JAMES A. CARNLEY SR., 63, Roxbury Road, Winter Park died Saturday, Nov. 6. Mr. Carnley was a maintenance worker for an apartment complex. Born in Geneva, Ala., he moved to Central Florida in 1950. He was a Religious Scientist. He was an Army veteran. Survivors: wife, Joy T.; son, James, Winter Park; daughters, Tana Whitehurst, Winter Park, Shannon Leech, Alabama; stepsons, Jerry Guernsey, Sanford, N.C.; stepdaughters, Darlene McKenzie, Winter Park, Kimberly Simpson, Orlando; sisters, Inez L. Baker, Louise T. Lynch, both of Jonesboro, Ga.; 14 grandchildren. National Cremation Society, Winter Park.

LILLIE MAE COLLINS, 77, 3631 Lincoln St., Sanford, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, of congestive heart failure. Mrs. Collins was a homemaker. Born in Swainsboro, Ga., she moved to Central Florida in 1949. She was a member of St. Matthew's Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors: daughters, Alma Mills, Jessie Mae McKie, Henrene, all of Sanford, Ollie Mae, New Windsor, N.Y., Rosa Lee, Syracuse, N.Y., Mary Joe Dudley, Fayetteville, N.C., Lola D., Audrey, both of Gainesville, Pearl, California; sons, John W. Dixon, Eureka, Calif., Daniel, Pennsylvania, Harold, Sanford; 45 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Sunrise Funeral Home, Sanford.

HERBERT ALFRED DEEN, 61, South Observatory Drive, Orlando, died Saturday, Nov. 6, of cancer. Mr. Deen was a lather in the construction industry. Born in Alachua County, he was a lifelong resident of Central Florida. He was a member of Lake Hill Baptist Church. He was a National Guard veteran. Survivors: wife, Edith; son, Tim, Orlando; daughters, Dana Maddox, Orlando, Niki Deen, Gainsville; mother, Edna, Orlando; three grandchildren. Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Orlando.

GEORGE E. EPPS, 54, Dellwood Drive, Longwood, died Sunday, Nov. 7, of cancer. Mr. Epps was an account executive for C.A. Meyer Paving and Construction Co. Born in New London, Conn., he moved to Central Florida in 1958. He was a member of National Bicycle League and served as a council member. He also developed courses for competition bike riding. He was a Navy veteran. Survivors: wife, Beverly, Altamonte Springs; sons, Chad, Lake Mary, Matt, Longwood; brother, Frank, Portland, Ore.; sister, Shirley Evans, Winter Park. CRAIG FLEMING, 37, Peartree Court, Orlando, died Friday, Nov. 5. Mr. Fleming was a courier. Born in Rockford, Ill., he moved to Central Florida in 1998. Survivors: mother, Pat, Longwood; father, Joseph, Rockford; maternal grandmother, Ramona Utterberg, McMinnville, Ore.; sister, Karen Milburn, Rockford; brothers, Brian, Scott, both of Rockford, Marty Dean, Orlando. EDWARD MCKINLEY FRENCH JR., 82, Pepperridge Drive, Orlando, died Saturday, Nov. 6, of congestive heart failure. Mr. French worked in engineering at Lockheed Martin. Born in Newcastle, Pa., he moved to Central Florida in 1957. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando. He was a member of American Kite-fliers Association, Central Florida Rose Society, Florida Garden Railway Association, Alpha Chi Rho and Sigma Gamma Epsilon fraternities. WILLIAM H. GAGE, 87, 3060 N. Atlantic Ave., Apt. 507, Cocoa Beach, died Wednesday, Nov. 3. Mr. Gage was an attorney. Born in Chicago, he moved to Central Florida in 1979. He was a member of Cocoa Beach Boating Club. He was a Mason. He was a member of Lutheran Church of Resurrection. Survivors: wife, Arlene; son, Stanley, Ontario; daughter, Portia, San Jose, Calif.; stepson, Richard Ziburske, Austin, Texas; stepdaughter, Lynn Hanson, Arvada, Colo. CLAIRE CAVENAUGH GARRISON, 74, Paradise Lane, Edgewater, died Saturday, Nov. 6. Mrs. Garrison was a homemaker. Born in Burgaw, N.C., she moved to Central Florida in 1976. She was a member of Coronado Community United Methodist Church. She was also a member of AARP. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Vermont Genealogical Society and Orlando Genealogical Society. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors: daughter, Beverly A. She was a member of Roots and Branches Genealogical Society and Jubilee Vasa Lodge. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
