Barbara N. Moss
Barbara Nein Moss, 74, of Camden, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 2, at Westover Retirement Community in Hamilton.
Born July 24, 1924, in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Raymond C. and Gladys (Cox) Nein. She was a 1942 graduate of Camden High School and a graduate of Hamilton Business College. She was employed for many years at the First National Bank in Camden, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Camden and of the Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Moss Jr., whom she married Dec. 7, 1946; her parents; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include four children, Janet R. (Harvey) Weherley, Kimberly (Jay) Hensley, Pamela J. (Kenneth) Messer and Jeffrey W. (Karen) Moss, all of Camden; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Richard (Betty Lou) Nein of Middletown, William (Wilma) Nein of Miamisburg and Raymond (Betty) Nein of Cincinnati; her best friend, Helen Jane Flick of Trenton; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 6, at R.C. Nein & Sons-Thompson Funeral Home, Camden, with the Rev. William Walthour of the Camden First United Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Greg Jackson of the Camden First Southern Baptist Church and the Rev. Marvin Hocker of the Camden Church of God officiating. Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Camden Town Hall Restoration Project, c/o John White, 327 S. Lafayette St., Camden, Ohio 45311; to the Camden-Somers Township Fire Department, P.O. Box 154, Camden, Ohio 45311; or to the Camden Emergency Squad, 20 1/2 N. Liberty St, Camden, Ohio 45311.

J.D. Hunsucker
J.D. Hunsucker, 95, of Central Avenue, West Alexandria, died Friday, Feb. 5, at Governor Harris Homestead in Eaton.
Born Dec. 28, 1903, in Bristol, Va., he was the son of Bruce and Lida (Shafer) Hunsucker. He had retired from Dayton Tire & Rubber after 25 years, and was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in West Alexandria.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Etta Hunsucker; a daughter, Helen Cail of Eaton; a sister, Edith Bright of Bristol, Va.; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Don Hunsucker and Clyde Hunsucker; four sisters, Charmie Dixon, Earlia Goode, Bonnie Bright and Ethel Rutherford; a brother, Dewey Hunsucker; and a grandson.
Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 8, at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, with the Rev. Daniel Snider officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria.

Pauline B. Stephenson
Pauline B. Stephenson, 88, of Fairhaven, died Thursday, Feb. 4, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind.
Born Aug. 19, 1910, in Morgan County, Ind., she was the daughter of Homer and Jennie (Moore) Baldwin. She was a member of Fairhaven United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Stephenson, whom she married Jan. 16, 1928, in Greenfield, Ind.; her parents; a brother, Frank Baldwin; and a sister, Lola Busbee.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Clyde and Lynne Stephenson of Camden, Vernon and Leigh Stephenson of Richmond, Va.; a daughter, Carol Stephenson; two sisters, Kathryn Thomas of Glenwood, W. Va., and Bertha Simpson of Speedway City, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 9, at R.C. Nein & Sons-Thompson Funeral Home, Camden, with the Rev. Ken Barton officiating. Burial was in Miamitown Cemetery.

Gertrude L. Heenan
Gertrude L. Heenan, 95, a resident of Heartland of Eaton, died Saturday, Jan. 30, at Hospice of Dayton. She was a former resident of Dayton.
Mrs. Heenan was an employee of Elder Beerman for many years.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and John Guethlen of Eaton, Una and James Gravitt of Bradenton, Fla.; five grandchildren, Dorothy Guethlen, Susan Seitz, Sandra Haas, Linda Gottliebsen and James Michael Gravitt; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, John Guethlen; and a nephew, Paul White.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Morton & Whetsone Funeral Home, Vandalia, with the Rev. Ronald Hajarian officiating. Burial was in Price Cemetery, Richwood, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, or to the Diabetes Association.

Dorothy M. Falknor
Dorothy Marie Falknor, 67, formerly of Castine, died Sunday, Feb. 7, at Gade Nursing Home in Greenville.
Born June 2, 1931, in Brookville, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Marie (Fortney) Reed.
Survivors include two daughters, Janet M. Dershem of Greenville and Terrie Hofacker of New Paris; three grandchildren; two brothers, Charles A. Reed of Eaton and Albert C. "Pete" Reed of New Carlisle; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard O. Falknor, on April 5, 1985; a son, Russell "Rusty" Falknor: two sisters, Ruth Windhorst and Elsie Smith; a brother, Roy E. Reed; and a grandson, Daniel L. Hofacker Jr.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Michael Chapel, West Manchester, with the Rev. Jim Condrey officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at the funeral Home. Burial will be in Castine Cemetery.

Ethel M. Austerman
Ethel M. Austerman, 95, of Richmond, Ind., died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 5, at her home.
Born Aug. 27, 1903, in Wayne County, Ind., she was the daughter of Hamilton and Mattie (Manifold) Williams, and had lived in Richmond most of her life.
She retired in 1967 as a school teacher with the Richmond Community Schools where she taught at Highland and Crestdale Schools. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church; and the National, Indiana and Wayne County Retired Teachers Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Austerman, in 1989.
Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins.
Prayer services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Chapel, 222 N. 10th St., Richmond, Ind., followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, with the Rev. Todd Riebe officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery, Richmond, Ind.

Emma Patrick
Emma Patrick, 71, of 303 N. Spring St., New Paris, died Monday morning, Jan. 11, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind., after an extended illness.
Born March 25, 1927, in Honaker, Ky., she was the daughter of Johnny and Rhoda (Harvery) Kidd and stepfather, Frank Kidd. She retired in 1983 as a cook for the C.R. Coblentz School District. Mrs. Patrick was a member of the New Paris Church of Christ, the Preble County Democratic Club, and was an active bowler.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, James W. Patrick; a son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Barbara Patrick of New Paris; a daughter and son-in-law, Sondra and Jon Anderson of New Paris; three brothers, Frank Kidd Jr. of Dana, Ky., Truman Kidd of Honaker, Ky., and Russell B. Kidd of Herold, Ky.; three sisters, Birchie Case of New London, Ohio, Oval Bolen and Oma Ricer, both of Willard, Ohio; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Burley Kidd, in 1982, and Earmel Kidd, in 1962; a sister, Annie Bolen, in 1998; and a great-granddaughter, Melissa Plyley, in 1994.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 15, at Barnes Funeral Home-New Paris Chapel, with the Rev. Don Boyer officiating. Burial was in Springlawn Cemetery, New Paris.

Lottie Brubaker
Lottie Brubaker, 90, of Quaker Trace Road, West Alexandria, died Monday, Jan. 11, at her home.
Born Sept. 24, 1908, in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of George and Meda (Gephart) Bowser.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira, in 1987; three bothers, Charlie Bowser, Harley Bowser and Raymond Bowser; two sisters, Orpha Bowser and Edna Shell; and a great-great-grandchild, Denton Lee Brubaker.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Yvonne Brubaker of West Alexandria; a daughter and son-in-law, Wilma Jean and Richard Garber of Eaton; a sister, Treva Aukerman of Brookville; a foster daughter, Monetta Crow of Texas; nine grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A prayer service was held at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, on Saturday, Jan. 16, followed by funeral services at the Upper Twin Old German Baptist Church, West Alexandria, officiated by the Upper Twin Ministers. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis.

Terry L. Ritchie
Terry L. Ritchie, 51, of 2027 Woodbriar Loop North, Lakeland, Fla., died Thursday, Jan. 14, at her home.
She was born Oct. 17, 1947, in Camden. She moved to Florida from Jackson, Ky., in 1982, and was a nurse for the Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She worked as a liaison with diabetics, was a Baptist by faith, and was active in several bowling leagues.
Survivors include her husband, John P. Ritchie; her father, Thomas Dane of Camden; a daughter, Heather A. Ferrer of Lakeland, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Terrie L. Pereze of Las Vegas, Nev.; stepsons, John P. Ritchie Jr. of Jackson, Ky., Brent J. Ritchie of Winchester, Ky., and Thomas L. Ritchie of Aurora, Ohio.
Also surviving are two sisters, Sandra Rose of Camden and Brenda Schroder of Phoenix, Ariz.; four brothers, Phillip, Mark, Scott and Brent Dane, all of Eaton; six grandchildren; a half sister, Roselee Caudlee; and a half brother, John Dane.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 16, at her home in Lakeland. Choice Cremation and Funeral Care, Lakeland, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.

Ruby L. Arnold
Ruby L. Arnold, 87, of Eaton-Lewisburg Road, Lewisburg, died Thursday, Jan. 14, at the home of her niece.
Born Feb. 15, 1911, in Lexington, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Roland Henry and Annie Belle (Baker) Arnold. She had lived in Preble County since 1993.
Survivors include nieces, Phyllis M. Edwards of Lewisburg, Connie Arnold and Peggy Brown, both of Kentucky; nephews, Kenneth Early of Covington, Ky., and Douglas Early of Kentucky; several other nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 16, at Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel, with the Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Burial was in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria.

Ivan D. Lawson
Ivan Delano Lawson, 60, of Camden, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
Born July 15, 1938, in Big Woods, Ky., he was the son of Jesse and Verona Lawson. He graduated from Middletown High School in 1956 and from Miami University in 1960. He worked at AK Steel Corporation in Middletown for 29 1/2 years.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis (Cox) Lawson, whom he married Aug. 27, 1960, in Middletown; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Teresa Lawson; a daughter and son-in-law, Marci and John Skrzypczak; three grandchildren, Alexandra Lawson, Luke Lawson Skrzypczak and Emily Lawson Skrzypczak; six brothers and sisters, Kathleen (Ray) Jones, Virgie Price and Elvin (Rosemary) Lawson, all of Middletown, Bernice Stacy of Bellevue, Wash., Owen Lawson of Owensboro, Ky., and Delmond (Toni) Lawson of Fort White, Fla.
Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 16, at Camden United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jackie Marshall officiating. Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden. R.C. Nein & Sons-Thompson Funeral Home, Camden, was in charge of arrangements.
