Peacefully on Saturday, August 11, 2001 at Lakeridge Health Centre, Whitby, in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late William Walton. Dear friend of Grace Horwood and Ann Coneybeare. Cremation was followed by a private service at St. Paul's on-the-Hill Anglican Church, Pickering. Interment at Erskine Cemetery. Funeral arrangements courtesy of McEachnie Funeral Home, Pickering.

Jack Anonby of Port Perry, loving father of Lauretta Anonby, Ingrid and her husband Richard Whittaker of Victoria Corners, and Erling Anonby and his wife Susan of Ballantrae. Grandfather of Alisa and her husband David Auger, and Laurie and her husband Shawn Hetherington. Great-grandfather of Grace. Relatives and friends will be received at the Wagg Funeral Home, ''McDermott-Panabaker Chapel'', 216 Queen Street in Port Perry, on Monday, August 13th, from 10-11 a.m. A service to celebrate the life of Jack Anonby will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. with Reverend John Griffen officiating. BLAKE, Harrison Charles Eric
A beautiful baby boy was stillborn on Friday August 10, 2001 at Lakeridge Health - Port Perry. We may never know why you left us just a few short days before our lives were to begin together. We do know we already miss his perfect hands and feet, Dad's mouth and Mom's hair. We also deeply miss what may have been, but never will be, while treasuring our nine months of constant companionship. You've given us so much, and taught us even more, that even the ache of your absence could never erase. You'll be in our hearts forever. Sadly missed by parents Peter & Julie Blake of Oshawa, grandparents Jim & Marilyn Einwechter of New Dundee, Pete and Joan Blake of Brooklin, aunts and uncles Sandra & Frank Siragusa of New Dundee, Doug & Kim Einwechter of New Hamburg and Michelle Broughton of Brooklin. BRITTAIN, Sampson Sydney
(Of Pickering, Ontario). passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 79, on Friday, August 10, 2001, with his wife and family by his side. Born in Birmingham, England, August 7, 1922, he served in the British Army for 3 years in India, then immigrated to Canada in 1949. He retired after 38 years with Pitney Bowes of Canada. Predeceased by his first wife Florence Cargill (of England). Survived by his present wife Florence, his daughter Anne Prior, son John, and three granddaughters. Also his 6 stepchildren George, Robert, Steven, and the late David Barkhouse, Deborah Ritch, Margo Thorndyke, Marlene O'Donnell and 17 grandchildren. He was always there to give us strength and a smile when we needed it. We will miss you dear husband, Dad, and Grampa. You will always be with us in our hearts. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, August 13. Suddenly on August 10th, 2001 at his home in his 70th year, died of a heart attack. Retired consultant at W. C. B. in Nanaimo, B. C., and former surgeon at the Oshawa General Hospital in Ontario. He and his wife moved to Nanaimo from Oshawa in 1990. Predeceased by his father, Dr. Oscar G. Mills, his mother Opal and his sister Dorothy Ross all of Oshawa, Ontario. Survivedby his wife Carol, his sons and their wives, Christopher (Jamie) and Linda, David (Toby) and Laura, and two granddaughters Arden and Mackenzie. Private cremation, no service, by his request. Mike returned to his roots in Northern Ontario following the death of his first wife, Lena. Predeceased by her loving husband William E. Brown (12/06/ 190922/10/1996), sister Madeline Arnott (1990), brothers Gordon (1991) and James Kenneth (2001). Survived by sister Kathleen R. BURGIS, Betty (nee Talbot)
Betty died peacefully at Centenary Hospital on the 8th of August, 2001 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 84. Beloved wife and best friend of Harold. Loving mother of John and his wife Carol, David and his wife Elaine. Grandma will greatly missed by grandchildren Lisa, Kevin, Julie and Kyle. Betty leaves her sister Edith and many nieces and nephews in England, Canada, Spain and New Zealand. Betty was born near Durham, England and came to Canada as a War Bride to spend her life with Harold a World War II Veteran spending 57 wonderful years of togetherness. The family wish to express a special thanks to all the staff and doctors at Centenary Hospital and especially to the caregivers and nurses of Durham Homecare Program who for 10 years helped Harold take care of Betty at home.
