ALBANY - Lois Condrey, 68, of Baconton died Monday, December 15, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at Vision Covenant Fellowship Church with the Rev. Joe Rayberg officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
A native of Rincon, GA, Mrs. Condrey had lived in Baconton since 1957. She was a graduate of GA Baptist Nursing School and worked as an RN until her retirement in 1994 from Palmyra Medical Centers. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross, a member of the Toastmaster's Club and Vision Covenant Fellowship Church.
Survivors include her husband, Boria Condrey, Sr. of Baconton; a daughter, Lisa Condrey Ferguson and her husband Jack of Ellenwood, GA; a son, Boria Condrey, Jr. of Albany; two grandchildren, Zachary and Gracie Ferguson; five sisters and their husbands, Callie and Ray Bridges of Covington, Betty and Jr. Blankenship of Preston, Carrie Nell and Dixie Warren of Riverdale, Nancy and Roy Chandler of Phenix City, AL, and Linda and Herman Moore of Folkston.
The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern today, from 6 PM until 8 PM.

ALBANY - Eva Dean Fuller Cravey, 66, of 1276 Rockmart Rd., Villa Rica, Ga. died Saturday, December 13, 2003.
The funeral will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday at Mathews Funeral Home with interment in the Leesburg Cemetery. The Pastors Kevin Bires and Robie Anderson will officiate.
A native of Talapoosa County, Ala., Mrs. Cravey resided in Villa Rica moving there from Albany. She was a textile worker and of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Cravey of Villa Rica; two daughters and their husbands, Marlene and James Brown of Carrollton, Beverly and David Staton of Villa Rica; one son and his wife, John and Juanita Bires of Carrollton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Hardin of Villa Rica, Mavis and Raleigh Cravey of Albany; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James Bires; three brothers, Alvin, James, and Calvin Fuller; and a sister, May Bedford.
The family will be at the residence of Raleigh and Mavis Cravey, 161 Cedric St., Leesburg, and will receive friends today from 6-8 P.M. at Mathews Funeral Home.

Born November 12, 1925, in Worth County, to Walter Watson Gossett and Libby Hutchinson Gossett, Miss Gossett was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

ALBANY - James Richard (J.R.) Grubbs Sr., 78, of 7055 Florida Short Route, Dawson died Sunday, December 14, 2003, at his residence.
The graveside funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery in Worth County with the Rev. Steve Youngblood officiating.
A native of Worth County, he was born to John Dillard Grubbs and Ida Johnson Grubbs. Mr. Grubbs had resided in the Albany area since 1940 and moved to Terrell County 19 years ago. He was the owner and operator of Grubbs Grocery for 30 years. After his retirement, for the past ten years, he worked part time for Mark's Melon Patch. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a Mason. Mr. Grubbs was a member of Raleigh White Baptist Church and the Fisherman's Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his former wife and the mother of his children, Joyce Metts Grubbs of Leesburg; two sons, James Richard Grubbs Jr. of Valdosta, Jeff Grubbs and his wife, Tracy of Dawson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Robert Drummond of Acworth, Joy and Joe Register of Sylvester; one brother, Earl Grubbs of Sylvester; two sisters, Marie Halstead of Leesburg, and Alma Little of Americus; three grandchildren, Michele Register McCook and her husband Craig of Albany, Ron Register of Sylvester, Jordan Grubbs of Dawson; one great-grandchild, Cameron McCook. Mr. Grubbs was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Harry Grubbs, and four sisters, Nadine Tumlin, Rhoda Brown, Clara Golden, and Willie Allen.

ALBANY - Mary Hayden Seay, 83, of 1321 Hampton Court died Sunday, December 7, 2003, at Heartland Health Care Center.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel AME Church with interment in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Ernest Davis Jr. will officiate.
Born July 22, 1903, Mrs. Seay was an educator. She was a graduate of Albany State University with additional studies at Georgia State University. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Nine O'Clocks, Lillie S. Page Service Club and Pink Ladies Palmyra Medical Centers.
Survivors include three daughters, Thelma Watson, Aurora Page and Eleanor Kaye Seay; two brothers, William (Jane) Watson and Emeral (Lillian) Hayden; one sister, Louise Tarver; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Friends will be received at the home of Thelma Watson, 3005 Winterwood Ave.
