Carl Rudolph Wilhelm, 76, formerly of North Tonawanda of Sunday (March 14, 2004) at Newfane Intercommunity Hospital after a long illness. Carl was a WWII US Army Veteran. He was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church and was the Maintenance person and bell ringer at the church for many years. He was the son of the late Rudolph and Elenora Wilhelm.
Dear brother of Roy Wilhelm, Sr. of Virginia Beach, VA, and brother-in-law of Virginia Wilhelm of Tonawanda. Dear Uncle of Roy Jr, Ronald, Roger (Janet) Wilhelm, Donna (Theodore) Rose, Dianna (Gil) Padilla, David, Randy and Denny Wilhelm and Regina Chambers. Also survived by 16 grand nieces and nephews.
Friends received by the family on Wednesday evening 7-9 pm at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda where services will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00. The Rev. Devie Ellis, officiating. Interment will be private at White Chapel Cemetery.

Vanthoff, Sally (nee Budwey) 59, of North Tonawanda on Monday (February 3, 2003) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Sally was the Vice President and Secretary of Budweys Supermarkets, Inc. Daughter of the late James Norman Budwey and Step-daughter of the late Edward Arnst.
Beloved daughter of Flora (nee Pallota) Budwey Arnst of North Tonawanda. Former wife of Richard “Shorty” Vanthoff. Loving mother of Gordon (Adriane) Vanthoff and LeAnn Vanthoff both of Grand Island. Dear sister of James (Barbara Schweichler) Budwey of Boston, MA, Rodney Budwey and Frank Budwey both of North Tonawanda, Cathy (Al) Durgin of New Orleans, LA, Jennifer (Terry) Schumacher of Wheatfield and Paula Lopez of North Tonawanda. Loving grandmother of Alyssa, Richard, Justine and Robert Vanthoff. Also survived by several Aunt, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and friends.

Malone, Barry R. 44 of North Tonawanda, suddenly, on Monday (January 20, 2003) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Barry was a member of Ascension R.C. Church. Assistant Fire Chief of the North Tonawanda Fire Department. Barry was a fireman for 18 years and was the Vice President of the North Tonawanda Professional Firefighters Association. Barry was a member of the Renaissance Club and a 1976 graduate of North Tonawanda Sr. High School. Son of the late Raymond P. Malone.
Beloved husband of Mary (nee Michaels) Malone of North Tonawanda. Loving father of Samantha, Raymond and Veronica Malone. Beloved son of Judith Malone (Robert Likus) of North Tonawanda. Dear brother of Peter (Sharon) Malone, Sheila (John) Steiner, Elayne (Samuel) Messana all of North Tonawanda and Patrick T. Malone of Atlanta, GA. Son-in-law of Rita Michaels, Brother-in-law of Steve (Yvonne) Michaels and Carrie (Mark) King. Step-brother of Robert Likus, Richard (Rhonda) Likus and Suzanne Cason. Also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Marlin F. “Duke” Muir
Decorated Vietnam Veteran
Marlin F. Muir, “Duke”, 57 of North Tonawanda on Sunday, March 30, 2003. Duke was an In-Country Vietnam Veteran who was awarded a Purple Heart and three Bronze Stars. He retired from Durez Plastics Company as a millwright in 1994 and became an avid golfer and woodworker in his retirement. He is the father of the late Jason Muir and brother of the late Noradell Thompson, Shirley Kindya and Geradine Boring.
Surviving is his loving wife, Paula (nee Wisnieski) Muir of North Tonawanda, Their daughters Melanie (Jason) O’Bara of Batavia and Rebecca “Becky” Muir of Buffalo; he is the proud grandfather of Erin Rose O’Bara and dear brother of Melvin Lee (Sharon) Muir of Wheatfield, Donna (Anthony) Penich and Robert Muir, both of Pennsylvania.. Son-in-law of Walter C. (Shirley) Wisnieski also of North Tonawanda. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Frances Metzger, 72, of North Tonawanda on Thursday (April 29, 2003) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Frances was a member of Ascension R.C. Church. She retired from Columbus-McKinnon in Tonawanda where she was an office manager. She was active with her friends in the card “Club”. Daughter of the late Frank and Martha Metzger and sister of the late Grace Wisniewski.
Beloved sister of Frank (Beverly) Metzger, John (Carol) Metzger and Thomas (Glenda) Metzger all of North Tonawanda. Loving aunt of ten nieces and nephews and twenty great nieces and nephews and one great great nephew.

Mary Hrybinczak
Mary Hrybinczak at 90 at the Niagara Rehabilitation Center in Niagara Falls on Wednesday, April 7th, 2004. Mary was born in Wilkes-Barre PA and has lived in Niagara Falls since 1941. She worked for the New York Telephone Company for 27 years and retired in 1979. Mary was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Byzantine Rite. Daughter of the late James Sivick and Tillie (nee Pituck) Sivick.
Left to mourn the passing of Mary is her daughter Anna Smith of North Tonawanda. She is the grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Mary selected cremation and her family will have graveside services at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Niagara Falls.
