Robert E. Johnston
Robert E. Johnston, 76, of Ray, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at his residence. He was born May 25, 1928, in Guthrie County, Iowa, he was the son of the late Ralph E. and Sabina Miner Johnston.
Barbara J. Shaw
Barbara Jean Shaw was born May 21, 1938 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Harry J. Music and Elizabeth A. Hamm Music and went home to be with her Lord Jesus, who she passionately loved, June 28, 2004 in Tacoma, Washington.
Reverend Robert Trimble
Reverend Robert Trimble, went home to be with his heavenly Father on June 27, 2004. He was born September 28, 1938, near Marshall, Ohio.
Richard A. 'Rick' Bowdle
Richard A. "Rick" Bowdle, 52, of Chillicothe, died Wednesday afternoon, June 2, 2004, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born in Ross County, on July 7, 1951, the son of the late Russell L. and Geraldine "Jerry" Fogle Bowdle. On Sept. 26, 1972, he married the love of his life, the former Pam Grabill, who survives.
Also surviving are their two children whom Rick loved dearly, Heidi Jo (J.C.) Wisecup, of Chillicothe, and Brent Alan Bowdle, of Chillicothe; his one grandson, Carter Wisecup, who was Grandpa's Little Man; grandmother, Mrs. Lillian Bowdle, of Frankfort; sister, Anita (Marvin) Garrison, of Chillicothe; one brother, Ronnie (Cindy) Bowdle, of Clarksburg; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Naomi and Gerald Grabill, of Frankfort; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Rick will be missed by all who knew him.
Rick was a 1969 graduate of Unioto High School and was a devoted farmer, but he loved his wife and kids above everything else.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 5, 2004, at 1 p.m. in Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort, with the Rev. Michael Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday (today) from 5 to 9 p.m.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Concord Twp. or Union Twp. Emergency Squad.
Phyllis Brown
Phyllis Brown, 71, of Londonderry, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Adena Regional Medical Center.
Born in Allensville, on November 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late James Leonard and Angela Sowers Bail.
She was a homemaker, member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, for 45 years, where she was a Sunday school and Bible school teacher and choir member, 1950 graduate of Allensville High School, where she was salutatorian of her class, former 4-H advisor and PTA member, volunteer at Mt. Logan Handicap School and for Cancer Society.
Phyllis married Vernon R. Brown, January 6, 1951, and he survives. Also surviving are daughters, Charlotte (Charles) Fri, of McArthur, Cheryl Clark, of Kingston, and Charon K. Brown, at home; grandchildren, Carla (Lee) Rowley, of Columbus and Garth Fri, of McArthur; great-granddaughter, Aria Elise Rowley. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Kay Rogers, an infant son and infant sister.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, with Rev. James Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday (today) at Garrett Funeral Home, McArthur, and one hour prior to services at the church Saturday.

Stella Mae Current, 98, of Greenfield, died Wednesday at Edgewood Manor, Greenfield.

James W. Eakle
James W. Eakle, 42, of Chillicothe, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2004, at home.
He was born July 20, 1961, in Steubenville, OH, the son of Donald L. Eakle, who survives, and the late Harrieta (Lydia) Lewis Eakle. James was also preceded in death by one infant sister.
James was a construction worker, was a member of Labor Union #809, of Steubenville, OH and was a member of Labor Union #423 of Columbus, OH.
James is survived by his father, his wife, Pamela Kay Myers Eakle, of Chillicothe; two daughters, Billie Jo Eakle and her fiancé, Rusty Rhodes, of Chillicothe, and Brandy Eakle, of Chillicothe; son, James W. Eakle Jr., of Chillicothe; three stepchildren, Shawn (MaLinda) Sprouse, Eric (Anna) Sprouse and April Sprouse and her fiancé, Steve Munyon, all of Chillicothe; one sister, VaLinda Wilson and her husband, Scott, of Piney Fork, OH; one brother, Mitchell Eakle and his fiancé, Sharon Hough, of Wintersville, and four grandchildren.
Visitation for James will be Friday, June 4, 2004, at noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. at McClave-Chadler-Mills, Inc., 611 N. 4th St., Steubenville, OH. Burial will be at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville, OH.

Lavonne M. Uhrig Bowsher, 75, of Columbus, formerly of Chillicothe, passed from this life Sunday evening, May 30, 2004, at her residence.
Gale V. Grubb, Jr.
Gale V. Grubb, Jr., 37, of Grove City, passed away Monday, May 31, 2004, at Grant Hospital. Gale gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
He was employed by Nationwide Ins. Co. 15-plus years and partner of Adventure Cycles of Ohio. Gale was program director for Central Region 2003 for Contingency Planners of Ohio; member of Disaster Recovery Institute, Certified Business Continuity Professionals & CRP Certified Recovery Planner; and member of Grove City Chamber of Commerce. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Robert E. Hatfield and Nellie and Howard Grubb; stepmother, Judy Grubb; and mother and father-in-law, Billie and Richard Heine.
He is survived by loving wife of 15 years, Barbara; parents, Bonnie L. and Guy Summanen and Gale V. Grubb, Sr.; grandmother, Mary V. Hatfield; sisters, Tammy Brown and Missy (Craig) Lantzy; stepbrothers and sisters Elizabeth R. Summanen (Brian Chesney), Jack (Colleen) Summanen, Joe Summanen and Nick Glaub; best friend, Mark (Lisa) Finnell; nieces and nephews, Devon, Brittany and Jacalyn Brown, Ryan, Zachary and Tyler Lantzy, Sarah Baisden, Tiffany and Christopher Brown, Mark and Charlie Cross and Richard and Robert Heine; uncle, Robert Hatfield; godchildren, Javlin, Ryan and Sara Finnell and Shane and Katelyn McPherson; aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to service Friday at Grove City Church of the Nazarene, 4770 Hoover Rd., Grove City, where the funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday. Pastors Jack Norman and Ralph Perdew will be officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden.
Jerry W. Lahrmer
Jerry W. Lahrmer, 49, of Chillicothe, died June 1, 2004, in Adena Hospital. He was born January 3, 1955, in Columbus, the son of Ernest and Betty (Salsbury) Lahrmer.
He was self-employed as an electrician.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest; brother-in-law, Randy Fitzpatrick, and nephew, Joseph Lahrmer. He is survived by his mother, Betty, of Williamsport; wife, Kathy (Hardman) Lahrmer of Chillicothe; children, Jedidiah Lahrmer, Heather Glandon, Michael Smith and Tim Smith, all of Chillicothe; seven grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Lahrmer, of Bysville, Phillip Lahrmer, of Sidney, Joseph Lahrmer, of Williamsport and Scot Lahrmer, of Mason, and sister, Nancy Fitzpatrick, of London.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2004, at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Springlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Atlanta United Methodist Church.
