Christopher M. Stonerock
Christopher M. Stonerock, 36, of Chillicothe, died 3:43 a.m. Monday, May 31, 2004, in Adena Regional Medical Center, as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born December 7, 1967, in Chillicothe, to Donald R. and Marilyn Sue Speakman Stonerock.
Surviving are his children, Jason Salley, Misty Stonerock, Alexis Stonerock and Jordan Parks, all of Chillicothe; father, Donald and his wife, Vickie Stonerock, of Circleville; a grandson; brothers, Donald Stonerock, of Millersburg and Johnathon (Shawna) Stonerock, of Chillicothe; sisters, Karen (Roger) Trainer, of Richmond Dale and Jerilyn Hand, of Chillicothe; stepbrothers, Macy (Teresa) Whaley, of Las Vegas, NV, and Robert Kennedy, of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2004, in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Janie L. Swisher
Janie L. Swisher, 51, of Chillicothe, died at 1:06 a.m. Monday, May 31, 2004, in Mount Carmel West Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born in Delaware, OH, on Feb. 15, 1953, the daughter of Sam, Sr. and Rosemary Cicolino Tubaugh. On June 25, 1972, she married Donald E. Swisher, Sr. who survives.
Also surviving are her parents, Sam Tubaugh, of Delaware, and Rosemary (Elza "Thumper") Steed, of Delaware; her children, Herman Lee Swisher, of Frankfort, Anna Isabel Goen, of Bourneville, Clara Louise Swisher, Donald Eugene Swisher, Jr. both of Chillicothe, Rosemary Marie Green, of Piketon and Bobby Edward Swisher, of Chillicothe; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Spears, of Delaware, and Debbie Bryant, of Tampa, FL; three brothers, Sam Tubaugh, Jr. and Carl Tubaugh, of Delaware, OH, and David Tubaugh, of Newark. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one brother.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2004, in Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort, with John Creamer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call from noon until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
Roy Williams
Roy Williams, 59, of Clarksburg, died Tuesday afternoon at his home.

Ruth Isabelle Luther
Ruth Isabelle Luther, 86, of Chillicothe, died Friday morning, August 20, 2004, at her residence. She was born May 3, 1918, in Zion, IL, to the late William H. and Clara (Heggen) Farrar. On January 20, 1943, she married Alfred Raymond Luther, who preceded her in death on January 29, 1999.
Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Roberta L. "Bertie" (John) Glasgow, Chillicothe; Ruth Anne Good, Denver, CO; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald E. (Freda) Luther, Stratford upon Avon, England; five grandchildren, Amos (Julie) Good, Amber Good and her friend Dan Plessinger; Ashley Good, and Addison Good, all of Chillicothe; and Amanda (Henry) Luther-Probert, of England; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Evie (Edward) Urbaitis, Franklin, NC; and Joan (James) Murrie, Winter Haven, FL; a former son-in-law and his mother, Richard L. Good and June Good, of Chillicothe. She was also looking forward to the birth of her first great-grandchild on Christmas Day. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Richard Wayne Luther.
Mrs. Luther was a member of the First Wesleyan Church, where a memorial service will be held 5:30 p.m. Wednesday August 25, with Rev. Fred Fox officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 a.m. August 28, 2004, in the North Shore Garden of Memories, North Chicago, IL, with Rev. William Blonn officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Wesleyan Church Missions Fund, 89 S. Mulberry St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home.
Marilyn J. Wagoner
Marilyn J. Wagoner, 70, of Hillsboro, died 2:40 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2004, at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Ohio.
Donald E. Barnett
Donald E. Barnett, 67, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly at his residence.
He was born October 25, 1936, in Ross County, to the late Frank and Mary Isabell Detty Barnett. On July 21, 1984, he married the former Paula Maxine Beeler, who died March 12, 1995.
Surviving are three stepchildren, Jeffrey L. Leach and his sons, Casey and Cody, Jennie Curtis and her children, Derik and Caressa, and Glen (Karen) Leach and their daughter, Lacie, all of Chillicothe; brother, Paul (Vivian) Barnett, of Chillicothe; sisters, Goldie (Beryl) Giffin, of Chillicothe, and Louise (Dwight) Morris, of Delaware, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Bernice Barnett, of Chillicothe, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William F. Barnett; a sister, Helen Detty; and an infant sister, Mabel Barnett.
Mr. Barnett was retired from U.S. Shoe Corp. in 1986. He was an avid bingo player.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2004, in Ware Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Evelyn E. Carver
Evelyn E. Carver, 73, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Monday morning, Aug. 30, 2004, at the residence of her daughter.
She was born Nov. 19, 1930, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Henry and Nina (Park) Taylor. Her husbands, Gerald Skinner and Everett Carver, preceded her in death.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny and Mike Ater, of Chillicothe, Becky and Don Barnhart, of Londonderry and Sandy and Larry Bovard, of Commercial Point; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Sara Skinner, of Chillicothe; a stepdaughter, Vicki and her husband, Ron Dean, of Columbus, and a stepson, Eric and his wife, Karen Carver, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Aaron Barnhart, Rachael, Megan, Lindsey and Tyler Watson, Sam and Elise Bovard and Quinton Skinner; stepgrandchildren, David Dean and Lilyanna Carver; and a special friend, Darrel Massie, of Chillicothe. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Carver retired from Mead Paper in 1990 after many years of service. She was a long-time member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and enjoyed her many church activities.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, in Tabernacle Baptist Church, with Rev. Steven Schmidt officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Thursday. She was a participant in the Ohio University College of Medicine Willed Donation Program.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Adena Health System, 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe, OH 45601. Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home is serving the family.
Donald C. Smith
Donald C. Smith, a devoted husband and father, 83 of Londonderry died 10:55 am, Saturday, August 14, 2004 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born, February 24, 1921 in Ray, OH, the son of the late Henry Albert and the late Ida Victoria Dixon Smith. On February 3, 1946, he married the former Geneva Downs who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Dan Weber, Ashville, and Kathy and Mike Murray, Waverly; one son and late daughter-in-law Steven and Marty Smith, Londonderry; one son-in-law, Wayne McGraw, Circleville; three grandchildren, Travis (Regina) McGraw, Stephanie (Eddie) Butler, and Airman 1st Class Justin Murray; one great granddaughter Holli Ann McGraw; and two brothers Cletis Smith, McArthur and Owen Smith, Tecumseh, MI. 1 daughter, Carol Ann McGraw, 2 sisters, and 8 brothers, preceded him in death.
Mr. Smith was a WW II veteran serving in the US Army, 753rd Railroad Shop Battalion, he faithfully attended Valley Friends Church, he was retired from Wearever after 32 years of service. Donald was an avid mushroom hunter, and took great pride in his lawn and gardening skills.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 am, Wednesday, August 18, 2004 in the Valley Friends Church, on Old Route 50, Londonderry, with Pastors Ed and Clarence Dozer officiating. Burial will follow in Boblett Cemetery. Friends may call at the Fawcett Oliver Glass & Palmer Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday.
David F. Heraldson
David F. Heraldson, 76, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Sunday evening, Dec. 12, 2004 in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe following an extended illness. He was born May 10, 1928 in Circleville, OH, the son of the late Finus and Gladys (Groves) Heraldson. On Dec. 17, 1955 he married Marilyn J. DeLong, who preceded him in death Feb. 6, 2001.
Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Melvin R. and Mary Heraldson, a niece, Debra Wheeler, a great niece, Holly Wheeler, a great great niece, Keari Peoples, and a host of friends, especially Gordon French, Clarence Ware and Sonja Haddox.
David, along with his wife, Marilyn had owned and operated the First Capital Insurance Agency. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral services and calling hours will not be observed.
Harry N. Eyre
Harry N. Eyre, 66, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Sunday evening, Nov. 28, 2004 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born Nov. 17, 1938 in Chillicothe, the son of Robert B. and Ula R. (Windland) Eyre. On Mar. 4, 1961 he married Judith A. Johnson, who survives.
Also surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Gary Damron, Waverly and Hannah and Scott Kuhn, Bainbridge, sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Pam Eyre, Clewiston, FL and Scott and Toni Eyre, Jackson, a special daughter-in-law, Tracey Eyre, Chillicothe, grandchildren, Matthew and Chase Eyre, Scott Eyre, Jr., Kassie Good, Ashley Ralston, Jessica Damron and Jozalyn Kuhn, a sister, Donna Hawkins, Chillicothe, a brother, Robert Eyre, Chillicothe and his guardian angel, Phyllis Bowers, Chillicothe. His parents, a daughter, Rebecca Eyre and brothers, Joseph, Leon and David Eyre preceded him in death.
Mr. Eyre was a U. S. Navy veteran, retiring after 20 years of service. Later, he was an electrician for Martin-Marietta in Piketon, retiring in 1992.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery, with rites by the Ross County Veterans Firing Squad. The family will receive friends at the funeral home form 12 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday.
