Dwight C. Shaeffer
Dwight C. Shaeffer, age 84, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2002 at 12:35 a.m. in the Mt. Carmel Medical Center after a sudden illness.
He was born on April 1, 1918 in Pickaway County to John and Cora (Crawford) Shaeffer. He retired from the maintenance department at Dupont in Circleville after 26 years of service. He had lived most of his life in the New Holland area.
Mr. Shaeffer was a member of the Southside Church of Christ. He was a lifetime member of the New Holland VFW and a past member of the New Holland Lion's Club. He was a US Navy WWII Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary (Hickle) Shaeffer, brothers Calvin and Robert Shaeffer and sisters Helen Whitten and Glenna Steinhauser.
Mr. Shaeffer is survived by children Luann (Roger) Everhart of Leesburg, David (Joyce) Shaeffer of WCH, and Ron (Diane) Shaeffer of Frankfort; grandchildren Bradley and Kelli Shaeffer, both of WCH, Tim and Gregg (Tanya) Shaeffer, all of Frankfort; Zachary Dwight Everhart and Zane Everhart, both of Leesburg, Tracey (Freddie) Marcum of Jeffersonville and Brad (Shane) Howard of Bloomingburg; 9 great-grandchildren and brother Glenn (Leona) Shaeffer of Williamsport, sister Minnie Steinhauser of Circleville and sister-in-law Betty Schaeffer of Williamsport.
The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. in the New Holland Cemetery with Danny Dodds officiating.

Donna J. Dick Yarcso
Donna J. Dick Yarcso, age 57, originally from Waverly, died peacefully after an extended illness on Friday, November 8, 2002 at her residence in Obetz. Former Office Manager, J-Bar Co.
Survived by husband, Larry; daughter, Rhonda Mustard, Obetz; step-son, Joshua Yarcso, Toledo; sisters, Glenda (Rick) Evans, Piketon, Allison (Jeff) Shaeffer, Pickerington; beloved nieces and nephews; special friend, Steven Howard.
Friends may call at the Myers Funeral Home, Groveport, Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where service will be conducted Monday 1 p.m. Rev. Clovis Vanover officiating. Graveside service and interment Monday 3 p.m., Evergreen Cemetery, Waverly, Oh.

Florence Helmick
Florence Helmick, age 80, of Washington Court House, died Tuesday.
The funeral service will be held on 11 a.m. Saturday, in the Summers Funeral Home, 223 W. Market St., Washington Court House. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Donna Hoey
Donna Mae Speakman Hoey, 60, of Big Pine Rd. Laurelville went to be in the arms of the angels, Nov. 12, 2002 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Donna was born May 3, 1942 the daughter of the late Melvin "Doc" and Thelma Gilpen Speakman.
Donna Mae, as she was known, leaves behind her husband, Laten, of 22 years, mother Thelma Speakman, Whisler; precious daughter, Connie Huston, Circleville; stepchildren, Rhonda Lucro, Yakima, Washington, Darren (Clara) Hoey, Laurelville and Tim Hoey, Columbus; grandchildren, Zachery, Sara Rose, Travis and Brittany; sister, Judy (Frank) Raymond, brothers, Herb (Pat) Speakman, Melvin Speakman, all of Laurelville, Joe (Marcia) Speakman, and Pete Speakman, both of Whisler. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Donna Mae enjoyed her time most playing bingo, being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. She retired from LDM Technologies after 24 years.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston with Rev. Lynn Summers officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Hill's Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m.
Arlene Alice Theobald
Arlene Alice Theobald, 79, of Newark, Ohio, died November 12, 2002, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was born in Custer, Ohio, on September 7, 1923 to Claude and Bertha (Browning) Courtright.
She is survived by sons, Ronald (Pat) Stanfield, Carol Stream, Illinois, Jerry Marvin Stanfield, Dallas, Texas, and Rick Stanfield, San Bernadino, California; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Vera Gillespie, Fort Myers, Florida; brother, Harold Courtright, Willard, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and three step-children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Theobald; two brothers; and one sister.
She was a member of the United Brethren Church of Willard, Grotto, eagles, Moose, and E.U.B.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2002, at the Bruckner and Kishler Funeral Home, Newark, Ohio, with Rev. Robert Knox officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 2 o 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Licking County.
Reuben Abraham Cannon
Reuben Abraham Cannon, 51, of Sacramento, Calif., formerly of Greenfield, died Wednesday in Sacramento.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Home of Peace Cemetery Chapel, 6200 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento. Interment will follow. At the request of the family, no flowers please. Donations may be made to the Congregation Mosaic Law or to Loaves and Fishes.
Jeffrey S. Cousins
Jeffrey S. Cousins, 34, of Columbus, formerly of Chillicothe, died Thursday in Mt. Carmel Medical Center.

Gerald D. Ferrell
Gerald D. Ferrell, 82, of Lower Twin Road, South Salem, died 4:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002, at Edgewood Manor, Greenfield.
He was born May 6, 1920, in Clarksburg, W.Va. On Jan. 3, 1953, he married Evelyn Compher, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, Marcus (Beverly) Ferrell, of Florida, Gregory Allen Ferrell, of Sabina, Kirby Lee Ferrell, of Chillicothe and Linda Ferrell, of Frankfort; a daughter-in-law, Diana Ferrell, of Greenfield; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Gerald was a retired Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and he retired from Orient Correctional Institution.
There will be a graveside service 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, in the Twin Township Cemetery, with Rev. Glenn Newland officiating. A military graveside service will be performed by the Ross County Veterans Firing Squad. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the Smith-Moore Funeral Home, Bainbridge.
