Billy R. Lucas
Billy R. "Willie" Lucas, of Chillicothe, died July 20, 2003, in Pleasant Hill Manor, Piketon, following an extended illness.
He was born in Fayette Co. WV, son of Benjamin L. and Dorothy King Lucas.
Survivors include his parents, Benjamin and Dana Hill Lucas, of Chillicothe; a brother, Benjamin (Sharon) Lucas, of Columbus; two nephews, Jason and David Arnette, a special cousin, Colleen; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, and a brother, Charles "Chuck" Arnette.
Mr. Lucas worked as a carpenter and with Mills Pride until the onset of his illness. He was an avid, all-weather Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, in the Haller Funeral Home, with Tom Kramer and Edward Montgomery officiating. A graveside service will follow at 12 p.m. in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Hilliard. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Haller's.

William Bob Shields, 68, of Chillicothe, died 1:50 a.m. Monday July, 21, 2003, in Valley View Alzheimers Care Center, following an extended illness.
Marjorie E. Chaney
Marjorie E. Chaney, 68, of Chillicothe, died 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2003, in Southern Ohio Medical Center, Portsmouth, following a short illness.
She was born February 2, 1935, in Ross Co., to the late Leslie T. "Jack" and Pauline F. Newton Edler. On June 26, 1954, she married Howard E. "Joe" Chaney, who survives.
Also surviving are children, Melanie (Murice) Wipert, Marcia Nickels and Howard W. "Howie" Chaney, all of Chillicothe, and Michele "Shelly" Chaney, of Columbus; grandchildren, Joey and Jacob Steele, Christa and Adam Wipert and Jami and Jared Chaney; a great-granddaughter, Layla Steele; brother, Leslie R. (Vera) Edler, of Chillicothe; sisters, Elanore Sager and Ruth A. (Marvin) Payne, all of Chillicothe; many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Carolyn Walls, of Cape Coral, Florida.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2003, in the Ware Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Barry R. Cunningham
Barry R. Cunningham, 54, of Chillicothe, died 10:30 p.m. July 22, 2003, at his residence, following an extended illness. He was born September 12, 1948, in Chillicothe, to Elba R. and Clarice J. Hickman Cunningham. On June 28, 1980, he married the former, Angela R. Ross, who survives.
Also surviving are his son, Bradley R. Cunningham and his friend, Jenny Coward; his mother; his sister, Mary Jane (Charles) Lemaster; brothers, John Cunningham, Thomas (Kimberly) Cunnigham and Jeffrey Cunningham; a half-brother, Richard (Kaye) Cunningham; a half-sister, Judy (Randolph) Digges; his mother-in-law and father-law, Sharon and Lundy Ross; and a sister-in-law, Annette Ross. He was predeceased by his father.
Barry had worked at Thompson Consumer Electronics, Circleville, and served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Friends may call Thursday, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Haller Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

David P. Davidson, 58, of Londonderry (Vinton County), died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Urilla N. Tull
Urilla N. Tull, 92, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Tuesday afternoon, July 22, 2003, in Westmoreland Place, following an extended illness. She was born Nov. 19, 1910, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Claude and Sally Martin Uhrig. She was married Apr. 4, 1936 to John H. Tull, who preceded her in death Oct. 14, 1968.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Josephine Uhrig, Chillicothe; nieces, Geraldine Robbins and Charlene Wilson; nephews, Daniel Uhrig, Clark Uhrig, John Uhrig and Dennis Uhrig, and a host of friends.
Mrs. Tull was retired from the Ohio Division of Forestry. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a devoted 50-year member and Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 419, serving for many years as Secretary, Treasurer and as Star Point Adah.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home, with Rev. Tad Grover officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, with an Order of Eastern Star services at 7 p.m.
Raymond E. Woods
Raymond E. Woods, 92, of Sinking Spring, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at his daughter's residence in Bainbridge.
He was born August 10, 1910, in Pike County, the son of the late James I. and Flora A. (Grooms) Woods.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Thompson; one grandson, John Lynn McElwee; two sisters, Melvina Blackburn and Goldie Eidenier; two brothers, Charles and Cecil Woods.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Pauline and Tom Montgomery, of Bainbridge; two grandsons, Doug and Kathy McElwee, Donald "Babe" and Karen McElwee; two great grandsons, Dereck and Scott McElwee; four great granddaughters, Laura Debrozia, Kara McElwee, Amber McElwee and Amanda McElwee; two great-great granddaughters, Laurel Brooke Debrozia and Brianne Nicole McElwee; one great-great grandson, Grant Alexander McElwee; two cousins, Jessie Woods and Ethel Beavers; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home, in Sinking Spring, with Rev. Homer Swearingen officiating. Burial will follow in the New Fain Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 5 till 8 p.m. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.

Marijo Pieper, 76, of Piketon, died Tuesday, at the Pike Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, at Botkin Funeral Home, in Waverly. Burial will follow in the Mound Cemetery in Piketon. Friends may call on Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Thomas W. Giffin
Thomas W. Giffin, 59, of Circleville, died July 28, 2003, at his residence. He was born July 1, 1944, in Circleville, the son of the late Floyd and Charlotte Rutter Giffin.
He was employed by Landmark Dehydrator for 18 years and was an employee of James Minor for 16 years.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Kris Ann; sons, Ronald and Donald; brothers, Gene and James Giffin; sisters, Shirley Wolfe, Wanda Fausnaugh and nephew, Glenn Giffin. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Hill Giffin, of Circleville; daughters, Karen (James) Greeno, of Stoutsville, Christine (Ralph) Vannatter, of Circleville, Angela (Don Remy) Rittenhouse, of McArthur; son, Thomas (Tammy) Giffin, of Circleville; daughter, Patricia (Rickey) Little, of Circleville; sisters, Florence Giffin, of Circleville, and Mary Lou Pence, of Ashville; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, at the Mader-Peters Funeral Home, Circleville, with Dale R. Minor officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call 10 a.m. to 1 p.m Thursday at the funeral home.
