Ruby M. Russelo
Ruby M. Russelo, 90, of 1614 E. Main St., Eaton, died Tuesday, March 18, 1997, at Grandview Hospital in Dayton.
Born Oct. 16, 1906, in West Elkton, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Thomas. She had been a bookkeeper at Harold's Auto Parts Store in Eaton, which she had owned with her husband. In 1960, the couple moved to Tarpon Springs, Fla., where they owned and operated Sun Marina. She returned to Eaton in March 1995.
Mrs. Russelo was a former member of the Eaton Business and Professional Women's Club and Pythian Sisters in Eaton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tarpon Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Russelo, on July 10, 1977; a son, Gordon Russelo; and a brother, Roy Thomas.
Survivors include a son, Gene Russelo of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; a daughter, Betty Moore of Eaton; seven granddaughters; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Edith Wates of Somerville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were Saturday, March 22, at Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton. Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, was in charge of arrangements.
John E. Showalter
John E. Showalter, 49, of Dayton, died Tuesday, March 18, 1997.
He was born Dec. 16, 1947, in Richmond, Ind.
Survivors include his mother, Evelyn (Kasten) Showalter of Eaton; his wife, Janice (Derringer) Showalter of Florida; one daughter, Chandra Showalter of Greenville, Tenn.; one brother, Eric Showalter of Eaton; one sister, Debra Johns of Westerville, Ohio; and a half sister, Judy Palomar of Connersville, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Showalter; a daughter, Michele; and a sister, Penelope.
Memorial services were Friday, March 21, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, with the Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating.
Joseph F. Dush
Joseph F. Dush, 81, of Willard, Ohio, died Sunday, March 16, 1997, of a heart attack while visiting his daughter in Florida.
Born Aug. 28, 1915, in Licking County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Frank and Ada Dush. He was a 1939 graduate of the Ohio State College of Law, and had been active in the practice of law in Willard since 1947. He was a former city solicitor in Willard and at times, served as city solicitor for Plymouth, Greenwich and Monroeville. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Willard.
Survivors include three children, Carole Schloemer of Eaton, Connie Hollinger of New Port Richey, Fla., and Tom Shone of Glasgow, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Dush of Wooster; and two sisters, Mary Cox of Columbus and Martha Millican of Alexandria, Ind.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the First Presbyterian Church, Willard, with the Rev. S. Shane Nanney in charge. Secor Funeral Home, Willard, was in charge of arrangements.

Lauretta Hoskins
Lauretta Hoskins, 94, formerly of Sidney and Eaton, and more recently a resident of the Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney, died Thursday, March 20, 1997.
Born July 21, 1902, in Lena, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Bessie (Garver) Davis. She had been employed as a secretary for Hoskins Automotive of Eaton. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #182, West Alexandria; a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Eaton and previously the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church of Piqua.
She married Frederic Hoskins on Oct. 16, 1915, in Waukegan, Ill., and he preceded her in death on April 1, 1994. A daughter, Louise Schneider, and a brother are also deceased.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Marcia Hoskins of Eaton; daughters and son-in-law, Anne and Alan Kaiser of Piqua, Joyce Cowan of Cottonwood, Calif., and Sue Kaduk of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a son-in-law, Rudy Schneider of Piqua; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday, March 23, at Jamieson and Yannucci Funeral Home, Piqua, with the Rev. Fred Lacuesta officiating. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery there.

Sally L. Ashcraft
Sally Louise (Hartman) Ashcraft, 67, of 634 Humphrey, Birmingham, Mich., formerly of Somerville, died Thursday, March 20, 1997.
Born Sept. 3, 1929, in Somerville, she was the daughter of George and Elnora (Powell) Hartman. She was married to Emmanuel Ashcraft on Nov. 6, 1946, in Hamilton, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Terry Ashcraft of Birmingham, Mich.; a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Glenn Groves of Birmingham, Mich.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Delores Hartman, James and Nadine Hartman, all of Somerville; a sister and brother-in-law, Dolly and John Sandlin.
Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family at R.C. Nein and Sons Funeral Home, Camden.
Ishamel D. Hall
Ishamel Darrell Hall, 57, of East Cherry Street, New Paris, died Thursday, March 20, 1997, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.
He was born April 15, 1939, in Ligon, Ky. He had been employed at Wayne Works in Richmond, Ind. Mr. Hall was a member of Clarence Teaford Post #360 American Legion of New Paris, Amvets #726 of Eldorado and the Masonic Lodge of New Paris.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Hall and Kenneth Hall.
Survivors include his mother, Judy K. (Hall) Wood of New Paris; father and stepmother, Delmer and Mattie Frances Hall of Nicholasville, Ky.; two sons, James D. Hall of New Paris and Joseph E. Hall of Richmond, Ind.; a brother, Denver R. Hall of Lexington, Ky.; two half brothers, Rayburn Hall and Has Hall, both of Nicholasville, Ky.; a half sister, Lavern, and stepsister, Sandy, both of Nicholasville, Ky.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 22, at Barnes Funeral Home-New Paris Chapel, with the Rev. Don Boyer officiating. Burial was in Willow Grove Cemetery, Fountain City, Ind.
Virginia L. Lyons
Virginia L. Lyons, 84, of Richmond, Ind., formerly of Preble County, died Friday, March 21, 1997, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind.
Born July 4, 1912, in Stone, Ky., she was the daughter of Robert and DeLora (Keith) Rader. She attended the Full Gospel Temple in Eaton.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C. and Barbara Brush of Eldorado, Fred and Donna Kay Brush of Richmond, Ind.; a brother, Broadus Rader of Pearcy, Ark.; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Lyons, in 1979; a son, Dallas Brush; grandchildren, Shelia, Michael, Johnny and Thomas Brush; great-grandchild, Alicia Brooks; sisters, Daisy Sandlin and Mattie Payne; and brothers, Bascome, Roscoe, Everett, William and C. Elmer Rader.
Funeral services were Tuesday, March 25, at Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel, with the Rev. Raymond Rothwell officiating. Burial was in Wares Chapel Cemetery, West Manchester.
Beulah A. Fritz
Beulah A. Fritz, 90, of Dayton, died Sunday, March 23, 1997, at Franciscan Medical Center in Dayton.
Born Dec. 10, 1906, in Cincinnati, she was the daughter of Eldon Earl and Pearl (Keeran) Wingate. She was a graduate of Otterbein College, and was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Oakwood. She had been a resident of Bethany Lutheran Village since 1984.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Dwight J. Fritz, in 1982.
Survivors include a son, Douglas J. Fritz of San Francisco, Calif.; a sister and brother-in-law, Martha Ellen and Dr. George Biggs of Dublin, Ohio; and two nephews, Joseph Eldon Biggs of Foster City, Calif., and George Earl Biggs of Grove City, Ohio.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 155 E. Thurston Blvd., Oakwood, with Pastors Robert A. Willauer and Robert Browning officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg. The family will receive friends from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Barnes Funeral Home-Lewisburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Michael D. Kelly
Michael D. Kelly, 55, of 6700 W. Duneview, Ludington, Mich., formerly of West Alexandria, died Sunday, March 23, 1997, at his home after a brief illness.
Born Nov. 11, 1941, in Middletown, he was the son of Mark and Isabel (Brewer) Kelly. He graduated from Lanier High School and attended the University of Dayton. Mr. Kelly was a chemist for EG&G Mound Laboratories of Miamisburg, retiring in August 1992 and moving to Ludington in 1993.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Camden, the Mason County Fin and Feather Club, and was a former scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 107 in West Alexandria. He was a member of several hunting and trapping associations, was a hunting and trapping instructor and a former member of the Twin Valley Rod and Gun Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. (Jordan) Kelly, whom he married May 1, 1964, in West Alexandria; a son and daughter-in-law, Chris P. and Debra K. Kelly of Eaton; two grandsons, Bryon K. Kelly and Brett J. Kelly, also of Eaton; several aunts and one uncle of Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tim Kelly, in 1984.
Memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the Masonic Lodge, 106 S. Main St., Camden. Dorrell Funeral Home, Ludington, Mich., is in charge of arrangements.

Robert A. Kirker
Robert A. Kirker, 68, of 285 Ohio 726, Eaton, died Monday, March 24, 1997, at his home after an extended illness.
Born Nov. 20, 1928, in West Union, Ohio, he was the son of the late William J. and Pearl Kirker. He had lived in Preble County for the past 30 years, and was a retired trooper from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Mr. Kirker was a 1946 graduate of West Union High School, a 1961 graduate of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy in Columbus, a member of Full Gospel Temple, Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship, Retired Ohio State Highway Patrol Association and Ohio Troopers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann (Caplinger) Kirker; a son, Randy A. Kirker of Tucson, Ariz.; four brothers, Milford Kirker, Orlie Kirker, Ralph Kirker, all of West Union, and John Kirker of Dayton; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert A. Kirker, who died at birth; two brothers, Everett Kirker and Ermine Kirker; and two sisters, Edith Mullens and Mildred Baldridge.
Funeral services were Friday, March 28, at Full Gospel Temple, Eaton, with the Rev. Raymond E. Rothwell officiating. Burial was in West Union (Ohio) Cemetery. Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, was in charge of arrangements.

Harold E. Beane
Harold E. Beane, 81, of 301 Evergreen Drive, Eaton, died Monday, March 24, 1997, at Grandview Hospital in Dayton.
Born Aug. 31, 1915, in Eaton, he was the son of Samuel W. and Ida Mae (Samuels) Beane. He retired in 1979 from Eaton City Schools. Mr. Beane was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, and a member of the Church of Christ in Eaton.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Nola M. (Nienke) Beane; a son and daughter-in-law, Lynn E. and LuJean Beane of Eaton; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Richard Waymire of Eaton; two sisters, Helen Erisman of Eaton and Mary McQueen of Rushville, Ind.; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant in 1951; brothers, James, Glenn, Gordon and Robert Beane; and sisters, Cecil Puterbaugh, Margaret Freeman and Zelma Williams.
Funeral services were Thursday, March 27, at Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Nickell officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.
