Mabel L. Woolum
Mabel L. Woolum, 82, of Keller Road, died 11:12 a.m. Saturday Oct. 12, 2002 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, following a brief illness.
Carl E. Camelin
Carl E. Camelin, 75, of Chillicothe, lost his long battle with cancer 6:30 a.m. Oct. 14, 2002.
On Dec. 17, 1950, he married Marian Marleen Kellough. He was born April 28, 1927, in Fayette Co., to Everett and Ruby Shoemaker Camelin.
In addition to his wife, survivors include daughters, Darlene (Gary) Tackett, of Waverly, LaDonna (Dave) Abel, of Cincinnati and Carla Williamson, of Portsmouth; grandchildren, Clint Tackett, Scott Camelin, Heather Abel, Jeremy Williamson, Jan Chaney Camelin, Jonathan Cook, Jessica Cook, Renee Cook and Tameca Sever; great-grandchildren, Charles and Carl Camelin, Chelsea, Brianna, Hope, Marrisa and Logan Tackett, William Chaney Camelin and Kyle McClary. He was preceded in death by a son, William Camelin; a grandson, Joey Abel; and a great-granddaughter, Samantha Camelin.
Mr. Camelin retired from MeadWestvaco after almost 40 years of service. He then worked for the Pinkerton Security Company at DuPont until he became ill. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday in the Haller Funeral Home, with Rev. Glen Laessle officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross County Veterans Firing Squad, will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Haller's.

Dorothy Buckner, of Frankfort, died Oct. 9, 2002, in Ocala, Fla.
Murel A. Clemmons
Murel A. Clemmons, 72, of Frankfort, Ohio, died 4:20 a.m. Sunday October 13, 2002 in Oakwood Medical Hospital, Dearborn, MI following an extended illness.
She was born August 19, 1930, in Ross County, to the late Virgil and Dora North Davis. On October 13, 1951, she married Jack E. Clemmons who died January 4, 1986.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Vicki and Joseph Prieur, of Southgate, MI and Pamela and J. Glenn Simmons, of Chillicothe; grandchildren Tammy (Greg) Richter, Jennifer (Kevin) Lemaster, James Shelby (Amy) Roush, Shawn and Joshua Wallin, Amber and Doug Roush, Jaclin and Derek Prieur, Kyle Simmons and Derek Lemaster; nine great-grandchildren; brothers Paul Davis, of Chillicothe, Jackie Davis, of Kingston and Wilbur Davis, of Louisville, KY; and sister Margaret Newlon, of Frankfort.
She was predeceased by daughter Diane Chaffin, son Charles Clemmons, two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2002, in the Ware Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call at Ware's from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday (today).
Frank Ray Conaway
Frank Ray Conaway, 97, of Chillicothe, died 8:40 p.m. Sunday October 13, 2002 in the Mt. Carmel Medical Center, Columbus, following a short illness.
He was born September 14, 1905, in Ross County, to the late Francis "Frank" M. and Caroline Strausbaugh Conaway. On September 15, 1926, he married the former Nellie B. Felter who died November 15, 1993.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law June and Clarence Wood, of Columbus, OH; grandchildren Lori (Ronald) Anderson, of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Bradley (Connie) Wood, of Pickerington, OH; great-grandchildren Erin and Eric Anderson and Meghan Wood and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers Clarence, Bryan and Roy Conaway and sisters Jessie Wilson, Pearl Gray, O'dessa Wright and Grace Seitz.
Ray was a member of the Chillicothe Seventh-day Adventist Church and was a retired farmer.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday October 17, 2002 in the Ware Funeral Home with Dr. Frank G. Steyn and Pastor Vernon Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Odell C. Hedrick
Odell C. Hedrick, 72, of Chillicothe, passed from this life unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002 in the Aultman Hospital, Canton, OH.
He was born Nov. 17, 1929 in Circleville, OH, the son of Ordell and Nellie Mae Moss Hedrick. In 1985 he married Sharon L. Prickett, who survives.
Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Viola Prickett, sons and daughters-in-law, William and Jane Hedrick, Ronnie and Rose Hedrick, a son, Michael Hedrick and companion, Jo, a stepdaughter, Pam Graves, a stepson and step-daughter-in-law, Scott and Kathy Salley and stepsons, Ed Salley, Jr., Greg Salley and Jeff Salley, all of Chillicothe, 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Margie Frazier, Chillicothe, sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Dick Harris, Frankfort, Doris and Phil Yates, Chillicothe and Ruby and Lloyd Detty, Londonderry, half sisters, Mary Lou and Jimmy Bickel, Reynoldsburg, Karen and Tom Arnold, Centerburg, stepsisters, Christina Herley, Hilliard and Lula Van Diver, Westerville, a brother-in-law, Clyde Harmon, Columbus and a stepbrother, Roy Turner, Londonderry and several nieces and nephews. His parents, a son, Robert Hedrick, a sister, Evelyn Harmon and a granddaughter, Kamra Lee Hedrick preceded him in death.
Mr. Hedrick was a retired driver for Chef's Supply and was a locksmith. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Pastor John Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

John Robert Lowery
John Robert Lowery, 72, of Chillicothe, Ohio, went to be with his Lord on Sunday Oct. 13, 2002, at 12:52 p.m. at the Adena Regional Medical Center Chillicothe, Ohio.
He was born Dec. 26, 1929, in Ross Co., to the late Sigle and Laura Belle Eblin Lowery. He was of the Baptist Faith and retired after 38 years of service from Chilpaco and a member of the Moose Lodge and Local 988.
He is survived by his companion, Shirley Sue Lowery; children, Linda Lee (Dennis) Campbell, Robert (Melissa) Lowery, Richard Lowery, Ellen (Gary) Burnett and Margie (Robert) Bobo; sixteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, all of Chillicothe; a sister, Geraldine (Don) Seymour of Frankfort; brothers, Gene (Jeannie) Lowery of Waverly and Carl Dean Lowery of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Shantel Lyn Bobo and Madalyn Hughes; sisters, Bertha Lowery, JoAnn Butcher, Lillian Evans and Mary Willis; three Brothers, Dick, August and Sigle Lowery.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 16, 2002, at 1 p.m. in the Ware Funeral Home with Clergyman, Jason Lowery and Arville Jr. Murray officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's for visitation on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Eric Nathan Lyons, 12, of Greenfield, died Sunday in the Children's Hospital of Columbus.
