Frank B. Hansen
Frank B. Hansen, 78, of Eaton, died Wednesday, April 29, 1998, at his home.
Born Dec. 5, 1919, in Laramie, Wyo., he was the son of the late Frederick Peter and Hazel Blanche (Bingham) Hansen. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
There are no known living relatives.
There were no funeral services. Barnes Funeral Home-Preble Memory Gardens Chapel, West Alexandria, was in charge of arrangements.
Charles W. Bresher
Charles W. "Chuck" Bresher, 81, of Eaton, died Wednesday, May 6, 1998, at his home after a two-year illness.
Born Feb. 11, 1917, in New Hope, he was the son of the late Frank R. and Sadie A. (Oler) Bresher, and had lived in Preble County all his life.
He was a retired building inspector for Preble County and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Bresher was a former member of the Preble County Fair Board, a privileged member of the Eaton Lions Club and a member of American Legion Post #215 of Eaton.
Survivors include his wife, Cledith B. (Doram) Bresher, whom he married June 22, 1945; two daughters, Becky Koontz and Marty Bresher, both of Eaton; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A sister, Mary Frances Grose, is deceased.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 9, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, with the Rev. Fred Hill officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton, where military graveside services were conducted.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Preble County Cancer Society.
Glenn G. Moysey Jr.
Glenn G. Moysey Jr., 70, of Eaton, died Thursday, May 7, 1998, at his home after an extended illness.
A native and lifelong resident of Eaton, he was born Sept. 12, 1927, the son of the late Glenn G. Sr. and Ruth (Coe) Moysey. He was a 1945 graduate of Eaton High School and a 1950 graduate of Ohio State University.
Mr. Moysey was a retired treasurer from the Twin Valley school system, a former Eaton City Mayor and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was past member of Eaton City Council, a member and past elder and treasurer of the First Presbyterian Church, past commander of American Legion Post #215 of Eaton, Eagles Lodge #2202, former member and Man of the Year in the Eaton Jaycees, a past president of the Eaton Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Ohio State University Alumni Association, Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby (Craig) Moysey, whom he married Dec. 17, 1950; a son, Glenn G. Moysey III of Hilton Head, S.C.; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann Elliott of Somersworth, N.H., Rebecca Lynn Hilliard of Fairborn and Brenda Sue Swartz of New Paris; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; a brother, Charles C. Moysey of Van Wert; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Moysey and Walter Moysey.
Memorial services were Monday, May 11, at the First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. Private family graveside services were held at Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton. Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, was in charge of arrangements.

Raymond L. Brown
Raymond L. Brown, 72, of Somerville, died Thursday morning, May 7, 1998, at his home.
Born July 27, 1925, in Williamsburg, Ky., he was the son of Tea Brown and Jamaica Begley. He was employed by Mosler Safe Co., Hamilton, for 25 years, retiring in 1985.
He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in September 1943, served in the Pacific Theater and participated in the occupation of Japan during World War II. He was honorably discharged in July 1946.
Survivors include his wife, Ina L. Browning, with whom he celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 26, 1997; two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Bobbie Brown of Dayton, Gary and Shari Brown of Seven Mile; four grandchildren, Rodney, Tera, Geoffrey and Kayla; two great-grandchildren, Heather and Rodney Jr. "Buzz"; one brother, Earl Brown of Lexington, Ky.; and two sisters, Ruth Nicholson of Williamsburg, Ky., and Theo "Tommy" Bradmueller of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 9, at R.C. Nein & Sons-Limber Funeral Home/Willard Moss Jr. Memorial Chapel, Camden, with Chaplain Dennis Roman officiating. Burial was in Somerville Cemetery.
Lillian L. Bunger
Lillian L. Bunger, 92, formerly of Eldorado, died Saturday evening, May 9, 1998, in Richmond, Ind., after an extended illness.
Born Aug. 18, 1905, in Clayton, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Bertha (Wolford) Brumbaugh. She was a 1924 graduate of Randolph High School, and a member of the Eldorado United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale K. Bunger, in December 1997; a brother, Robert Brumbaugh; and a stepsister, Grace Keener.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Marjol and Victor I. Miller of Richmond, Ind.; half sisters, Treva Yost of St. Marys and Catherine Boggs of Dayton; two grandchildren, Alissa (Bob) Clark and Brent (Alissa) Miller; and four great-grandchildren, Bradley and Jonathan Clark, Austin and Justin Miller.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 12, at Bussard-Barnes-Vaniman Funeral Home, Eldorado, with the Rev. Brian J. Sinclair officiating. Burial was in Greenmound Cemetery, New Madison.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, to the Reid Hospital Foundation Home Care Unit or to the Hospice Unit.
Harold E. Tuthill
Harold E. Tuthill of West Alexandria died Saturday, May 9, 1998, at Hospice of Dayton after an extended illness.
Born near Camden, he was the son of the late William and Laura Ann (Price) Tuthill. He was a 1931 graduate of Eaton High School, and retired from Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors in 1975.
He was a 50-year member and past master of King Hiram Masonic Lodge #88 of West Alexandria, a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, and a member of Salem Lutheran Church in West Alexandria.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Kathleen "Cathy" (Massie) Tuthill; a daughter, Joyce H. Tuthill of West Alexandria; a son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Diane Tuthill of Brookville; sisters, Genevieve Dawkins of Eaton, Elizabeth Jones and Joyce Ward, both of Greenville, and Mildred Kester of Dayton; grandchildren, Melissa and Lee Tuthill; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Tuthill; and a sister, Margaret Craig.
Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family at Salem Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Daniel E. Snider officiating. Burial was in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria. Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Edwin C. Snow Sr.
Edwin Charles Snow Sr., 82, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, May 9, 1998, at Sycamore Medical Center in Miamisburg after an extended illness.
Born Aug. 29, 1915, in Worcester, Mass., he was the son of the late Raymond and Mary (Blair) Snow. He was a graduate of the Springfield (Mass.) Tech High School, American International College, and a 1941 graduate of the Boston College with an LLB and JD degree.
Mr. Snow had been in private law practice, moving to the Dayton area in 1951. He retired in 1981 from the City of Dayton Legal Department. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Flavia "Louise" (Fredette) Snow; a son, Edwin C. Snow Jr. of Union; a sister, Vera Squire of Denver, Colo.; a grandson, Edwin C. Snow III; a nephew, Roger Squire of Denver, Colo.; and a cousin, Charles E. Blair of Uncasville, Conn.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, at Barnes Funeral Home-Lewisburg Chapel, 411 N. Commerce St., with the Rev. Randy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Norwich, Conn. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Marie B. Moore
Marie B. Moore, 67, of Camden, died Sunday, May 3, 1998, at her home.
Born Dec. 18, 1930, in Finecastle, Va., she was the daughter of Earl and Mary Lou (Mackey) Dillon. She married Ervin McKinley Moore on July 1, 1946, in Liberty, Ind.
Survivors include four daughters, Ethel (Fred) Standridge of Oklahoma City, Okla., Janet (Jack) Childers of Waco, Texas, Phyllis Henson of Oxford and Melanie Violet Moore, at home; three sons, Richard (Debbie) Moore of Camden, Charles Moore of New Lexington and David (Cathy) Moore of Hamilton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Dillon of Ocala, Fla., and Richard Dillon of Eaton; and one sister, Judy Angel of Camden.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three children, Ervin, Craig and Pam; one brother, William Dillon; and one sister, Frances Wing.
Funeral services were Wednesday, May 6, at R.C. Nein & Sons-Limber Funeral Home/Willard Moss Jr. Memorial Chapel, Camden, with the Rev. Elgin Green officiating. Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.

Edna I. Lanigan
Edna Irene Lanigan, 93, formerly of Kettering, died Monday, May 11, 1998, at Catalpa Health and Rehab Center in Dayton after an extended illness.
Born June 13, 1904, in Verona, she was the daughter of the late George and Lucy (Phillips) Shivadecker, and had lived in Montgomery County most of her life. She was a retired self-employed manicurist.
Survivors include two sisters, Helen Knoderer of Glouster, Ohio, and Jeannette E. Rader of Dunedin, Fla.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 15, at Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg, with the Rev. David O. Justis officiating. There will be no public calling. Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, is in charge of arrangements.
John J. Nice
John Joseph Nice, 56, a resident of Albuquerque N.M., for six years, died Wednesday, May 13, 1998, in an automobile accident in Cuba, N.M.
He was a 1959 graduate of Lanier High School.
Survivors include a son, Kevin E. (Malta) Nice of Columbus; a daughter, Jeney (Spencer) Wilkins of Columbus; mother of his children, Joan L. Nice of Columbus; a granddaughter, Brittany M. Nice of Columbus; sisters, Patricia (Frank) Varela of Albuquerque, N.M., and Bonnie N. Gibson of Florida; brothers, Paul F. Nice, Vern E. (Diane) Nice, all of Florida; Earl V. (Marilyn) Nice, Glen M. Nice and wife, all of St. Louis, Mo., and Dale E. (Janet) Nice of Florida; a sister, Pauline M. (Donald) Hartman of Grand Prairie, Texas; and an aunt, Helen Carl and family of Albuquerque, N.M.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan (Jamina) Nice in December 1983; and a brother, Karl M. Nice, in January 1997.
Following cremation, a memorial service took place Wednesday, May 20. French Mortuary, New Mexico, was in charge of arrangements.
