Sandra K. Fourman
Sandra K. Fourman, 52, of New Lebanon, died unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 16.
She was born Nov. 11, 1946, in Paintsville, Ky. She retired from Standard Abrasives, Inc. after 16 years of service and worked part-time at Quilt-N-Things, both in Brookville. She was a member of the Silver Thimbles Guild in Brookville and the West Alexandria Senior Citizens Club.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mollie M. Selvage, on Sept. 22, 1993; an uncle, Harry Selvage; and an aunt, Bessie Fairchild.
Survivors include an aunt, Maxie "Marie" Webb of West Alexandria; an uncle, Robert L. Selvage of New Lebanon; and a host of cousins.
Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 20, at Barnes Funeral Home-Preble Memory Gardens Chapel, West Alexandria, with Pastor Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Entombment was in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Brookville Rescue Squad, or to the Heart Fund.

Alice E. Rager
Alice E. Rager, 81, formerly of Eaton, died Friday morning, Aug. 20, at the Butler County Care Facility in Hamilton. She had suffered a stroke on July 17.
Born June 3, 1918, in Middletown, she was the daughter of John E. and Laverna D. (Sommers) Rager. She enjoyed the last 5 1/2 years at the Butler County Care Facility, where she made many friends.
Prior to moving to Middletown in 1989, she, along with her brother and family, were dairy farmers on Ozias Road in Eaton. She had been active in the Eaton Senior Citizens.
Survivors include two brothers, Archie Rager and wife Grace of Hamilton, John Rager and wife Margorie of Gratis; two sisters, Nellie Hosier of Wilmington, Florence Lanier and husband Milton of Zolfo Springs, Fla.; sister-in-law, Doris Jean Rager of Franklin; numerous nieces and nephews; and a devoted niece, Janet Streit, with whom she spent many happy hours.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ethel Ashmore and Mary Bennett; and two brothers, Alfred and Harold Rager.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Aug. 24, at Barnes Funeral Home-Preble Memory Gardens Chapel, West Alexandria, with Pastor Jack Lawson officiating. Entombment was in Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Butler County Care Facility, 1800 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011.

Ruth M. Lowman
Ruth Marie Lowman, 76, of Eaton, died Friday, Aug. 20, at her home.
Born May 11, 1923, near Lewisburg (Preble County), she was the daughter of the late John Walter and Edna Marie (Mann) Buckley. She was a member of the Eaton Church of the Visitation, St. Ann's Sodality, a life member of the DESA Auxiliary and a life member of MASA.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Joseph L. Lowman; sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce G. and Dawn E. Lowman of Huber Heights, John R. and Carolyn M. Lowman, James R. and Rebecca A. Lowman, all of Eaton, Michael J. and Kimberley A. Lowman of Vandalia.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Steven T. and Sharon T. Lowman, John W. (Michelle) Lowman, Timothy A. Lowman, Lori M. Lowman, Christina Ann Marie (Brian) Baker, Theresa A. (Darrin) Kisling, James W. Lowman, Michele L. (Phillip) Frech, Amy J. (Aaron) Rike, Natasha L. (David) Baker, Michael J. Lowman II and Nathan C. Lowman.
Other survivors are two step-grandchildren, Jeff L. and Christina R. Fisher; eight great-grandchildren, Dustin Lowman, Justin and Ashlee Baker, Scottie Williams, Victoria Lowman, Caleb A. Kisling, Austin and Shelby Frech; two step-great-grandchildren, Chelsea Frech and Jessica Kisling.
Funeral Mass was Tuesday, Aug. 24, at the Eaton Church of the Visitation, with the Rev. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. A Rosary service was conducted Monday evening following visitation at Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Middletown; to the American Cancer Society-Preble County Unit; or to the Eaton Emergency Squad.

Alma M. Cunningham
Alma M. Cunningham, 97, of Collinsville, died Saturday, Aug. 21, at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford. She had made her home with her daughter and son-in-law for the last 10 years.
Born Aug. 13, 1902, on a farm east of Seven Mile, she was the daughter of the late Chris and Cora (Phares) Stock. She attended Nine Mile Schools, Seven Mile School and later graduated from Hamilton High School. She was employed by the Talawanda School District as a cafeteria worker at Collinsville Elementary School until her retirement in 1968.
Mrs. Cunningham was a member of Collinsville Presbyterian Church, Collinsville Grange, Watama Club, Pythian Sisters of Seven Mile and the Modern Housewives Club.
She married Homer Cunningham on March 29, 1923, in Hamilton, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1971.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Gorman; and son-in-law, Tom Gorman.
Survivors include a daughter, Treva (Emerson) Fall of Collinsville; a sister, Florence Wintersteen of Seven Mile; two grandchildren, Jerry (Jody) Fall and Carla (Mike) Buell of Hamilton; six great-grandchildren, Jerry and Greg Fall, Kathy Bartos, Michelle Fall, Amber and Joey Buell; five great-great-grandchildren, Taylor, Madison, Morgan, Kalli and Gabriella.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at R.C. Nein & Sons-Thompson Funeral Home, Camden, with the Rev. Bob Clark officiating. Burial will be in Collinsville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Collinsville Presbyterian Church, 509 Hamilton-Eaton Road, P.O. Box 59, Collinsville, Ohio 45004-0059; or to the Seven Mile Life Squad, 201 High St., Seven Mile, Ohio 45062.

Martha A. Dye
Martha A. Dye, 69, of Eaton, died Sunday, Aug. 22, at the family's summer home in Bay View, Mich.
Born March 29, 1930, in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Oliver J. and Mary Althea (Kintz) Ritzert. She was a 1948 graduate of Julienne High School in Dayton, and a 1972 graduate of Miami University in Oxford with a bachelor's degree in education.
Mrs. Dye was a member of Visitation Catholic Church, Eaton; a founding member of the Eaton Area Arts Council; a principal founder of the Preble County Historical Society; a member of the Richmond Heritage Club; and a longtime member of the Eaton Current Events Club.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, John V. Dye Jr.; a son, John Martin Dye of San Rafael, Calif.; daughters, Mary Dye of Oak Park, Ill., and Susanne Dye Rose of Brighton, Mich.; three grandchildren; sisters, Rita Griffin of Englewood and Mary Hope Miller of Eaton; a brother, John Ritzert of Kettering; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Ritzert.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at Visitation Catholic Church, Eaton, with Father J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, 226 W. Main St., Eaton, with a Rosary service recited at 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Preble County Historical Society.

Bonnie S. Wright
Bonnie S. Wright, 6, of 10893 Ohio 177, College Corner, Ohio, died Friday, Aug. 13, at her home after a lengthy illness.
Born July 9, 1993, in Oxford, she was the daughter of John S. and Melissa J. (Richard) Wright. She attended Morning Sun Presbyterian Church in Morning Sun.
Survivors include her parents; a sister, Claire E. Wright, at home; a brother, Seth O. Wright, at home; maternal grandparents, Joe Richard of Trenton and Karen Taylor of Hamilton; and paternal grandparents, Stanley and Helen Wright of College Corner, Ohio.
Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 16, at Morning Sun Presbyterian Church, followed by burial in Beechwood Cemetery, Morning Sun. Showalter-Blackwell-Long Funeral Home, College Corner, was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital Medical Center for Brain Tumor Research Fund, 3333 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45229.

Robert Stoner
Robert Stoner, 60, of Quaker Trace Road, West Alexandria, died Sunday, Aug. 22, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
Born Jan. 18, 1939, in Dayton, he was the son of Walter and Ethel Marie (Schindler) Stoner. He was retired, and had worked as a machine operator for Dayton Walther Co. Mr. Stoner was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Judith (Keaton) Stoner; three sons, Robert Stoner of New Paris, David Stoner of Eaton and Donald Stoner of Milford; a daughter, Judith Pickard of Middletown; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; a brother, Walter Stoner of Richmond, Ind.; and a sister, Norma Koeller of Eaton.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky, in 1991; a grandson, Joseph, in 1992; and a sister, Martha Allison.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, with the Rev. Alvin Cook officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Yvonne C. Copeland
Yvonne C. Copeland, 52, of 9328 Garden St., Jacksonville, Fla., died Sunday, Aug. 8, at her home.
She was born April 5, 1947, in Hamilton.
Survivors include her husband, Teddy R. Copeland, whom she married in 1989 in Jacksonville, Fla.; her parents, Robert C. and Mary Kathryn (Wetja) Crouse of Hamilton; a sister, Diane (Al) Morris of Monroe; two aunts, Betty Lou Crouse of Eaton and Evelyn (Roger) George of Richmond, Ind.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Crouse, and a sister, Debra Crouse, both in 1996; grandparents, Harry and Marjorie Wetja, Porter and Hazel Crouse; and an uncle, Darrell James Crouse.
A private memorial graveside service will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, with the Rev. Dennis Miller officiating. Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, Hamilton, is in charge of arrangements.

Pearl Bowman
Pearl Bowman, 80, of West Elkton, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Woodland Country Manor near Somerville.
Born June 14, 1919, in Fairhaven, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Ruby Baker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milburn "Dutch" Bowman, whom she married on Oct. 23, 1937, in Richmond, Ind.; one daughter, Margaret Ann Bowman; three brothers, David, Frank and Elmer Baker; and one sister, Marie Wert.
Survivors include her children, Joyce (Bruce) Smith of Cincinnati, Jo An (Charles) Howard of West Elkton, Vivian (Nick) Bowling of Florida, Bessie (Donald) Carroll of Camden, Ruby (Joe) Sorrell of Texas, Glen (Margaret) Bowman of Texas and Elmer (Mary) Bowman of Middletown; one sister, Iva Mae (Kenny) Howser of South Bend, Ind.; 23 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, Aug. 28, at R.C. Nein & Sons-Thompson Funeral Home, Camden, followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis.

Mary R. Brower
Mary Rebecca Brower, 93, formerly of Eaton and more recently a resident of Villas of BrookHaven, Brookville, died Saturday evening, Aug. 28, at Bethany Lutheran Village in Dayton.
Born Feb. 12, 1906, in Gratis Township (Preble County), she was the daughter of the late William Barklow and Agnes Jane (Eikenberry) Francis, the descendant of two pioneer Preble County families. She was a 1924 graduate of Camden High School, and attended Miami University and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Mrs. Brower had been a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of American Colonists and the First Presbyterian Church of Eaton.
Her husband of 54 years, Frederick "Fred" Lowe Brower, died in 1982. During their marriage, they resided in Dayton, Clayton and Eaton.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Frederick F. and Mary Jane Brower of Oxford, Daniel C. and Phyllis Brower of Dayton, William R. and Rosetta Brower of Centerville, Ohio; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Evangeline Sohngen of Hamilton; a brother, Richard Eikenberry Francis of Cincinnati; and two nieces.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the First Presbyterian Church, 123 W. Decatur St., Eaton, with the Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton. Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 123 W. Decatur St., Eaton, Ohio 45320.
