Carl C. Frazier
Carl C. Frazier, 95, of Springdale, Ohio, died Friday, March 13, 1998.
He was a former teacher, superintendent and basketball coach in the Preble County school system and the Princeton School District for over 40 years.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret C. Frazier; two daughters, Nancy Sorrell and Sheila (Joseph) Boggs; three sisters, Carmen McWhinney, Geneva Calhoun and Betty Jo Rorabeck; one brother, Clarence Frazier; grandchildren, Carlton, Christopher, Kathleen, Daniel, Andrew, Joseph, Cherie and Peggy; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Frazier; and a granddaughter, Lisa.
Funeral services were Tuesday, March 17, at Vorhis Funeral Home, Springdale.
Michael A. Dorr
Michael A. "Mark" Dorr, 34, of Inwood, W. Va., died Monday, March 9, 1998, at his home.
He was born July 29, 1963, in Leesburg, Va. He had formerly resided in Camden for about 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Robin R. (Clark) Door; his parents, Milton A. Dorr Jr. of Camden and Barbara "Bobbie" (Lindsey) Door of Inwood, W. Va.; five daughters, Tabatha Lee Dorr, Molly L. Dorr and Samantha J. Dorr, all of Ohio, Shannon R. Dorr and Brooke N. Dorr, both of Inwood, W. Va.; one stepson, James J. Starliper; one sister, Teresa Haines of Inwood, W. Va.; four brothers, Milton Dorr of Haymarket, Va., John Dorr of Ohio, Rodney Dorr of Inwood, W. Va., and Clinton Dorr of Kearneysville, W. Va.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael A. Dorr II.
Funeral services were Friday, March 13, at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg, W. Va., with the Rev. John Divico officiating. Burial was in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
Dollie E. Yost
Dollie E. (Tompkins-Snyder) Yost, 87, died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998.
She was a former resident of Brookville, Mansfield and Bradenton, Fla. Mrs. Yost was for years a missionary to Native American reservations in both Arizona and Haiti, and was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Brookville Chapter #526.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond C. Snyder and Harvey J. Yost; and one brother, Vernon M. Tompkins.
Survivors include one son, Richard C. Snyder; grandchildren, Mark, Deborah, David and Sharon; one great-grandchild, Aria; and one sister, Reva Breese.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at Gilbert-Fellers Funeral Home, Brookville, where the family will receive friends after 1 p.m.
Norma J. Croucher
Norma J. Croucher, 71, of Somerville, died Friday, March 13, 1998, at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
She was born in Berea, Ky., the daughter of Lawrence and Annie (Johnson) Abrams. She was a member of the Camden Pentecostal Church.
She married Boyd Croucher on Jan. 17, 1947, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Opal and David Tipton of Camden, and Brenda Graves of Somerville; six grandchildren, Candus, Todd, Jennifer and Sarah Tipton, Kenny Croucher and Gavin Graves; four great-grandchildren, Dannielle, David, Samantha and Dani Elizabeth Tipton.
Also surviving are four brothers, Dewey Abrams of Somerville, Lynn Abrams of Middletown, Mitchell Abrams of Berea, Ky., and Ola Abrams of Louisville, Ky.; and two sisters, Belle Adams of Dayton and Opal Loeser of Louisville, Ky.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kathy Croucher; and three brothers, Lawrence, Arnold and Walter Abrams.
Funeral services were Tuesday, March 17, at R.C. Nein & Sons-Limber Funeral Home/Willard Moss Jr. Memorial Chapel, Camden, with the Rev. Mike Gadd officiating. Burial was in Somerville Cemetery.
Lois J. Nickell
Lois Jane (Allen) Nickell, 61, of Brookville, died Saturday, March 14, 1998, at Hospice of Dayton.
Born Sept. 14, 1936, in Dayton, she was the daughter of the late John Sr. and Elvira (Little) Allen. She was a member of the Brookville Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her children, Leslie Phillips and husband Roger of Brookville, Karen Carbaugh and husband Ron of New Lebanon, Tammy Boehme of Brookville, Timothy Joseph Locke and his girlfriend, Ladonna Creech of Brookville; grandchildren, Jonathan Boehme Jr. of Trotwood and Heather Phillips of Columbus.
Also surviving are brothers, John Allen Jr. and wife Delorse of Verona, and Jerry Allen of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Grace Hodge and husband Dewey of Brookville, Lola Allen Copley Halcomb and husband Winifred of Brookville; sister-in-law, Frances Hughes and husband Frank of Lawrence, Calif.; aunt, Phoebe Jane Wampler of Farmersville; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Nickell, in 1983; a son, Thomas W. Locke Jr.; brothers, Lloyd Allen and Roland Allen; and sisters, Maxine Swinson and Mary Trent.
Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family, followed by burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Brookville. Barnes Funeral Home-Preble Memory Gardens Chapel, West Alexandria, was in charge of arrangements.

Elmer C. Adams
Elmer Clinton Adams, 83, of Mountain Home, Idaho, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Boise.
Born Oct. 28, 1914, in Rogersville, Tenn., he was the son of Smith and Delia (Sands) Adams. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Adams was employed at Standard Register Co. in Dayton for 37 years.
He married Esther Paxton on July 19, 1941. In 1972, they moved to Mountain Home and managed Sunset Manor Apartments for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Esther; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Bridget Adams of Mountain Home, Idaho; a grandson and his wife, Tony and Connie Adams of Boise, Idaho; granddaughters and their husbands, Linda and Rick VanMeer, Julie and Greg Wierschem of Mountain Home, Idaho; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 10 brothers and sisters.
Graveside services were Saturday, Jan. 31, at Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain Home, Idaho. Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel, Mountain Home, was in charge of arrangements.

Tony Schilling
Tony Schilling, 64, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998, in Garland, Texas.
Survivors include three sons, Mike, David and Tony; one daughter, Cheryl; grandchildren; one brother, Jerry; and four sisters, Dorothy, Mary Jo, Helen and Rose.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Feb. 4, in Garland, Texas.
Walter H. Pollock
Walter H. Pollock, 88, formerly of Swain Road, Eaton, died Monday, March 2, 1998, at Governor Harris Homestead, where he had resided the past three years.
Born March 3, 1909, in Jackson Township (Preble County), he was the son of the late John and Lillian (Thompson) Pollock. A lifelong resident of Preble County, he was a retired Jackson Township farmer, trustee and bus driver with the C.R. Coblentz and Eaton school districts for 33 years.
Mr. Pollock attended the New Hope United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Eaton Senior Citizens, SERS of Ohio, State of Ohio Township Trustees and Clerks Association, and a former member of Washington Grange #2183.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte M. (Stover) Pollock, in 1991; two daughters, Janice Marie Pollock, in 1935, and Donna Jean Pollock, in 1972; a grandson, Michael Keith Pollock, in 1984; and three brothers, Earl, Allen and Ralph Pollock.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Verlin L. and Mabel Pollock, Donald K. and Arthella Pollock, Gordon W. and Becky Pollock, all of Eaton; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Friday, March 6, at Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel, with the Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Mildred M. Bolen
Mildred M. Bolen, 92, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, March 4, 1998, in Lewisburg.
Born June 21, 1905, in Darke County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Pearl (Apgar) Christian. She had lived in Preble County since she was 16 years old.
She was a 1923 graduate of Monroe High School; and a life member of Wares Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was a charter member of the United Methodist Women.
Her husband, David S. Bolen, whom she married Feb. 28, 1924, died July 2, 1965, after 41 years of marriage.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette Hapner of Lewisburg; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jim and Joyce Walker and family.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Doris Robbins and Marjorie Meyer; two brothers, Chalmer Christian and Burnett Christian; and two sisters, Martha Trittschuh and Josephine Hofacker.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 7, at Wares Chapel United Methodist Church, West Manchester, with the Rev. Jim Condrey officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Michael Chapel, West Manchester, was in charge of arrangements.

Ruby M. Kitson
Ruby M. Kitson, 75, of 835 Aukerman St., Eaton, died Thursday, March 5, 1998, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind.
Born May 15, 1922, in Jefferson, Okla., she was the daughter of the late Edison J. and Ola M. (Olbert) Kennedy, and had lived in Preble County since 1946. She graduated in 1952 with a bachelor of science degree from Northwestern State Teachers College in Alva, Okla., and did graduate study at many Ohio schools. She retired after teaching for 32 years in the Eaton City Schools.
She was a member of The Church of Christ since 1950, where she was church treasurer for 25 years, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher and CWW member and officer.
She was a life member of the Ohio Education Association and Preble County Retired Teachers; past treasurer and charter member of Delta Omega Sorority; former board member of the Preble County Council on Aging; and in 1984, she and her husband received the Outstanding Citizen Award of Preble County.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Harold Kitson; daughters and son-in-law, Kay Carey of Sabina, Carol and Bernie Bondanza of West Seneca, N.Y.; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Cheryl Kitson of Westerville; seven grandchildren and spouses, Rhonda and Robert Horn, Leslie Carey, Heather and Don Roy, Erinn and Chris Kallay, Joshua Fruhlinger, Kristi Carey and Shannon Kitson; five step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Hazel Boland and Phyllis Newman, both of Wichita, Kan., and Gladys Olson of Enid, Okla.; a brother, Alfred Kennedy of Enid, Okla.; many nieces and nephews, including a special niece and nephew, Florence and Dale Wysong of Eaton.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Kennedy and Floyd Kennedy; and two sisters, Clara Ward and Dorthy Yewell.
Funeral services were Sunday, March 8, at The Church of Christ, Eaton, with the Rev. Jeff Hill officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton. Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, was in charge of arrangements.
