vanderheide of Yorba Linda.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday, June 12, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Oceanside. A private cremation is planned.

SAN MARCOS - Wilma Marie Blazer, 81, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, in Vista.
Born Sept. 1, 1918, in Moundsville, W.Va., she lived in San Marcos for 1 1/2 years and in Oceanside for 20 years. She organized and performed in several song and dance groups.
Mrs. Blazer was preceded in death by her husband, Fay W. Blazer, in 1973; four brothers; one sister; and two grandsons. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, William Blazer of Columbus, Ohio, and Thomas and Joanie Blazer of Oceanside; daughters and sons-in-law Elizabeth and Gene Long of San Marcos and Teresa and Hobie Griffin of Fort Wayne, Ind.; brothers Charles Kandis, Joseph Kandis and William Kandis, all of Moundsville; sisters Alice Hooker of Fort Wayne and Margaret Molinex of Monarch Beach; and 12 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 27, at Cavalier Mobile Estates Clubhouse in Oceanside, with James Patterson officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery in Frankfort, Ohio.

ESCONDIDO - Bill D. Glendenning, 78, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000.
Born Oct. 1, 1921, in Greeley, Colo., he lived in Escondido for 1 1/2 years and in San Diego for 45 years. He was self-employed for 63 years before retiring and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Mr. Glendenning is survived by his wife, Patricia Glendenning of Escondido; sons John Hartley of San Diego, Michael Cardoza of Bridger, Mont., Marcus Cardoza of Nampa, Idaho, and Brian DeForest Glendenning of Boise, Idaho; and five grandsons.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 28, at Citrus Gardens Senior Community Club House in Escondido. A private Interment will take place at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma.

Born March 30, 1917, in Kansas, she lived in Escondido for 60 years. She was a homemaker for 58 years.
Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband, Larry B. Nelson, in 1985. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sandy Nelson of Carlsbad; daughter and son-in-law Patty and Don Miller of Solana Beach; sister and brother-in-law Mary Francis and Gene Sandrope of Madison, Wis.; grandchildren Brynn Gaynor and Heather Carnes; and great-grandchildren Ethan Carnes, Brittany Eshbach, Mya Morris and Brett Gaynor.

RANCHO BERNARDO - Jerome J. "Jerry" Dosek, 75, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, of a heart malfunction, at Palomar Medical Center.
Born March 14, 1925, in Ulysses, Neb., he lived in Rancho Bernardo for 30 years. He was an optician and owner of Prescription Optical Co. before retiring. He served as a medical technician for the U.S. Army and was an officer in the California Society of Ophthalmic Dispensers, involved in the Far Western Conference of Opticians and National Opticians Association of America. He was a founder of the Westwood Men's Club and a member of the Barbershop musical group and Rancho Bernardo Hall of Fame.
Mr. Dosek is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol A. Dosek of Rancho Bernardo; son and daughter-in-law Maksymiljan Robert and Lorelei Dosek of Oceanside; daughter Mary Frances Dosek of Los Alamos; brother Edwin F. Dosek of Crofton, Md.; sisters Rita Maria Evans of Dalton, Okla., Mary Alice Mickle of Shenandoah, Va., Joanne Scoville of Sioux City, Iowa, and Philomene Marak of Kansas City, Mo.; and grandchildren Andrea and Sarah Dosek.

Mrs. Doughty is survived by her sons, Melvin Orchard II and Paul Orchard; daughters Karen Orchard, Rebecca Orchard and Cathleen Orchard; brother George Carr; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

SAN MARCOS - Neil Cole Brown, 76, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at his home.
Born Dec. 7, 1923, in Douglas, Ariz., he lived in San Marcos for 13 years. He was a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force, retiring June 30, 1970, after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association and the 55th Strategic Wing and Air commando Special Forces.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rita R. Brown of San Marcos; sons and daughters-in-law Lance M. and Tammy Brown of Chester, S.C., and Neil C. Brown II and wife Rajini of San Ramon; grandchildren Alex, Austin and Aric Brown, all of Chester; and stepgrandson Brandon Beach of Chester.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her father, Adolph Johnson, in 1971; mother Myrtle Johnson in 1991; son-in-law Billy Roy Factor in 1989; and grandchildren Mark Honn on 1988 and Heather Lehr in 1995. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law Dallas Smith of Escondido and Merrill C. and Stacy Smith of San Francisco; daughters and sons-in-law Gloria and Terry Reese of Miami, Okla., Donna Factor and Claudette and Dan Lamb, all of Oklahoma City, Ayron and Paul Casey of Peoria, Ill., Jacquline Smith of Sulphur, Gwendolyn and Jeffrey Cline of Escondido and Merrily Smith of Onalaska, Wash.; and 16 grandchildren.

Born April 2, 1931, in Oaxaca, Mexico, she lived in Fallbrook for 40 years. She was a farm laborer for North County Growers.
Mrs. Galicia is survived by her son, Carlo Galicia of San Diego; daughters Anna Rodriguez, Margarita Galicia and Linda Galicia, all of San Diego, Adriana Galicia of San Ysidro, Agustina Galicia of Tijuana, Mexico, and Margarita Reyna Galicia of Oaxaca; 26 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

OCEANSIDE - Richard H. Lettan, 79, died Monday, April 10, 2000, of cancer, at his home.
Born Nov. 2, 1920, in New York City, he lived in Oceanside for 12 years. He graduated from Lawrenceville School in New Jersey and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and managed the MIT radiation lab during World War II. He worked for Norden, General Precision Lab Division and was a project engineer for Eastman Kodak Co. for 22 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Lamba Chi Alphi fraternity.
Mr. Lettan is survived by his wife of 27 years, Wanda Lettan of Oceanside; sons Richard Lettan Jr. of Ashburn, Vt., Robert Lettan of Rochester, N.Y., and Gary Lettan of Charlottesville, Va.; and three grandchildren.
Interment will take place at the Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, N.Y.

Mr. McCallister is survived by his wife of 35 years, Grace McCallister of Oceanside; daughter and son-in-law Linda-Kay and Morris Johnson of Fredricksburg, Va.; brother William McCallister of Baltimore; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
