Robert Burns Curry
Robert Burns Curry, 78, of Frankfort, died at 10:18 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at his residence, following a lengthy illness.
He was born May 18, 1925, in Ross County, to Harry Gibson Curry and Murl Marie (Brust) Curry.
He was a 1943 graduate of Buckskin Valley High School, a retired farmer, a former Buckskin and Greenfield Schools bus driver and a former Buckskin Township clerk. He was a member of the South Salem Presbyterian Church and the Greenfield Antique Tractor Club.
On May 22, 1945, he married Donna Louise (Miner) Curry, who survives. Other survivors include, one daughter, Susan Lee (Byron) Winchell, and one son, Kenneth Robert Curry, all of Frankfort; three grandchildren, Amanda Megan Winchell, Adam Brendan Winchell and Kendra Louise (William) Barnes, all of Columbus; and an aunt, Kathleen Brust Moomaw, of South Salem.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Thelma Miner, and a daughter-in-law, Anna Faye Curry.
Calling hours will be Friday, August 1, from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home, in Greenfield, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday with Pastor Joseph Current officiating. Burial will follow in the South Salem Cemetery.

Lee H. Dumm Jr., 78, of Chillicothe, died 2:35 a.m. July 31, 2003, in the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.
Richard Kuhn
Richard Kuhn, 59, of Bainbridge, died 5:22 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born November 14, 1943, in Madison County, the son of the late Nathan and Eva Miller Kuhn. On June 18, 1966, he married Katie Tackett, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Mark (Jeanie) Kuhn, of Thornville, Marilyn (Terry) Brown, of Bainbridge, and Scott Kuhn, of Bainbridge; seven grandchildren, TJ, Amber, Cassandra, Calob, Morgan, Zachary and William; three brothers and a sister, Nathan Kuhn, Jr., of Urbana, Irene Follis, of Arizona, Sam Kuhn, of North Carolina, and Henry and Cyral Kuhn, both of Bainbridge. He was predeceased by a son, Danny Kuhn, and two sisters.
Richard was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of McKibben Chapel. He also ran Select Blacktop for a number of years and loved everyone who worked for him. Richard was an avid coonhunter and fisherman and a man of many many stories.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Sat. Aug. 2, 2003, at the Smith-Moore Funeral Home, Bainbridge, with Rev. Homer Swearingen officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday (Today) at the funeral home.
Albert H. Moore
Albert H. Moore, 70, of Laurelville, died Wednesday, at Berger Hospital.
Funeral services will be Saturday 11 a.m., at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston. Burial with military honors will follow in the Green Summit Cemetery. Friends may call at Hill's Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Richard H. Nolen
Richard H. Nolen, 96, of McDermott, formerly of the Stockdale Community, died Wednesday, in Woodlawn Care Center, in McDermott.
Funeral services are planned for 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Cox Funeral Home, in Beaver. Burial in Sale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Andrew M. Wade
Andrew M. Wade, 90, formerly of Hopeton Village, died 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2003, in Heartland of Chillicothe, following an illness of several months.
He was born June 16, 1913, in Berea, WV, to the late Clarence and Louise Michael Wade. He was married to Esther Marie Knapp Wade, who died February 11, 1974, and Florence H. Colburn Wade, who survives.
Also surviving are son, Michael A. (Carol) Wade, of Louisville, KY; stepdaughter, Sue (Mel) Shaw, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Gabrielle (Charles) Beck and Christianne Bohanon, all of Richmond, VA, and Andrew, Tyler and Clayton Wade, all of Louisville, KY; a brother, James Wade, of Chillicothe; a sister, Kathryn Hoff, of Delaware, OH; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Ruby Dawson, Edra Brahler and Wanda Dyer; and a brother, Ralph Edward Wheeler.
Andy had been a member of the Walnut Street United Methodist Church for 31 years, a member of FOP and American Legion. He retired February 2, 1972, as a Captain in the Chillicothe Police Department. He was a 1st Sergeant in the US Army during WWII.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2003, in the Ware Funeral Home, with Dr. Dennis Mohler officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.

Edgar Franklin Crabtree
Edgar Franklin Crabtree, age 81, of Monterey, TN, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2003, at Cookville Regional Medical Center, in Cookville, TN. He was born April 3, 1922, in Oak Hill, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Daisy (McCain) Crabtree. Edgar was a retired minister, a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII and a life member of the D.A.V.
Survivors include his wife, Opal (Crace) Crabtree; children, Douglas, of Jackson, Dennis (Penny), of Jackson, Rebecca (Ted) Iaquinta, of Monterey, TN, Fred (Debbie), of Jackson, Mariam "Sally" (Mark) Brumfield, of Crooksville, Ohio, Rolanda "Lana" Murray, of Laurelville, Ohio, and Aaron (Denise), of Chillicothe; 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Warren, Arnold, Rowena Barnhart, all Oak Hill, Alvin, of Florida, Haydon, of Columbus, Billy, of Groveport, Herman, of Jackson, Shellia Harless, of Jackson, and Darrell, of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Gordon and an infant sister, Ester.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2003, at the Old Country Church Tabernacle, State Rt. 93, Oak Hill, with Rev. Raymond Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday (Today) at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home, Oak Hill, Ohio, and from 12 noon until the time of service on Thursday at the church.

Barry R. Cunningham, 54, of Chillicothe, died July 22, 2003, at his residence.

Byron V. Day, 79, of Chillicothe, died 6:05 pm August 3, 2003 in Heartland of Chillicothe, following an extended illness.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Thursday, Rev. James Black, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 pm Wednesday in the Haller Funeral Home, where a Lion's Service will be held at 7:30 pm and a wake service with Rosary will be held at 7:45 pm.

Calvin J. Morrison
Calvin J. Morrison, 59, of Chillicothe, died Monday evening, August 4, 2003, in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Dayton, OH, following an extended illness. He was born April 9, 1944, in Taylorsville, NC, to the late Carl and Melvia Howell Morrison. In 1999, he married the former Nancy M. Cousins, who survives.
Also surviving are his sisters and brother-in-law, Maudine (Calvin) Minnis, Gladys Gehrig and Odessa Morrison, all of Bidwell, OH, and Jeardin Cordell, Gallipolis; brothers, Clayton Morrison, Bidwell, Lee Morrison, Kerr, OH, and Jerry Morrison, Gallipolis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends, including Dennis Wright, Ben Ruggles and Rich Ausec. He was predeceased by sisters, Doris Minnis, Helen Morrison, Grace Alexander and Evelyn Morrison; and brothers, Robert and Charles Morrison.
Mr. Morrison had worked at CCI as a corrections officer. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Era.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2003, at the Haller Funeral Home, with Pastor Calvin Minnis officiating. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Firing Squad will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, at Haller Funeral Home.
