Mary A. Hullinger
Mary Anna (Webb) Hullinger, 74, of 7800 Washington Ave., Evansville, Ind., died Thursday, Oct. 22, after suffering a stroke.
She was born in Eaton on July 14, 1924. She was a member of Lady Lions and Eastern Star.
Mrs. Hullinger was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Hullinger; and a brother, Howard Webb.
Survivors include two sons, Scott Hullinger of Evansville, Ind., and Charles Howard Hullinger of Lexington, Ky.; two daughters, Lynn Dee Austin of Peru, Ind., and Tana Louise Hullinger of Lakeville, Ind.; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services were held at Catabwa Island Cemetery, with the Rev. Ram Pal officiating. Alexander East Chapel, Evansville, Ind., was in charge of arrangements.

Bruce W. Baty
Bruce W. Baty, 70, of West Alexandria, died Saturday, Oct. 24, at his home.
Born Dec. 8, 1927, in Norwalk, Conn., he was the son of Bruce and Harriet (Buffington) Baty. He was a self-employed entrepreneur and had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. A pilot for over 40 years, he was co-founder of Women in Aviation Intl., was an active member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, a member of the Quiet Birdmen, and was an air show announcer for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy J. (Russell) Baty, whom he married March 22, 1980; a daughter, Jeanine Adams of Hialeah, Fla.; eight grandchildren; his mother, Harriet Warden of Vestal, N.Y.; a sister, Jean Simmons of Vestal, N.Y.; and a brother, Roger Warden of Loveland, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his father; and two daughters, Pam and Deborah Baty.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Barnes Funeral Home-Preble Memory Gardens Chapel, 3377 U.S. 35, West Alexandria. The family will receive friends from noon-1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Constance A. Cook
Constance A. Cook, 58, of New Paris, died Saturday, Oct. 24.
Born Jan. 12, 1940, in Wayne County, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Wilbur Homer and Alice Anna May (Christ) Toney. She was a member of the Gospel Baptist Church in New Paris.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Cook, whom she married Nov. 7, 1959; sons, Wilbur Anthony Holley of Orient, Ohio, and Willie Tifford Cook of Somerset, Ky.; daughters, Rebecca May Pippin of Richmond, Ind., Tonya Fay Spalding of West Alexandria, Kimberley Irene Knotts of Toledo, Constance Anna Guisinger of New Paris, Patsy Ellen Knotts of Toledo and Freda Espero of Richmond, Ind.; 20 grandchildren; brothers, Jack Toney of Richmond, Ind., and Walter Toney of California; sisters, Betty Hunt of Richmond, Ind., Jane Raider of Richmond, Ind., and Donna Jean Bozarth of Texas.
She was preceded in death by granddaughters, Andrea Michelle Cook and Stephanie Marie Knotts; and a sister, Carolyn Riddle.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Barnes Funeral Home-Preble Memory Gardens Chapel, West Alexandria, with Pastor Gilmer Smith officiating. Burial was in Preble Memory Gardens.
Harold Bailey
Harold Bailey, 59, of 1027 N. 550 East, Brownsville, Ind., died Friday evening, Oct. 23, at Fayette Memorial Hospital in Connersville.
Born May 28, 1939, at Blackey, Ky., he was the son of Jesse and Dovie (Large) Bailey. He had lived in Brownsville since 1986, moving there from North Vernon, Ind. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Milestone Paving Company for about the past 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Judy (Wines Puckett) Bailey, whom he married Aug. 31, 1997; two sons, Joey L. Bailey of Brownsville, Ind., and Shane Bailey of Lexington, Ky.; a daughter, Carrlee Bailey of Richmond, Ind.; four stepsons, Willie Puckett of Vandalia, Larry Puckett of Camden, David Puckett and Joe Puckett, both of Eaton; a stepdaughter, Melissa Puckett of Camden; three sisters, Nora Sponaugle of Londonville, N.Y., Maudie Dussault of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Joyce Farmer of North Vernon, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons; one sister; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Showalter-Blackwell Funeral Home, Baker-Fosdick Chapel, Liberty, Ind., with the Rev. Ernie Wells officiating. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery, Liberty, Ind.
Veta A. Ball
Veta A. Ball, 78, of Eaton, died Sunday, Oct. 25, at her home.
Born April 25, 1920, in Lexington, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Murtie (Horn) Ensminger, and had lived in Eaton most of her life. She had been a bookkeeper at Spring Brothers Department Store and did alterations at Moysey Brothers Clothing Store. She was a member of the Eaton Church of the Brethren.
Her husband, Floyd L. Ball, died Sept. 13, 1976. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Jean Ensminger and Pauline Birt.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Sandy Ball of Eaton; a daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Paul Land of Eaton; two granddaughters, Kimberly Ashman and Kristine Hilleary; two grandsons, James Ball and Derek Land; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, 226 W. Main St., Eaton, with the Rev. Martin L. Peacock officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Wilma J. Gadd
Wilma J. Gadd, 53, of Camden, died Sunday, Oct. 25, at her home.
Born Aug. 30, 1945, in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Rev. John and Carrie (Blevins) Faulkner.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Gadd, whom she married July 19, 1968; a son, Kevin of Camden; a daughter, Kim, at home; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Carolyn Faulkner, Elmer and Wanda Faulkner, John and Peggy Faulkner, all of Middletown; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Delores and John Frey of Cincinnati, Jenny and Jennings Lansaw of Middletown.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at R.C. Nein & Sons-Thompson Funeral Home, 249 N. Main St., Camden, with the Rev. James Setser officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
Alberta M. West
Alberta Mae (Johnson) Snyder West, 90, formerly of South Main Street, Lewisburg, died Sunday, Oct. 25, at Heartland of Eaton after an extended illness.
Born Feb. 6, 1908, in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of Clarence G. Sr. and Carrie E. (Isenbarger) Johnson. She had lived in the Lewisburg and Brookville areas most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewisburg.
Survivors include a sister, Hazel I. Erisman of Dayton; a brother and sister-in-law, Clarence G. Jr. and Louise Johnson of Kettering; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey R. Johnson and Howard L. Johnson; her first husband, Samuel W. Snyder, in 1957; and her second husband, F. Orent West, in 1977.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Barnes Funeral Home-Lewisburg Chapel, with the Rev. George Pennington officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg.
Betty M. McGuire
Betty Marie McGuire, 78, of West Mechanic Street, Eaton, died Monday, Oct. 26, at her home.
She was born Oct. 5, 1920, in Dayton.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Ora Lewis McGuire; three sons, Kenneth McGuire and Kord Lee McGuire, both of West Alexandria, and Kim McGuire of Eaton; three daughters, Karen Schomburg of Dayton, Kathy Evans of West Alexandria and Kris Smith of Aurora, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; her mother, Ruth (Orndorf) Grant of Lima; a sister, Geneva Shellabarger of Lima; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Grant; and two brothers, Bill Grant and Albert T. Grant.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria, with the Rev. Curt Johnson officiating. Following the graveside service, a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 3613 Winston Lane, West Alexandria. Lindoff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, is in charge of arrangements.

George H. Emley
George H. Emley, 72, of New Lebanon, formerly of Germantown, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Hospice of Dayton.
Born Sept. 26, 1926, he was the son of Clarence A. and Mary M. Emley. He was a chief deputy registrar for the State of Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles and most recently retired from the Preble County Council on Aging.
Mr. Emley was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the First Baptist Church of New Lebanon. He was also a charter member and past president of the Germantown Lions Club, past superintendent of Sunday school at Wesley United Methodist Church, a former Boy Scout leader for the Germantown troop and was also very active with youth sports.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy E. (Hittle) Emley; two daughters, Lorna (Michael) Smith of Middletown and Jennifer (Stephen) Halron of Green Bay, Wis.; a son, Scott (Cathy) Emley of Germantown; two stepdaughters, Robin (Bob) Staggs of Florida and Laura (Keith) Landis of Brookville.
Also survivng are two stepsons, Tony (Kerri) Rike of Florida and Scott (Leila) Rike of Brookville; 17 grandchildren; two brothers, John (Joanne) Emley of Alabama and Benjamin "Tim" (Phyllis) Emley of Germantown; two sisters, Lorna (Dan Jr.) Anslinger of Chico, Calif., and Mary Martha Emley of Germantown; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Clarence "Bud" Emley.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at the First Baptist Church of New Lebanon, 335 S. Church St., New Lebanon, with Pastor Terry Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m., just prior to services, on Friday at the church. Burial will be in Germantown Cemetery. Dalton Funeral Home, Germantown, is in charge of arrangements.
Harold D. Grubb Jr.
Harold Dean Grubb Jr., 30, of North Factory Road, West Alexandria, died Monday, Oct. 19, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born April 17, 1968, in Dayton, and was a 1986 graduate of Twin Valley South High School. He was employed as a brick mason.
Survivors include his parents, Donna L. (Stewart) and Harold Dean Grubb Sr. of West Alexandria; a daughter, Heather Lynn Cline of Eaton; maternal grandmother, Gladys Stewart of Barboursville, Ky.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were Friday, Oct. 23, at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, followed by burial in Preble Memory Gardens.
Helen K. Davis
Helen K. Davis, 82, of Eaton, died Monday, Oct. 26, at Greenbriar Nursing Center.
