Rayburn H. Webb
Rayburn H. Webb, 79, of Camden, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
Born Aug. 2, 1919, in Estill County, Ky., he was the son of Jesse and Bertha (Hendricks) Webb. He was employed for 20 years as a supervisor in trucking and moving at Miami University. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a World War II Purple Heart recipient.
Survivors include his wife, Carol (Anderson) Webb, whom he married Aug. 2, 1965, in Oxford; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Joe Antrim of Liberty, Ind., Martha and Darrell Newkirk of Eaton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Laurie Webb of Orlando, Fla., Steven and Ramona Webb of Tampa, Fla., Michael and Lila Webb of Hamilton; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd Webb of Fruitland Park, Fla.; two sisters, Hallie Smith of Camden and Mable Crew of Trussville, Ala.; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Webb; a grandson, Michael Maddock; and two brothers, Mason and Earl Webb.
A private graveside service was held at the convenience of the family. R.C. Nein & Sons-Thompson Funeral Home, Camden, was in charge of arrangements.
Earl P. Stanley
Earl P. "Jack" Stanley, 71, of Oxford, died Saturday, Jan. 2, at his home.
Born May 4, 1927, in Bainbridge, Ohio, he was the son of Ernest and Ina Jane (Stethem) Stanley. He was employed by the National Lead Company for 36 years, retiring in 1988, and was a Somers Township trustee for 20 years. Mr. Stanley was a founding member of the Camden VFW, a member of the American Legion in Camden, was a Mason and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Prudy (Back) Stanley, whom he married March 10, 1951, in Dayton; two daughters and son-in-law, Debra Stanley, Kathleen and Mark Crispin, all of Oxford; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ernest and Sheila Stanley of Rogers, Ark., Earl L. and Debra Stanley of Somerville.
Also surviving are 10 granddaughters, Melissa, Stacey, Heather, Elizabeth, Clara, Amanda, Kathy, Kelly, Dawn and Tiffany; one grandson, Eric; four great-grandchildren, Alexa, Meghan, Misty Dawn and Chad; and one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Lucille Stanley of Waverly, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Floyd and Lloyd.
Funeral services were Thursday, Jan. 7, at Smith & Ogle Funeral Home, Oxford, with Evangelist Gary Super officiating. Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
James L. Ballard
James L. Ballard, 61, of Trotwood, died unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 4.
Born Nov. 2, 1937, in Miamisburg, he was the son of Clifford and Mary (Puckett) Ballard. He had served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1963, and worked as a toolmaker at Jackson Tool Enterprise in Clayton.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Louise (Call) Ballard, whom he married July 19, 1958; a son, James E. Ballard of New Carlisle; a daughter, Patricia Robin Holly of Michigan; grandchildren, Ashley Marie Ballard, Michael Fox, Brandy Marie Holly and James William Holly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Verna Mae Fagan.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 8, at Barnes Funeral Home-Preble Memory Gardens Chapel, West Alexandria, with Pastor Mark Fent officiating. Burial was in Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria.
Garrett Davis
Garrett "Johnny" Davis, 78, of Burbank Avenue, Middletown, formerly of Lewisburg, died Thursday, Jan. 7, at his home after a sudden illness.
Born Oct. 29, 1920, in Menifee County, Ky., he was the son of John and Esta (Trimble) Davis.
He retired in 1977 as a truck driver for Consolidated Freight of Dayton. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Fraley) Davis, in 1978; a brother, Warren Davis; and a sister, Georgia Ferguson, in 1998.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Davis and John Davis, both of Lewisburg; a brother, Garner Davis of Florida; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were Monday, Jan. 11, at Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg, with the Rev. David Justis officiating. Barnes Funeral Home-Lewisburg Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
A. Keith Vance
A. Keith Vance, 65, of Gratis, died Thursday, Jan. 7, at Middletown Regional Hospital in Middletown.
Born July 29, 1933, in Eaton, he was the son of the late Donald and Juanita (Smith) Vance, and had lived in Preble County most of his life. He retired in 1989 after 36 years in operations and maintenance for DESC, Dayton.
Survivors include his wife, Helen L. (Steele) Vance, whom he married in December 1952; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael K. and Linda Vance of Trenton; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda K. and Marty Zavakos of Huber Heights; three grandchildren; a brother, Bill Vance of Gratis; a sister, Karen Paxson of Belle Center, Ohio; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 11, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, with the Rev. Robert Shannon officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis.
Margaret Jellison
Margaret Jellison, 94, formerly of Ohio 503 North, West Alexandria, died Friday, Jan. 8, at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton.
Born March 16, 1904, in Brookville, she was the daughter of John and Nellie Berst. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Jellison was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, and a longtime member of Harvest Chapter #564, Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Herbert Jellison, in 1992; her parents; and a sister, Helen Berst.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Joyce Jellison of Indianapolis, Ind., James and Shirley Jellison of West Alexandria; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Dan Sims of Tucson, Ariz.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Harriet Peters of Kettering.
Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 11, at Salem Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Daniel Snider officiating. Burial was in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria. Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, was in charge of arrangements.

Bonnie Larrison
Bonnie Larrison, 66, of Morning Sun, died Friday, Jan. 8, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
Born Oct. 1, 1932, in Miamisburg, she was the daughter of Oliver Kincer and Mary Jones. She was a member of Fairhaven United Methodist Church, Fairhaven United Methodist Women, Lakengren Bridge Club and Senior Citizens of Oxford.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene Larrison, whom she married July 6, 1951, in Fairhaven; one daughter, Karen Larrison of Hamilton; three sons, Kevin (Christy) Larrison of Cincinnati, Greg Larrison of Mount Healthy and John (Jackie) Larrison of DeKalb, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Jesse, Amanda, Cassidy, Kelly, Corey, Casey, Heather and Carl.
Also surviving are two brothers, Marion (Vivian) Kincer of Camden and Clifford (Karen) Jones of Miamisburg; three sisters, Wanda (Gary) Moore of Springboro, Kay ( Ken) Johnson of Eau Claire, Wis., and Treva (Randall) Whitlock of West Chester, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and ther relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Harry Jones; and one brother, Monroe Kincer.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at R.C. Nein & Sons-Thompson Funeral Home, 249 N. Main St., Camden, with the Rev. George Pettit officiating. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton.
Wilbur A. Hake
Wilbur A. Hake, 91, of Vancrest Health Care Center, 1320 Eaton-Gettysburg Road, Eaton, died Saturday morning, Jan. 9, at Grandview Hospital in Dayton after an extended illness.
Born June 16, 1907, in Hamilton, he was the son of William C. and Clara (Ashbrook) Hake. He was a member of the Church of the Visitation in Eaton.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert "Buddy" Hake, in 1925, Fred W. Hake, in 1978, and Andrew Hake, in 1995; and two sisters, Florence J. Hake, in 1991, and Henrietta Koger, in 1992.
Funeral Mass was Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Visitation Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton. Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Mary E. Jordan
Mary E. "Betty" Jordan, 82, formerly of Richmond-Palestine Road and Sauer Drive, New Paris, died Sunday evening, Jan. 10, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind., after an extended illness.
Born Oct. 29, 1916, in Preble County, she was the daughter of George C. and Bernice (Horner) Wolf. She had been a resident of Darke County most of her life and was a legal secretary for attorneys in Richmond. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of New Paris, and Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in Preble County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark J. Jordan Sr., in 1992; a son, Mark J. "Jerry" Jordan Jr., in 1996; and two brothers, Samuel Wolf and John S. Wolf.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Gerry Prokupek of Worthington, Ohio; two sisters, Dorothy Welsh of Dayton and Margaret Greene of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandsons, Mark J. Jordan III and Kane A. Jordan; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Barnes Funeral Home-New Paris Chapel, 109 W. Main St., with the Rev. Michael Evans officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springlawn Cemetery, New Paris.

Edith H. Stockdale
Edith H. Stockdale, 91, of New Lebanon, formerly of Zanesville, died Saturday, Jan. 9, at Heartland of Eaton Nursing Center in Eaton.
Born Aug. 8, 1907, in Guernsey County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late A.W. and Dora (Daugherty) Rogers. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Crooksville, Ohio.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Jack Evans of New Lebanon; grandchildren, Jaclyn McPherson of Lewisburg, Steven Evans of New Lebanon, Douglas Evans of Brookville, Glenn Stockdale and Gwen Stockdale, both of Louisiana; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Edward Stockdale; a son, George Stockdale; and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family, followed by burial in Crooksville Cemetery, Crooksville, Ohio. Barnes Funeral Home-Preble Memory Gardens Chapel, West Alexandria, is in charge of arrangements.
Julianne A. Roberts
Julianne Anson Roberts, 49, of Eaton, died Monday, Jan. 11, at her home.
Born Nov. 10, 1949, in Dayton, she had lived in Preble County most of her life. She was a 1968 graduate of Eaton High School, and a U.S. Army veteran. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Eaton.
Survivors include her husband, Fredrick Richard Roberts; her parents, Merle E. and Mary Jane (Welsh) Anson of Eaton; two sisters, Rebecca Mann of Eaton and Amy Ryan of Columbus; one brother, Thomas W. Anson of Seattle, Wash.; and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, 226 W. Main St., Eaton, with the Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.
