A service will be held this week for NANCY SOMKITH PHONGSAVATH, 12, who was killed in an Aug. 22 traffic accident on Kamehameha IV Road as she returned from school.
She was a student at Sanford B. Dole Middle School.

She is survived by her parents, Bounsouane and Somchit; sisters, Julie, Annie, Lisa and Tina; brother, Vithagna; and grandmother, Chanh Keukham. Friends may call for Buddhist services 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Borthwick Mortuary. Cremation will follow.

Real-estate developer RALPH D. CORNUELLE, whose research helped guide Hawai‘i developers through a turbulent decade, died Aug. 17 in Del Mar, Calif., after a long battle with colon cancer. He was 69. See story.
