Craig - Wilma Rose Jelineck, 91, Clemson, S.C., died 10/9/01. Born, Crow Lake, S.D. (11/1/09). Graduated, University of Nebraska. Former elementary schoolteacher. Avid gardener. Active in Bethesda community, where she was known for her beautiful gardens. Life member, Republican Party, Naval Dental Wives Club, Bethesda Community Garden Club. Expert in ikebana flower arrangement and attended Bethesda Presbyterian Church. Enjoyed traveling with husband, Capt. Morris Charles Craig, Dental Corps, U.S. Navy, who had tours of duty that included U.S. Naval Academy, Philadelphia Naval Base, Mare Island Naval Base, Calif.; Coronado Naval Air Station; Guam Naval Base; Bethesda Naval Hospital (two tours of duty); and Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Her personal travels took her to Hawaii, Japan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Thailand, England and Scotland.

Miller - Paul C., 81, Alexandria, Va., died 9/29/01 in Arlington, Va. Born, Canton, China, child of missionary parents. Grew up in Lincoln, where he met Marie Benzel, wife of 55 years. Gave life to Christ, December 1934. Attended University of Nebraska. Joined Nebraska National Guard, 1937. Served, U.S. Army, 20 years; POW in World War II; Korean War; retired in 1960 as lieutenant colonel. Former chief of ceremonies and special events at Military District, Washington, D.C., 26 years. Helped plan funerals of Presidents John F. Kennedy, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Harry S. Truman and Lyndon Baines Johnson. Involved in every president's inaugural from President Truman to George H.W. Bush. Active in Plymouth Haven Baptist Church and Downtown Baptist Church. Former president, Board of Covenant Village, Christian retreat, serving congregations and inner-city kids from metropolitan Washington, D.C., area.
