RARITAN TWP. - John A. Enea died May 20, 2003, at Hunterdon Medical Center. He was 76. Born in Croton, a son of Andrew and Mary Forejt Enea, he had resided in Raritan Township most of his life. A lifelong farmer, Mr. Enea also formerly worked as a self-employed contractor. He was formerly employed by Delaware Valley Farmers Cooperative and by Agway,, both of Flemington. Surviving are his wife, Beatrice Williamson Enea; a son, John Enea Jr. of Raritan Township; two daughters, Marie Brown of Easton and Helen Naudus of Bethlehem, Pa.; three sisters, Pauline Williamson of Freehold, Julia Taylor of Raritan Township and Patrina Mount of Aiken, S.C.; a brother, Charles Enea of Flemington; and five grandchildren. A Funeral Liturgy was held Saturday at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Baptistown. Interment was in St. Magdalen Cemetery in Flemington under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington.

Max E. Malchow
RARITAN TWP. - Max Edward Malchow died Sunday, May 25, 2003 at home. He was 85. He was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the son of Max and Erlena Shimp Malchow, and came to the U.S. in 1952. He became a naturalized citizen in 1958. He lived in Collingswood and Pennsauken before moving to Raritan Township in 1964. Until his retirement in 1985, he was an engineering leader and manager employed by R.C.A. Corp. in Bridgewater. He held more than over 20 patents in electronic circuit design. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Aneila (Nellie) Malchow; a daughter, Maxine Malchow Scott of Schaumburg, Ill.; a son, Douglas Malchow of Lawrenceville; two sisters, June Malchow Spackmann and Lilla May Malchow Kaulback, both of Calgary; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home in Flemington. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Elliot H. Bruen
MIDDLEBURY CENTER, Pa. - Elliot H. Bruen died July 9, 2002 in Wellsboro Pa. following an automobile accident. A granddaughter, Toni Jean DiBello, also died in the accident. He was the father of Marvin Bruen of Lebanon Township and the brother of Denise Guilloud of Stockton. Mr. Bruen lived in Mine Hill for most of his life until moving to Middlebury Center in 1997. He was a maintenance man for the Mine Hill Board of Education for 25 years until retiring in 1997. He was a life member, past captain and EMT for the Mine Hill Rescue Squad. An Army veteran, he was a member of the American Legion Post in Mine Hill. He was a former member of the Mine Hill Presbyterian Church. In addition to his son and sister, he is survived by his wife, Remedios "Remmy" Pando Bruen; another son, Elliot Bruen, Jr. of Netcong; three daughters, Dorothy Upshaw of Marlboro, N.Y., Shirley Ernst of Mine Hill and Jean DiBello of East Stroudsburg, Pa. another sister, Pauline Van Emburg of Deltona, Fla.; a brother Bruce, Bozzi of Newton and 11 grandchildren. Services were Friday at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph. Bartholomew Conroy
SEASIDE PARK - Bartholomew "Bert" M. Conroy died on July 7, 2002, at the Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was 85. Born in Bound Brook, he was the son of Dennis and Mary Ellen Cusick Conroy. He formerly lived in Somerville and Whitehouse Station before moving to Seaside Park 16 years ago. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Quartermaster Corps and attaining the rank of first lieutenant. He was the former owner of the Union Hotel bar and restaurant, now called Spiotta at Whitehouse Station, for 15 years before retiring in 1984. He was co-owner of Blue Front Liquors in Seaside Park with his son, Thomas, from 1986 to 1996. He was a life member of the American Legion Post in Bound Brook, the Elks Lodge in Bound Brook and the Martinsville V.F.W. Post. Mr. Conroy was a former member of the Bound Brook Volunteer Fire Department Ivy Hook and Ladder Co., the Bound Brook Exempt Firemen's Association and the New Jersey State Exempt Firemen's Association. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Seaside Park. Mr. Conroy is survived by one son, Thomas Conroy of Forked River; one daughter, Elaine Prieto of Washington D.C.; two sisters, Mary Miller of Manchester Township and Ann Geiger of Lackawaxen, Pa. and five grandchildren. Services were held Saturday from the James W. Conroy Funeral Home in South Plainfield followed by a funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield. Entombment was at the Holy Redeemer Mausoleum in South Plainfield.

Zaidee M. Diehl
FLEMINGTON - Zaidee M. Diehl died Saturday, July 13, 2002 at home. She was 72. Born in Altus, Okla., she resided in Warren Township many years before moving to Flemington six years ago. She was a homemaker who was an active member of the New Jersey Opera Company and the Overlook Follies. She was an avid tennis player who belonged to the Clover Hill Tennis Club. She is survived by her husband, Frederick A. Diehl, M.D.; a daughter, Linda Fallone; a son, Frederick W. Diehl; a sister, Elizabeth Tennery and three grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday at Speer-VanArsdale Funeral Home in Somerville, followed by burial in Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.

William C. Errickson
LEHIGHTON, Pa. - William C. Errickson died July 7, 2002, at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. He was 70. Born in Copper Hill, he was the son of Herbie and Elizabeth Sierp Errickson. He lived in Quakertown, Pa., before moving to Lehighton. He was a retired carpenter who worked for Woodlawn Fence Company in Quakertown, Pa., After retiring he was a stocker at Big Lots department store in Lehighton. He was an Army veteran. He was associated with the Lehighton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara A. Liggett Errickson; a son, William C. Errickson Jr., of Quakertown, Pa.; three daughters, Susan Donner of Lehighton, Emily Millard of Richlandtown, Pa. and Audrey Humphreys of Quakertown, Pa.; two brothers, Joseph Errickson of Quakertown, Pa., and Jack Errickson of South Bound Brook; two sisters, Helen Walch of South Bound Brook and Addie Larken of California and seven grandchildren. Graveside services were Friday at Quakertown (Pa.) Union Cemetery under the direction of C.R. Struck Funeral Home in Quakertown, Pa. Irene C. Fisher
EAST MILLSTONE - Irene C. Fisher died July 10, 2002 at home. She was 91. Born in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of Frederick and Stella Caseley Curtis. She lived in Martinsville for many years before moving to Allen County, Ky. in 1972. In 1979, she moved to East Millstone. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the East Millstone United Methodist Church. Her husband, Arthur B. Fisher, formerly of Sergeantsville, died in 1987. She is survived by a son, Arthur B. Fisher Jr. of Washington; a daughter, Marion Randolph of East Millstone; a sister, Anne Smith of Yardley, Pa.; a brother, Raymond Curtis of Manahawkin; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; two step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at the church, followed by burial in Bound Brook Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Taggart-Chamberlain Funeral Home in Bound Brook. Mary Lou Hamblin
WHITEHOUSE STATION - Mary Lou Hamblin died July 10, 2002 at Hunterdon Medical Center. She was 60. Born in Pocono Pines, Pa. to Claude and Thelma Wilson, she had been a resident of Whitehouse Station for 32 years. Mrs. Hamblin worked as an administrative assistant in the membership department for the U.S. Golf Association in Far Hills. She was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, C. David Hamblin; two sons, Loren of Oxford and Shawn of Uhlerstown, Pa.; a sister, Gayle Jasakolka of Pocono Pines; a brother, James Wilson of Pocono Pines and two grandchildren. Services were held on Saturday at the Kearns Funeral Home in Whitehouse.

Chloe "Lois" Rothbard Hansson
HIGH BRIDGE - Chloe "Lois" Rothbard Hansson died Sunday, July 14, 2002 at home. She was 56. She was born in Newark, the daughter of Harold and Evelyn Ladell Rothbard. She lived in High Bridge for 23 years. She graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in fine arts in 1968. She also attended the New School and Cornell University. She was a self-employed freelance artist. She was also a social worker with DRC in Somerville for six years. She was a member of the Arts Community of Easton. Her father died previously. Mrs. Hansson is survived by her mother, of Las Vegas; her husband, Gunnar Hansson; a daughter, Jessica Hansson of Riegelsville, Pa.; a son, Ian Hansson of Boulder, Colo. and a sister, Janis Chaskin of North Hollywood, Calif. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home in Clinton. The calling hour will start at 2 p.m. Burial will be private. HOLLAND TWP. - Elvie M. Hagerty Henderson died July 11, 2002, at Brakely Park Center in Lopatcong Township. She was 99. Born in Ardmore, Pa., she was a daughter of William and Annie Creeley Hagerty. She moved to Milford in 1938, and then to Holland Township in 1965. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Edwin S. Henderson., died previously. Surviving are two sons, Edwin S. Jr. and Robert, both of Holland Township; a sister, Ruth Montagne of Bala Cynwyd, Pa., six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Private funeral services were under the direction of W.E. Julius Hribik
HILLSBOROUGH TWP. - Julius Hribik died on Saturday, July 13, 2002 in the Foothill Acres Nursing Home in Neshanic. He was 81. Born in Czechoslovakia, he lived in Rockaway, Hillsborough and Manville before moving back to Hillsborough 11 years ago. Mr. Hribik retired in 1982 after working for Johns-Manville for 40 years in the security department. He was also a special police officer for Hillsborough Township from 1954 to 1979. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Manville VFW Post. Mr. Hribik was a member of the Mary Mother of God Catholic Church here. Surviving are his wife, Julia; a son, Stephen of Readington Township; two daughters, Mary Andrus of East Greenbush, N.Y. and Christine Brisebois of Hillsborough, 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services were held yesterday from the Hillsborough Funeral Home. A funeral liturgy was held in the Mary Mother of God Church. Interment followed in the St. Bernard's Cemetery in Bridgewater.

Joan Watkin Hunt
KINGWOOD TWP. - Joan Watkin Hunt died Friday, July 12, 2002 in Hunterdon Medical Center. She was 72. She was born in Trenton, the daughter of James and Mildred Sumner Watkin. She lived in Kansas and Virginia before moving to Kingwood Township in 1959. She was a graduate of Trenton Central High School and of the Ann May School of Nursing in Neptune. She was a pediatric nurse at Hunterdon Medical Center and later was a volunteer there for many years. She was a member of the Kingwood United Methodist Church in Kingwood Township. A son, Derrick Hunt, died in 1956 and a brother, Richard Watkin, died in 1944. She is survived by her husband, Jarrett Hunt, and a sister, Ruth Greschak of West Windsor. Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Kingwood United Church in Kingwood Township. Burial will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington. Claire Muller Johnson, 90, Led Flemington Cut Glass
JUNO BEACH, Fla. - Claire Muller Johnson died July 11, 2002 at Jupiter Hospital here. She was 90. Born in Philadelphia, a daughter of Jules and Edith Remmlein, she graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia, and came to Flemington to teach home economics at Flemington High School in 1935. She resided in the Flemington area all her life from then until moving to Florida 10 years ago. She became president of Flemington Cut Glass in 1970 after the death of her husband, former County Freeholder Ralph Muller. His father had started the firm in 1908. She worked with her husband in the family business for many years, doing personnel work, going on buying trips and in various other ways helping run the operation. She became president of Flemington Glass Enterprises, a real estate holding firm, in 1984 and remained active until her death. She once served as president of the Flemington-Raritan Board of Education. She was a past president of the Flemington Womans Club, of which she was a member more than 50 years. She was instrumental in the founding of the Flemington-Raritan Community Pool Association and was a volunteer at Hunterdon Medical Center for over 25 years and also volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital, West Palm Beach, Fla. She was also a member of the Grandview Grange, Flemington and was active in many other community organizations. Ralph Muller died in 1970 and her second husband, Arthur Johnson, died in 1990. A daughter, Barbara Hill, who was a mayor of Flemington, died in 1994. Surviving are two sons, County Freeholder George Muller of Raritan Township and Roy Muller of Charlestown, W. Va.; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A memorial mass will be said Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Magdalen Catholic Church in Flemington. Interment will be private in the church cemetery, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington. Barbara Marzinsky
DELAWARE TWP. - Barbara Nemeth Marzinsky died July 11, 2002 at Hunterdon Medical Center. She was 47. Born in Perth Amboy, a daughter of Joseph V. and Margaret Liscensky Nemeth, she also lived in Middletown and South Amboy before moving here 28 years ago. Mrs. Marzinsky graduated from Rider University in Trenton with a bachelor of science degree in economics and management. She worked for Delaware Valley Health Center in Milford as a patient service representative. She is survived by her husband, Cary Marzinsky, two daughters, Margaret and Katherine Marzinsky of Delaware Township, and a sister, Terry Nemeth Pecoraro of Danville, Calif. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Baptistown. Burial was in Rosemont Cemetery under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington. Rita M. Neuls
WEST AMWELL TWP. - Rita M. Neuls died on Friday, July 12, 2002 at the Doylestown (Pa.) Hospital. She was 82. Born in Lambertville to Peter and Annie Angelo Dillione, she was a lifelong resident. For many years, Mrs. Neuls worked at Arthur Ansley Electronics in Newtown, Pa. and part-time at the New Hope-Solebury High School cafeteria. She was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lambertville and its altar and rosary society. Her husband, Walter P. Neuls, died in 1987. Her two brothers, Francis and Alfred Dillione, and a sister, Mary Dillione, also died earlier. Surviving is a sister, Geraldine Ollio of Lambertville. Services were held yesterday from the Garefino Funeral Home in Lambertville. A funeral liturgy was held at the St. John the Evangelist Church. Interment followed in the Holcombe-Riverview Cemetery in Delaware Township.

Louise Olimpaito
RINGOES - Louise Olimpaito died Friday, July 12, 2002, at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township. She was 90. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary Rimassa LoPinto. She lived in Lyndhurst before moving to Ringoes in 1966. She was employed as a seamstress by Bedford Undergarment Co. in Newark until her retirement in 1966. Her first husband, Rocco Carbone, died in 1972 and her second husband, Anton Olimpaito, died in 1999. Survivors include one son, John Carbone of Lyndhurst; one daughter, Carol Olimpaito of Ringoes; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home in Flemington. Entombment followed in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington. Henry "Harry" O'Rourke
HILLSBOROUGH TWP. - Henry "Harry" O'Rourke died July 10, 2002 at Somerset Medical Center. He was 67. He was currently working as a certified drug and alcohol abuse counselor with the Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program in Flemington, where he had been since 1989. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Harry and Sarah O'Rourke, he was a longtime resident of Manville before moving to Hillsborough 12 years ago. Mr. O'Rourke was a career Air Force officer, serving from 1953 to 1974. He was stationed in Thailand and Vietnam as well as stateside locations. He received the Bronze Star for heroism and the New Jersey Distinguished Service Medal. He retired with the rank of technical sergeant. He was a lifetime member of the Manville VFW Post. Mr. O'Rourke was a member of Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church in Hillsborough, where he had served as a eucharistic minister and lector. He was a member of the Adoration Society. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jeanette O'Rourke; two sons, Kevin O'Rourke of Alameda, Calif. and Brian O'Rourke of Bethlehem Township, Pa.; a daughter, Eileen Rogalski of Pohatcong Township; a brother, James O'Rourke of Islandia, N.Y. and five grandchildren. A liturgy service took place Tuesday at the church, followed by burial in Brig. Gen. William Doyle Veterans Cemetery in New Egypt. The Ketusky Funeral Home in Manville directed arrangements. Herbert Paul Pfingst
EAST AMWELL TWP. - Herbert Paul Pfingst died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, in Hunterdon Medical Center. He was 82. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., he was the son of Adolph and Anna Donaldson Pfingst. He had formerly resided in River Edge, Old Tappan, Tewksbury Township and Rome, Pa. before moving to East Amwell Township six years ago. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Mr. Pfingst owned and operated Pfingst & Co. of South Plainfield, an importer and manufacturer of dental equipment. He retired from the business 15 years ago. His wife, Muriel Beach Pfingst, died in 1970. He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn O'Day of Evanston, Ill.; a son, David Pfingst of Ringoes; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington. Interment will be in Westwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.

Viola Z. Reamer
FLEMINGTON - Viola Z. Reamer died July 13, 2002, in Rolling Hills of Hunterdon Care Center in Clinton Township. She was 101. Born in Ringoes, she was the daughter of Louis and Emma Johnson Zabriskie. She had resided in Flemington most of her life. A homemaker, she was also employed at one time by Stangl Pottery and by the Hunterdon County Democrat, both in Flemington. She was a member of the Flemington Baptist Church. Her husband, Harold Reamer, died in 1967. Survivors include a son, Harold Reamer Jr. of New Providence; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Flemington. Calling hours will be Saturday 7-9 p.m., in the funeral home.

Kathryn E. Royle
DELAWARE TWP. - Kathryn E. Royle died July 10, 2002, at her home. She was 91. Born in Lancaster, Pa., she was the daughter of Frank and Kathryn Kurtz. She grew up in Falls Township, Pa. and lived in Delaware Township since 1955. She was a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in English. She taught kindergarten in Glen Gardner School for 15 years. Survivors include her husband, Frend Royle; a son, Frend Royle III of Delaware Township; two daughters, Ruth Kolarsick of Osprey, Fla. and Rebekah Mead of Oneonta, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday at the Garefino Funeral Home in Lambertville. Burial was in the George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.

Warren E. Sondervan
NORTH PLAINFIELD - Warren E. Sondervan died July 11, 2002 in Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He was 75. He was born in Paterson, the son of Richard and Carrie Teleger Sondervan. He lived in Reaville before moving to North Plainfield 28 years ago. He was a chemical reactor operator for Beecham Corp. in Dunellen, retiring in 1990. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. A son, Ricky Sondervan, died in 1999. He is survived by two sons, William Sondervan of Crofton, Md. and Rennie Sondervan of Phillipsburg; two grandchildren and a great-grandson. Services were held Sunday at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington. Burial was in Cherryville Cemetery.

Susan B. Wynn
KINGWOOD TWP. - Susan B. Wynn died July 4, 2002, at Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township. She was 76. Born in Crystal Hill, Va., a daughter of Charles L. and Viola Hodges Bass Bates, she lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Belleville before moving to Kingwood Township 43 years ago. She was an active member of Baptistown Baptist Church. She attended the State University of New York, earning a degree in nursing. She worked as a licensed practical nurse in Brooklyn, and then worked for more than 30 years as an emergency room and floor nurse at Hunterdon Medical Center. She also worked for Dr. Nicholas Cifelli in Raritan Township for more than 25 years. Mrs. Wynn was a Girl Scout leader in Kingwood Township for more than 10 years. She enjoyed reading, baseball and doing crossword puzzles. A brother, Hartell Bates, and two sisters, Maria Stevens and Grace Cowan, died previously. Surviving are three daughters, Constance Wynn-Smith of Neptune, Kathleen Wynn of Somerville and Karen Wynn of Frenchtown; a brother, Morrell Bates of Edison, and a granddaughter. A memorial service was held Saturday at the Baptistown Baptist Church. Arrangements were by the W.E. Johnson Funeral Home in Holland Township.
