Robert "Rob" Dalrymple
Robert "Rob" Dalrymple, 65, of Chillicothe, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 14, 1937, in Chillicothe, to the late Paul and Oma V. Graves Dalrymple. On Aug. 30, 1981, he married the former Janet M. Edler, who survives.
Also surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law Teresa (Barry) Oyer, Chillicothe; Debra (Steve) Ashcraft, Lowell, Mass.; and Jody (Robert) Kramer, Warren; stepdaughters Karen (Steve) Smalley, Washington Court House; Joyce Warner, Traverse City, Miss.; Linda (James) Wellman, Fairborn; 19 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brothers and sisters-in-law Roger (Jackie) Dalrymple, Merle Ray Dalrymple, Ed (Sharon) Dalrymple, Bill (Debbie) Dalrymple; sister Rebecca Letts; sister and brother in law Laura (Ralph) Rogers; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Glenda (Ivan) Leedy, Sanford Edler, Ted (Shirley) Edler, Jack (Karen) Edler and Cindy Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Dalrymple retired from the Mead Paper Company in 1997. He was a member of the Mead Local 731 and a member of the CHS class of 1955.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Salvation Army Chapel with Major Ernest Ashcraft officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Haller Funeral Home.
Charles "Charley" Davis
Charles "Charley" Davis, 70, of Chillicothe, died 3:40 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2002, in the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a short illness.
He was born November 29, 1931, in Ross Co. to the late Clinton C. and Emma May Davis. On December 29, 1952 he married the former Florence Poole who survives.
Also surviving are; son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Kay Davis of Chillicothe; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Kit Oates of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Laura and Clint Davis and Justin, Cody and Casey Oates; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gail and Deskey Davis of Chillicothe and Jeff and Sally Davis of Chesapeake, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law, Esther and Jim Potticary of Cincinnati and sister, Doris Ann Moss of Grove City; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by; sisters, Thelma Ault, Edna Davis, Opal Cox and an infant sister Marjorie Davis.
Charles was a member of Hilltop Mission and was retired from the Chillicothe City Schools Maintenance Department with over thirty years of service.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2002 in the Ware Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Campbell and Rev. David Cyrus officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call at Ware's from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Marie Gearhart
Marie Gearhart, 100, of Kingston, died Sunday at Westmoreland Place.
Arrangements are pending at the Hill Funeral Home.
Earl W. Roberts
Earl W. Roberts, 82, of Chillicothe, died 1:30 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2002, in the Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly.
He was born February 6, 1920 , in Hamden to the late C. W. and Hannah Brown Roberts. On June 11, 1944, he married the former Emma Jane Ebright who died September 3, 1994.
Mr. Roberts is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five sisters and three brothers.
Earl was a U.S. Army W.W. II veteran and a retired employee of the Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric Company.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2002 in the Ware Funeral Home with Ernest Huff officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call at Ware's from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Donna M. West
Donna Marie West, 80, of Chillicothe died Sunday in the Valley View Care Center, Frankfort.
Funeral arrangements are being completed at the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home.
Charlotte Armintrout
Charlotte Armintrout, 80, formerly of Blain Highway, Waverly, died 3:14 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at Pleasant Hill Manor, Piketon.
She was born June 10, 1922, in Lucasville, the daughter of the late Charles Steele and Lida (Ward) Steele. On June 26, 1948, Charlotte was united in marriage to Vora Lee Armintrout, who preceded her in death on April 9, 2000.
Surviving are a grandson, Kevin (Paula) Locke of Waverly, three great grandchildren; Felisha, Caleb and Lauren Locke, of Waverly, one brother, Charles (Winonna) Steele, of Lucasville; two sisters, Irene (Glenn) Rapp, of Lucasville, and Betty Lou (Jack) Blakeman, of Chillicothe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Jimmie Ray Locke, and one brother, Harry Steele.
Charlotte was a retired nursing assistant at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, and a former employee of the Pike County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2002, at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, with Rev. Jeff Blakeman officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Massieville.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday, at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
Sheri L. Diehl
Sheri L. Diehl, 56, of Chillicothe, died 6: 35 a. m. Tuesday, November 19, 2002, in O.S.U. Hospitals following an extended illness.
She was born September 21, 1946, in Chillicothe, to Robert R. and Ellen Schiller Kerr. On February 14, 1970, she married Philip E. Diehl, who survives.
In addition to her mother, of Chillicothe, she is also survived by: daughter, Tammy Diehl and her friend, Michael Shirkey, both of Chillicothe, daughter and son-in-law, Amy Jo and Jason Hicks, of Vinegrove, Kentucky; grandchildren, Ray and Brenna Hicks ; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Nancy Kerr, of Huber Heights; a nephew, Rob Kerr and a niece, Diane Kerr both of Huber Heights; and a sister-in-law, Salley Lindsey and her daughter Heather, both of Moore, Oklahoma. Sheri was predeceased by her father.
Mrs. Diehl was a Majority Member of the Chillicothe Grand Cross of Assembly of Rainbow Girls.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2002, in the Ware Funeral Home with Rev. Robert L. Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 8 p. m. Thursday (today).
Viola M. (Detty) Gordon
Viola M. (Rapp) Detty Gordon, 82, passed from us to God at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, in Heartland of Chillicothe, after a long illness.
She was born in Pike County, on May 6, 1920. She married Jesse "Pat" Detty, on May 5, 1939. Their marriage lasted 48 years before his death in 1987.
Surviving are their three children, Larry L. and wife, Ann Detty, Londonderry, Sandra and husband, Jack Lawson, Englewood, OH, and Donna Music, Vandalia, OH, five grandchildren, Sue Colly and Kim Oats, Chillicothe, Tracey L. Hall and David Hall, Jr., CA, and Scott E. Music, Huber Heights, OH, and six great grandchildren.
On Sept. 21, 1990, Viola married A. Page Gordon. Their marriage lasted eight years until Mr. Gordon's death in 1988. His children and family welcomed Mom into their homes and lives.
Also surviving are three sisters, Esther Conley, Chillicothe, Marcella Phillips, Marion, OH, and Opal Eades, Dayton, OH, a brother, George Rapp, Fairborn, OH, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Her parents, sisters, Garnette Rapp, Anna Moats and Vivian Heib; and brothers, Everett and Paul Rapp, preceded her in death.
Viola attended the Hamman Church, at Zahn's Corner in Pike County. She was a member of the Ross County Senior Citizens.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Adena Health System, 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
Russell Eugene Jenkins
Russell Eugene Jenkins, 60, of Bainbridge, died Tuesday, at Greenfield Medical Center.
According to Russell's wishes he will be cremated and there will be no services or visitation. Arrangements by Smith-Moore Funeral Home, Bainbridge.
Sandra S. Knapp
Sandra S. Knapp, 61, of Chillicothe, died 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2002, in the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.
She was born April 1, 1941, in Ross County, to John E. and Mary E. Hertenstein Gumm. On August 31, 1963, she married her loving and dedicated husband of 39 years, Vernard E. Knapp, who survives.
Also surviving is a sister, Linda (Kenneth) Remy, of McArthur; four brothers and sisters-in-law; eight nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Teresa (Jack Detty) Remy, of Jackson, and two special nephews, Kenneth (Chris) Remy, Jr., and John (Annette) Remy, all of Ray; 12 great nieces and nephews; aunts, Marilyn (Everett) Irvin, Janet (Roger) Boggess, and Mae Markel; an uncle, Clyde (Alma) Hertenstein; and numerous close friends, here in Chillicothe and in Pinehurst, NC.
Sandy attended Brookside Church, was an avid golfer, a former member of the Lady Elks, and a member of the Whispering Wood Golf Club in Pinehurst, NC. She had retired as an accounting clerk with Mead/Westvaco after 38 years of service and was a 1959 graduate of Chillicothe High School.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, in the Haller Funeral Home, 1661 Western Ave., with Rev. David Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the services at Haller's.
