June D. Robinson
June D. Robinson, 79, of New Paris, died Saturday, May 15 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind. after a short illness.
Born June 7, 1919 in Franklin County, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Martha (Reynolds) Meyer. Formerly of Henry County, Ind., she has lived in Preble County since 1961.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Odette Robinson; a daughter, Elaine K. Robinson of New Paris; a brother, Warren Meyer of Brookville, Ind., nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a son, M. Dale Robinson in 1974; two sisters, Ethel Dieckmann and Edna Mills; two brothers, Lowell "Jack" Meyer and Paul "Pete" Meyer.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 19, at 11 a.m. (Ohio Time) at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., New Paris with the Rev. J. Mark Hinshaw officiating. Burial will be in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. The family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Preble County Unit, P.O. Box 203, Eaton, Ohio 45320.

Maxie C. Cook
Maxie C. Cook, 81, Woodside Drive, West Alexandria, died Monday morning, May 17, at her residence after an extended illness.
Born Aug. 9, 1917 in Dongola (Letcher County), Ky., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lora (Hale) Gant.
She was a member of the Eaton Baptist Temple since 1963. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer cook in 1988; stepfather, Lloyd Miller; brother, Maynard Gant; half brother, Archie Miller; granddaughter, Karen Cope, Great-grandson, Bernard Eugene Tyree III.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Lena Cook of Dayton, Denver Cook of West Milton, Kendall and Janet Cook and Wayne and Linda Cook, all of Eaton; seven daughters and sons-in-law, Merita and William Cope of Richmond, Ky., Emily and Dan Hartzell of Lancaster, Calif., Delora Sue and Mike Sampson of Aptos, Calif., Judy C. Cook and friend Carl Wysong and Julia K. and Steve DeHart all of West Alexandria, Teresa and Gary Garwood and Kathy and Ed Johnson, all of Eaton.
Also five half brothers, Orville Miller, John Miller and Donald Miller all of West Virginia, James Miller of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Edison Miller of Florida; 28 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, nephews nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 20,at 10:30 a.m. at Eaton Baptist Temple, 416 E. Decatur St., Eaton, with the Rev. Lowell Spencer officiating. Burial will be in the Sugar Grove Cemetery at West Alexandria. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Barnes Funeral Home, 220 E. MaIn St., Eaton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton Baptist Temple or the Gideon's International.

Sarah L. McKinney
Sarah L. McKinney, 80, of Somerville, died Thursday, April 29, at Willow Knoll Nursing Center.
Born May 21, 1918, in Danville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mathie Hillard. She had resided in the Somerville community for 53 years, and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Clifford L. McKinney; a daughter, Norma Lee George of Oxford; two sons and daughters-in-law, the Rev. John Nolanand Cathy McKinney of Lima, James Gary and Judy McKinney of Middletown; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Luther Hillard of Monroe and Cecil Hillard of Tampa, Fla.; and a sister, Marie McWhorter of Danville, Ky.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ben, James, Chester and Ted Hillard; and four sisters, Polly King, Lilly Mae Black, Christine Casey and Irene King.
Funeral services were Monday, May 3, at Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home, Middletown, with the Rev. Howard Sears officiating. Burial was in Woodside Cemetery.

Samuel E. Kesling
Samuel E. Kesling, 80, of Eaton, died Wednesday, April 28, at Grandview Hospital in Dayton.
Born May 8, 1918, in Eaton, he was the son of the late Samuel and Myrtle (Goldsmith) Kesling, and had lived in Preble County most of his life. He was a 1937 graduate of Eaton High School. He retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
Mr. Kesling attended Grace Lutheran Church and was a member of Bolivar Lodge #82, F&AM of Eaton; Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton; Odd Fellows Lodge #30 of Eaton.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth (Mann) Kesling; a sister, Ruth Renner; and a granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie M. (Byrne) Kesling; a daughter, Myrna Humphreys of St. Paris; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a stepdaughter, Graceann E. Rix of Dayton; a stepson Cecil R. Allbright of Dayton; six step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 1, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, with the Rev. Brian Dillahunt officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton. Masonic services were conducted Friday evening at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or to the Eaton Emergency Squad.

Phyllis L. Quinn
Phyllis L. Quinn, 76, of East 2nd St., West Alexandria, died Tuesday, April 27, at Hospice of Dayton.
Born March 8, 1923, in West Alexandria, she was the daughter of Jacob and Carrie (Waggoner) Suggs. She was a 1941 graduate of West Alexandria High School. She had retired from Rike's (Lazarus) department store after 25 years.
Mrs. Quinn was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Women of the Church, Dorcas Circle and a lifetime member of James E. Ryan Post #322 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 1997; and her parents.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Robert Carico of Eaton; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Debbie Quinn of West Alexandria; three grandchildren, James Lacey Quinn of Texas, Robert Arlo Quinn of West Alexandria and Kathryn Kaylene Carico of Eaton; a great-grandson; and two brothers, Ray Suggs and Robert "Chink" Suggs, both of West Alexandria.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 1, at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, with the Rev. Daniel Snider officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.

Bill E. Brown
Bill Eugene Brown, 53, of Camden, died Tuesday, April 27, at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Ind.
Born March 31, 1946, in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the Rev. Earl and Hazel (Riddle) Brown. He was educated in the New Miami schools. Mr. Brown worked for Diebold Safe Company for 23 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Camden Lodge #159, F&AM; Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton; and was a U.S. Navy peacetime veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Connie (Pettus) Brown, whom he married April 19, 1986, in Camden; five children, Emory Brown, Tim (Ann) Brown, William Brown and Joshua Brown, all of Camden, and Cristie Brown of Florida; two grandchildren, Heather and Megan Brown; two sisters, Dorothy (Quentin) Fields of Fairfield and Gail (Coleman) Williams of Trenton; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, William Robert, Earl Jr. and James E. Brown.
Funeral services were Friday, April 30, at Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Hamilton, with the Rev. Curtis Davidson officiating. Masonic services and Scottish Rite Ring Services were conducted Friday during visitation at the funeral home. Burial was in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Suetta P. Mullendore
Suetta P. Mullendore, 76, of South Cherry Street, Eaton, died Sunday, May 2, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton.
Born Aug. 12, 1922, in Butler County, she was the daughter of Arthur and Blanche (Wilson) McIntosh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Mullendore, in 1994; a sister, Thelma Slusser; three brothers, John, Raymond and Harry McIntosh; and an infant sister.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Debbie Mullendore of Eaton; a daughter, Judy Henson of Eaton; a grandson, Michael Henson of Eaton; a brother, James William McIntosh of Germantown; a sisters, Dorothy Ettel of Germantown.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Gratis.

Helen G. Bishop
Helen G. Bishop, 89, of Gilmore Avenue, Eaton, died Sunday, May 2, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind.
Born March 12, 1910, in Eaton, she was the daughter of the late Clarence L. and Pauline (Cohee) Meeks. She was a 1928 graduate of Eaton High School and attended Miami Jacobs Business College.
She served as matron of the Preble County Home for five years, and retired as a caseworker for the Preble County Department of Human Services. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson H. Bishop, in 1960; and a sister, Gladys Morris, in 1949.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald L. and Judy Bishop of Eaton; daughters and sons-in-law, Norma Jean and Norman Kemp, Joyce E. and Leon Moore, all of Eaton; a brother and sister-in-law, Karl and Marguerite Meeks of Eaton; a sister, Doris F. Gephart of Eaton; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, at New Hope United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey W. Blair officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church. Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton Emergency Squad, 324 N. Maple St., Eaton, Ohio 45320; or to New Hope United Methodist Church, 3330 Upshur-Northern Road, Eaton, Ohio 45320.

Alan R. Myers
Alan Ray Myers, 19, died Monday, May 3, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton as a result of an automobile accident.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Faith R. "Tyke" and David Crabtree; paternal grandparent, E. Sarver of Eaton; maternal grandparents, Helyn Hickman and Joe Hocker of Florida; a sister, Heather R. Hickman of Eaton; half sisters, Nicki and Melonie Sarver of Eaton; stepsister, Jenifer (Crabtree) Williams of Texas; half brother, Michael Sarver of Eaton; uncles, Michael (Kathy) Patton of California; Spike (Judy) Hickman of North Carolina; nephew, J.D. Willeford of Eaton; and other family members.
He was preceded in death by Alan Ray Sarver, in 1979; and Carl W. "Bud" Hickman, in 1992.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 7, at Baker-Hazel Funeral Home, 5555 Philadelphia Drive at North Main Street, Dayton. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at the funeral home.

Wilma R. Wheeler
Wilma R. Wheeler, 86, of 260 N. Main St., Eldorado, and most currently a resident of the Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville, died Monday evening, May 3, following a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 4, 1912, near Eldorado, she was the daughter of Charles and Mae (Allread) Richards. She was a 1930 graduate of Monroe High School, West Manchester, and a member of Eldorado United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Wheeler, whom she married July 4, 1936; two sons, James P. Wheeler of Laurelville, Ohio, and Steven J. Wheeler of Eldorado; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Richards; and three sisters, Gladys Long, Lois Schlosser and Mildred Bush.
In the interest that others may learn from her life and her death, she donated her body to the Ohio State University Medical Center. Bussard-Barnes-Vaniman Funeral Home, Eldorado, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the North Central Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 156, West Manchester, Ohio 45382; or to the Eldorado Fire Department, P.O. Box 10, Eldorado, Ohio 45321.
