Kenneth E. Napier
Kenneth Earl Napier, 47, of 104 East Ave., Eaton, died Friday, May 9, 1997, at Kettering Medical Center in Kettering.
Born Feb. 19, 1950, in Dayton, he was the son of Robert E. and Dorothy D. (Ball) Napier. He was a 25-year employee at General Motors Moraine Truck and Bus plant, a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Eaton and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam conflict.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Napier, in 1995; and a brother, Ronnie Napier, in 1945.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Anna Marie (Smith) Napier; two daughters, Beth A. and Angie K. Napier, both at home; his mother, Dorothy D. Napier of Eaton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bennie and Kitty Napier of Templeton, Mass, Ricky and Nina Napier of Eaton, Robert Napier of West Alexandria, Keith and Janet Napier of Ashville, Ohio; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were Monday, May 12, at Barnes Funeral Home-Preble Memory Gardens Chapel, West Alexandria, with Dr. Phillip D. Malone officiating. Burial was in Preble Memory Gardens with full military services provided by American Legion Post #215 of Eaton.

Virginia S. Weaver
Virginia S. Weaver, 78, of Eaton, died Friday, May 9, 1997, at Kettering Medical Center in Kettering..
She was a member of SGI-USA and was currently working for Meals for the Elderly through SCOPE in Preble County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Weaver, in 1962.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Edward A. and Yuko M. Weaver of Centerville, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Edward H., Michelle Y. and Eric M. Weaver, all of Centerville, Ohio.
Funeral services were Sunday, May 11, at Routsong Funeral Home, Kettering.
Nellie I. Creech
Nellie I. Creech, 85, of Ohio 503 South, West Alexandria, died Saturday, May 10, 1997, at Westview Acres Care Center in Eaton.
Born June 28, 1911, in Morning Sun, she was the daughter of Clinton and Lola (Williams) Phenis. She had been employed by Gratis Township for many years as a cemetery caretaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Creech, in 1975.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Creech of Centerville, Ind., and Walter "Ozzie" Creech of Lewisburg; two daughters, Vera Creech of Gratis and Mary "Pug" Weadick of Eaton; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Helen McClain; two brothers, Cecil Phenis and Dale Phenis; a sister, Stella Crowell; and two great-grandsons.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 13, at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Gratis, with the Rev. Robert French officiating. Burial was in Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton.
Dorothy E. Brubaker
Dorothy Elizabeth Brubaker, 89, of 118 S. Franklin St., Eaton, died Saturday, May 10, 1997, at Governor Harris Homestead after a short illness.
Born July 2, 1907, in Eaton, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Dora E. (Fadler) Michael. She was a graduate of Eaton High School and Miami Jacobs Business College, and attended Miami University.
She married Orville Joseph Brubaker on March 4, 1929 in St. Petersburg, Fla. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1979 at the Bradenton (Fla.) United Church of Christ.
Mrs. Brubaker was a member of Eaton United Church of Christ, Sigma Kappa Sorority, Eastern Star, Alpha Garden Club, past regent and 36-year member of Commodore Preble Chapter DAR, and Omicron Sigma Sorority since 1925.
Survivors include her husband, Orville Brubaker; son and daughter-in-law, Herman M. and Joan B. Brubaker of Eaton; daughter and son-in-law, Margery and Stewart Prakel of Versailles; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Michael.
Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. James W. Whitley officiating. Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, was in charge of arrangements.

Nannie B. North
Nannie B. North, 77, of Eaton, died Saturday, May 10, 1997, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton.
Born March 1, 1920, in Hyden, Ky., she was the daughter of Tom and Ella Begley. She retired in 1984 after teaching first grade for 25 years with the Wayne Township School District. She had lived in Wayne Township, Huber Heights, for 23 years and was a U.S. Army World War II WAC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold North, in 1967; a son, James T. North, in 1981; and one sister.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen D. and Mary Ellen North of Eaton, Ronald and Sondra North of Greenville, Greg S. North of Dayton and Sidney D. Norris of New Paris; six grandchildren; and a sister, Stella Lewis of North Carolina.
Funeral services were Monday, May 12, at Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel, with the Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. Burial was in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria.

Clarence H. Worth
Clarence H. Worth, 85, of Germantown, formerly of Camden, died Thursday, May 8, 1997.
Born Jan. 30, 1912, in Clay County, Ind., he was the son of the late Clarence A. and Myrtle (Sills) Worth. He retired from Frigidaire in 1973 after 29 years of service and was a member of the Friend Road Pentecostal Church.
Mr. Worth was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Worth, in 1951, and Donald Lee Worth, in 1996; and a sister, Goldie, in 1979.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Bernice P. (Gabbard) Worth; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Donald Clerk, Emma Hendrickson, all of Indiana, Rhonda Jo and Kenneth Warner of Miamisburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Jean Worth of Indiana and Timothy Worth of West Manchester; a daughter-in-law, Marjorie Worth of Indiana; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two nieces; and three cousins.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 13, at Dalton Funeral Home, Germantown, with Pastor Merle Abrams officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis.

Howard L. Pentecost
Howard L. Pentecost, 49, of Cincinnati, formerly of New Paris, died Saturday, May 10, 1997.
He was a 1970 graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in education. He was the owner of the L.T.D. Mobile Glass Co. in Cincinnati; a member of Ivy Hills Country Club and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patti A. (Hicks) Pentecost; children, Nicholas M. and Leslie A. Pentecost; sisters, Carole L. Stevens of Fortville, Ind., and Brenda K. Wendt of Knox, Ind.; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth E. and G. Zane Pentecost.
Funeral services were Monday, May 12, at T. P. White and Sons Funeral Home, Cincinnati. Burial was in Pierce Township Cemetery.

Robert N. Williamson
Robert N. Williamson, 70, formerly of Preble County, died Tuesday, May 13, 1997, in Clearwater, Fla.
Born Oct. 10, 1926, in New Paris, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mary (Short) Williamson. He had lived in Clearwater since 1977. Mr. Williamson was a retired machinist from NCR, Dayton, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He attended Grace Lutheran Church in Clearwater and was a member of American Legion Post #665, West Manchester.
Survivors include his wife, Irene L. (Rurode) Williamson, whom he married in 1951; five sisters, Floriene Alfir of Dayton, Maxine Williamson of Greenville, Norma Richardson of Ansonia, Virginia Burch of West Manchester and Dorothy Marcy of Cane Junction, Ore.; two brothers, Thomas Williamson of West Manchester and James Williamson of West Carrollton; nieces and nephews.
A brother, Lowell Williamson, is deceased.
Funeral services were Monday, May 19, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, with the Rev. Brian Dillahunt officiating. Burial was in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria.

Fannie E. Aker
Fannie E. Aker, 102, of Eaton, died Thursday, May 15, 1997, at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton.
Born Sept. 10, 1894, in New Paris, she was the daughter of Marcus and Martha Jane (Clark) Penland. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Eaton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard T. Aker, in 1971; and a son, Wendell Aker, in 1996.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Donald Stone of Eaton; a daughter-in-law, Zoann Aker of Eaton; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were Monday, May 19, at Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel, with Dr. Phillip Malone officiating. Burial was in Springlawn Cemetery, New Paris.

E. Regina Rector
E. Regina "Jean" (Wysong) Rector, 78, of 21 Horizon Drive, Ithaca, N.Y., died Thursday, May 1, 1997, after a valiant effort to overcome double handicaps of blindness and sarcoidosis lung disease.
Born Feb. 21, 1919, in Eaton, she was the youngest daughter of Frank and Bertha Wysong. She was a 1937 graduate of Eaton High School, and graduated from Miami University in 1941 with a bachelor's degree in education.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, David Rector; daughter, Rebecca of Troy N.Y.; a son, Douglas of Baldwinsville, N.Y.; two grandchildren; niece and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and one brother.
Memorial services were Monday, May 5, in Ithaca, N.Y.
