Marguerite E. Summers, 92, of Chillicothe, died 9:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, in the Adena Regional Medical Center, unexpectedly.

Elsworth F. "Buster" Sutherland, 64, of Rozelle Creek Road, died 8:55 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, in the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.

Clyde W. Remy, 71, of Ray, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002, at Adena Regional Medical Center.

Mary Bell West, 86, died Friday at Hearth & Care at Greenfield.

Ruth E. Griesheimer
Ruth E. Griesheimer, 94, of E. Main St., died 5:10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, in Westmoreland Place, following a brief illness.

James S. Kidder
James S. Kidder, 55, of Lutz, Fla., died on Wednesday in Tampa, Fla. He is survived by his wife Brenda, two sons, Michael of Boston, Mass. and Joshua of Lutz, Fla., two brothers, John of Hillsboro, Ohio and Jeffrey of Altoona, Fla., a sister, Jeanette Badgley of Columbus, Ohio, and a mother-in-law, Betty Peters of Lutz, Fla. He was a former employee of Lockheed Martin. Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. A visitation will be held at Blount Curry & Roel Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Tommy M. Seymour
Tommy Seymour, 62, of Bull Creek Road, Laurelville passed away at his home on Sept. 7, 2002 surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was born Aug. 6, 1940 in Ross County. Tommy was preceded in death by parents, Basil H. & Mildred (Smith) Seymour and a sister, Peggy Stump.

Albert J. Simon
Albert J. Simon, 91, of Chillicothe, died peacefully, 2:26 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, in his home, surrounded by his wife, daughters and other close family members, following a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 13, 1911, in Chillicothe, to Frank J. and Martha M. Klein Simon. On Feb. 25, 1933, he married Eleanor W. Damron, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Dr. Lynn A. Simon, Athens, Ohio, Sharon S. Dykes, DeBary, Fla., Martha E. (Nikolaus) Wenzel, Joy E. (Harold D. Jr.) Carver, both of Chillicothe; six grandchildren, Michelle (Vincent) Willis, Thomas Dykes IV, Felicia (Albert) Wenzel-Vonderheide, Heather Bradley, Laurel (Eric) Lenox and Joshua Carver; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Mr. Simon was a retired ODOT bridge engineer and farmer. He was a member of St. Mary Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary Church, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Adena Hospice, 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe.
