Anna K. Robinson
Anna K. Robinson, 78, of Londonderry, died 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003, in the Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, unexpectedly.
She was born September 10, 1924, in Ross County, to the late Eli Custer and Amy Esther Rogers Fisher.
Surviving are a daughter, Roberta J. (John) Huff, of Londonderry; a son, Emmitt R. Robinson, of Greenfield; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph (Marty) Fisher, of Londonderry; a sister, Eunice (Don) Smith, of Newark, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughters, Emma and Regina Mankin; five brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Vinton County Senior Citizens.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2003, in the Ware Funeral Home, with Rev. H. R. Grimm officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Etta Jeanne (Gossett) Sceva
Etta Jeanne (Gossett) Sceva, 78, of Longboat Key, FL, Bradenton, FL, and Columbus, formerly of Bainbridge, passed away suddenly, Monday, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, where family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Mutual Cemetery in Mutual, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kiwanis Club of Longboat Key Foundation, Longboat Key, FL, in her memory.
Robert 'Ted' Wills
Robert "Ted" Wills, 71, of Chillicothe died 5:50 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2003, at his residence, following an extended illness.
He was born January 18, 1932, in Ross County, to the late Ernest and Delores Speakman Wills. On July 2, 1954, he married the former Sandra Weir, who survives.
Also surviving are children, Larry (Debbie) Wills, of Jackson, Jeff (Kathy) Wills, of Richmond Dale, Mike (Melissa) Wills, of Sewickley, PA, and Diane (Art) Hill, of Londonderry; grandchildren, Chris, Stephanie and Christine; five step-grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; a brother, Ron (Marge) Wills, of Chillicothe; sisters, Nancy (Orval) Gatten and Cindy (Denver) Kingsland, all of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Ernie Wills Jr. and David Wills.
Robert served as a Petty Officer 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and retired from Mead in 1992 where he had worked as a pipefitter for 37 years. He enjoyed his hobby of woodworking. He was a member of the Londonderry United Methodist Church, UPIU Local 731 and United Commercial Travelers.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2003, in the Ware Funeral Home, with Rev. H.R. Grimm officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Ella B. Adkins
Ella Belle Adkins, age 77, of Chillicothe, died at 11:55 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, at Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Aug. 14, 1925, in Ross County, the daughter of the late John and Phoebe Belle Rutter Perdue. Her husband, Earl Adkins, preceded her in death in 1986.
She is survived by three daughters; Cheryl (David) Patterson, of Frankfort, Debbie (Steve) Starling, of Jacksonville, FL, and Lori (Dean) Shrader, of Chillicothe; five sons, Rick (Mary Jo) Smith, of Youngstown, Jeff (Melissa) Clark, of Chillicothe, and Tim, Dick, and Joe. Also surviving are, 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters and two brothers, Nelson Perdue and Lou Perdue.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will not be observed. The Ebright Funeral Home of Frankfort is serving the family.
Pauline Hall
Pauline (Williams/Cousins) Hall, 87, passed from labor to reward on Monday, August 4, 2003, at Mt. Carmel Hospital-East.
She was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, retired LPN and homemaker, past member of LPN District 12, American Legion Auxiliary Post 690, AARP and a founding member of the Delta Dekkers Club.
She was preceded in death by husband, Odell Hall; parents, Archie and Ora (Cousins) Williams; sister, Mary Grace Sockwell, and brothers, Harold, Vimont, James, Harry and Eugene Williams. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted daughter, Carol; granddaughter, Janine; sisters, Marvine Williams and Doris Gassaway, of Waverly; brothers, Kenneth, of Xenia, and Carl, of Bainbridge; special cousin, Lawrence (Hazel) Pritchard, of Columbus; and many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2003, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 428 E. Main Street, where the family will receive friends 10:30 a.m. until start of service. Dr. Charles E. Booth, officiating. At the family's request, there will be no public viewing. Interment Eden Baptist Church Cemetery (Pike County, OH). Rev. Milton Dean and Min. Michael Leonard, officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Service of Columbus, and Smith-Moore Funeral Home, of Bainbridge. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory to the Gloria S. Joseph W. Turner
Joseph W. Turner, 85, of Chillicothe, died Wednesday afternoon in Adena Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home.
Raymond Robert Boring
Raymond Robert Boring, 92, formerly of Brandt, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 8, 2003, at DayView Care Center, New Carlisle, Ohio.
He was born June 30, 1911 in Greenfield, Ohio, the son of Robert and Frances (Pancake) Boring. He was a past member of the IOOF Lodge in Brandt. He retired in 1971 as an electrician from Frigidaire, Dayton, Ohio. He was owner and operator of Ray's Fix It Shop in Brandt. He repaired televisions and small appliances.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Corwin and Edith Boring of New Carlisle, Donald and Carol Boring of South Salem; two daughters, Janice Davenport of New Carlisle, Cheryl Elizondo Troy; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; great-great granddaughter; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Garnet Uhrig of Chillicothe, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Inez Edith (Graves) in 1979; two grandchildren, Randall and Richard Boring; his parents; two brothers, Willard and Guy Boring; two sisters, Mae Keller and Mabel Farmer.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, August 11, 2003, at Londonderry Friends Church, Londonderry with Rev. Roland Albert officiating with a visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial at Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Trostel, Chapman, and Christmas Funeral Home, New Carlisle. Memorial contributions may be made to the DayView Care Center, New Carlisle.
Okie Carter
Okie Carter, Jr., 57, died Thursday, August 7, 2003, at the V.A. Hospital in Charleston, S.C.
He was born November 11, 1945, in Waverly, the son of the late Okie and Ruth Pauley Carter.
He was a local businessman, and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War as a staff sergeant.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth A. Riopko-Carter, one son, Christopher A. Carter on Conway, two stepchildren, Erin E. Riopko of Atlanta, Ga., and Ryan C. Riopko of St. Augustine, Fla., a grandchild, Logan Elizabeth Carter of Aynor, four brothers, Ray, Bruce, Don, Harold, three sisters, Ellen, Janice, and Joyce, all of Ohio.
A private family memorial service will be held at McMillan-Small Funeral Home on Saturday.

Wilbur (Tom) Earley
Wilbur (Tom) Earley, 72, Jamestown, passed away Saturday morning, August 9, 2003, at Kettering Medical Center. He was born April 11, 1931, in Greenfield, the son of Chester A. and Lillie Mae Fitzpatrick Earley. He retired from Ohio Veterans Children's Home in 1995. He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Rose R. (Lafferty) Earley, whom he married December 5, 1950, two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda K. and John Frazier, Kettering, and Kelly Jo and Virgil Carreker, Columbus, brothers, Joseph Earley, Cedarville, and Marion Earley, Chillicothe, sister, Joanne Wilhelm, Xenia, three grandsons, Eric Frazier, Nick Frazier, and Bradley Earley, granddaughter, Shyann Carreker, two great-grandsons, Tyler and Mason Frazier, two step-granddaughters, two step-grandsons, two step-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and close family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Toby.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, at the Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Robert Lee Greene, Jr., 59, of Piketon, died Friday at Pike Community Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday ay Boyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from noon until the time of the service Sunday.

Cheryl Cox, 66, of Greenup, Ky., formerly of Stockdale, died Saturday at her residence.
