Noel Webb Jr.
Noel Webb Jr., 60, of Englewood, Colo., formerly of the Preble County area, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1998, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver after an extended illness.
Born March 25, 1938, in Hamilton, he was the son of Nole and Wanda (Napier) Webb. He was a 1956 graduate of Camden High School, served with the Ohio National Guard for 32 years, and retired in 1993 as a supervisor for Defense Electronics Supply Center (DESC) in Dayton, having worked there for over 37 years.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Beverley (Thorp) Webb; son and daughter-in-law, David L. and Tabitha Webb of Denver, Colo.; mother, Wanda Webb of Camden; two grandsons, Dustin Webb and Zachary Webb.
Also surviving are brothers and sisters-in-law, Stephens and Janet Webb of Huntington Beach, Calif., Ronald W. and Sandy Webb of Brownsville, Ind.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Emile Morisette of Florida, Mary Lou and Frank Powell of Camden, Linda Sue and Ronald King of Camden; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1986; and a daughter, Michelle Webb, in 1992.
Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 31, at Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel, with the Rev. Merle John Abrams officiating. Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Fund -- Preble County Unit.

Paul E. Izor
Paul E. Izor, 82, of South Vine Street, Eaton, died Friday, Aug. 28, 1998, at Heartland of Eaton after an extended illness.
Born Jan. 28, 1916, in Eaton, he was the son of the late Lee and Zelma L. (Icenhouer) Izor. He was a 1934 graduate of Eaton High School, had worked for Standard Oil Company in Eaton for 25 years, and retired in 1981 from Parker Hannifin Corporation in Eaton.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mildred "Honey" (Pelle) Izor; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles L. "Chuck" and Bonnie S. Izor of Eaton; a daughter and son-in-law, Anne L. and Ron L. Butterbaugh of Troy, Mich.; granddaughters, Kristi and Terri Izor, Gwen (Ben) Simon and Katie Butterbaugh; a sister and brother-in-law, Katherine F. and Vernon Tyler of Eaton.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 31, at Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Maxedon officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Roy P. Fannin
Roy P. Fannin, 56, of Eaton, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 1998, at his home after an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 13, 1941, in Dayton. He was a 1960 graduate of Beavercreek High School, and had been a service manager at several auto dealerships.
Survivors include his wife, Carleen J. (Pevler) Fannin; his parents, Roy E. and Alta M. (Eaton) Fannin of Celina; a daughter, Lori L. Disler of Virginia Beach, Va.; a grandson, Ryan D. Disler; two sisters, Barbara E. Gunder of West Alexandria and Linda D. White of Celina; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Eileen Pevler of San Benito, Texas; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, with the Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Preble County Cancer Society.

Susan E. Mobley
Susan E. Mobley, 58, of Eaton, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 1998, at Grandview Hospital in Dayton.
Born Feb. 3, 1940, in Darke County, she was the daughter of Glenn David and Violet L. (Booker) Troutwine. She retired in 1989 from Baxter Healthcare in Eaton after 15 years, and was a member of Full Gospel Temple in Eaton.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Barry L. Mobley; her mother, Violet L. Troutwine of Greenville; sons and daughter-in-law, Danny E. Via of Eaton, Glen David and Lisa Via of Dayton; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie Sue and Chris McKee of Eaton; grandchildren, Zechariah and Rachel McKee, Katherine Elise and Mitchell David Via.
Also surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Glenn Jr. and Lydia Troutwine of Lewisburg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Richard Robbins of Englewood, Genevieve and Gene Ditmer of West Milton, Gloria and Don Rich of Arcanum, Madonna and Ronald Dearing of Greenville, Carol and Daniel Summers of Arcanum, Pam and Mike Chellis of West Manchester, Rebecca and George Brandon of Arcanum; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1998; brothers, David F. and James R. Troutwine; and a sister, Edith Marie Streich.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Full Gospel Temple, 4745 U.S. 127 North, Eaton, with the Rev. Raymond Rothwell officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden. Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Full Gospel Temple.

Archie D. Carter
Archie D. Carter, 78, of 10059 Gratis-Jacksonburg Road, Somerville, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 1998, at Kettering Medical Center in Kettering.
Born Jan. 7, 1920, in Bath County, Ky., he was the son of Joseph W. and Clara (McNabb) Carter. He was self-employed as a grocer. Mr. Carter was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Middletown.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Bernice (Terrill) Carter; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Kenny George of Gratis, Betty and Vernon Sherman of West Carrollton; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Janet L. Carter of Farmersville.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Jeff (Kari) Carter, Kelly (Mike) Lane, Vicki (Kevin) Taylor, Connie (David) Deaton, Kim (Doug) Thompson and Ken (Robin) George; four great-grandchildren, Christopher and Eric Taylor, Robby and Aaron Deaton; and a sister, Thelma Leggett of Somerville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, Middletown, with Dr. Howard Sears and Pastor Roger Green officiating. Burial will be in Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton.

Alpha M. Norvell
Alpha M. Norvell, 72, formerly of West College Corner, Ind., died Sunday evening, Aug. 30, 1998, at the home of her sister in College Corner, Ohio, after a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 4, 1926, in Pardee, Va., she was the daughter of John and Mary M. (Taylor) Estep. She studied interior design and computer programming and one year of home economics after high school. She was a food service manager for Szabo Foods. Mrs. Norvell was a member of Eastern Star Lodge #179 in Ontario, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Norvell, on May 25, 1994; and her parents.
Survivors include a son, Amos Ward of Rialto, Calif.; a brother, Lloyd Estep of West College Corner, Ind.; three sisters, Vival Smith of West College Corner, Ind., Gladys Jolley of Oxford and Connie Beiser of College Corner, Ohio; one grandson; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Showalter-Blackwell Funeral Home, Baker Chapel, College Corner, Ohio, with the Rev. William Barker officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of services on Friday. Burial will be in College Corner Cemetery, West College Corner, Ind.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Gordon Keller
Gordon "Gordy" Keller, 61, of Hamilton, died early Tuesday morning, Aug. 18, 1998, at Fort Hamilton-Hughes Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 27, 1936, in Camden, he was the son of Mark and Martha (Ramsey) Keller. He was a 1954 graduate of Camden High School and was a beater engineer at Champion International for 41 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Millville Avenue Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie (Bailey) Keller, whom he married Nov. 5, 1960; his mother, Martha Keller of Camden; two sons and daughters-in-law, James E. and Melody Keller, Jason A. and Christy Keller, all of Hamilton; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah R. and Greg Cross of Indian Springs; five grandchildren, Amber, Amanda, Trisha, Kyla and Emily; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Dean Christman of Camden, Kay and Bob Sorrell of Eaton.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a sister, Joyce Keller.
Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 21, at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, Hamilton, with the Rev. Allan Hutchinson officiating. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery near Oxford.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Millville Avenue Church of God Missions Fund.

Betty E. Gephart
Betty E. Gephart, 76, of Scottsdale, Ariz., died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, at Life Care Center of Scottsdale.
Born March 13, 1922, in Dayton, she was the daughter of the late Frederick R. and Ruth L. (Bucher) Rish, and had lived in Dayton until 1980 when she moved to Scottsdale. She was vice president of Gephart Antique and Classic Cars, and had also been a manicurist.
Survivors include her husband, Leo L. Gephart, whom she married in 1962; a son and daughter-in-law, James F. and Margaret Tandy of Tipp City; a granddaughter and her husband, Lisa and Ken Sigler; a grandson and his wife, Bruce and Jennifer Tandy; two great-grandsons, Matthew and T.J. Sigler; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Alice Rish of Phoenix, Ariz.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 24, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, with the Rev. Rick Shoemaker officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Margaret E. Watts
Margaret E. Watts, 84, of Interfaith Apartments, 510 W. Main St., Richmond, Ind., died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, at Heritage House of Richmond after a short illness.
Born April 2, 1914, in Richmond, she was the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Crome) Hackman. She had lived in New Paris from 1942 to 1987. Mrs. Watts was a former employee of Adam H. Bartel Co. in Richmond and John's Super Value in New Paris. She was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church and Order of Eastern Star #310 in New Paris.
Survivors include two daughters, Emily Ebersole of McConnelsville, Ohio, and Shirley Drook of Richmond, Ind.; a son, David L. Watts of Lewisburg; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Kranz of Cold Camp, Mo.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orval Watts, in 1989; five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were Saturday, Aug. 22, at Faith United Lutheran Church, Richmond, Ind., with Pastor John Walker officiating. Eastern Star memorial services were conducted Friday, Aug. 21, at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary, Richmond, Ind. Burial was in Lutherania Cemetery.

Lyle H. Snyder
Lyle H. Snyder, 83, of Gratis-Jacksonburg Road, Camden, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 1998, at Heartland of Eaton after an extended illness.
Born Aug. 16, 1915, in Gratis Township (Preble County), he was the son of Ralph S. and Nell (Heffron) Snyder. He was a 1933 graduate of Gratis High School and served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired in 1980 after 27 years with Delco Moraine.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Irene S. (Wing) Snyder; three sons, Larry A. Snyder of Eaton, David M. Snyder and Samuel L. Snyder, both of Camden; two daughters, Linda J. Paxton of Richmond, Ind., and Judith Ann Duncan of DePere, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Marion Snyder; and an infant twin sister.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel, with the Rev. Curtis Johnson officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gratis Emergency Squad.
