Albert Knox, 91, of Chillicothe, died Wednesday in Maumee, Ohio.
Myron Oakley Leist
Myron Oakley Leist, 63, of Circleville, died October 8, 2003, in Grant Hospital. He was born March 23, 1940, in Circleville, the son of Oakley and Inez (Lane) Leist.
He was a member of St. Philips Episcopal Church, Jr. Warden at St. Philips Episcopal Church and was a farmer and self-employed as a fertilizer distributor.
He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother; wife, Ellen (Blue) Leist; sons, William (Kathy) Leist, of Stoutsville, and Brian Leist, of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Cody, Braden and Bethany; brother, Don (Binnie) Leist, of Stoutsville; and sister, Jeannine (Larry) McDowell, of Circleville.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2003, at the St. Philips Episcopal Church, with Father Phillip J. Harris, Father Don Hayes and Dr. Doyne Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday (today) at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Philips Episcopal Church or American Cancer Society.
Stephen C. Minnix
Stephen Clifford Minnix, 55, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Thursday morning, Oct. 9, 2003, in Riverside Medical Center, Columbus, following a brief illness. He was born Nov. 7, 1947, in Clarksburg, the son of Clifford Willard and Delphia Mae Tarlton Minnix.
On Dec. 28, 1999, he married Violet Crabtree, who survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Delphia Mae Minnix; a daughter, Lisa George and a son, Stephen B. Minnix, all of Chillicothe; step-daughters, Christine Rowland, NC, and Annette Shaw, TX; a step-son, Darrell Causey, Chillicothe; grandchildren, Billy and Heather; step-grandchildren, Todd, Brittane and Brandon; a sister, Linda, Chillicothe; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Marly, Lake City, FL, Ronald and Joyce and Gary and Melanie, all of Chillicothe, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His father preceded him in death.
Mr. Minnix was a member of Kingston Lodge 642, F&AM, Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Shrine Temple, Columbus and the Ross County Shrine Club. He was a member of the National Bando Association, the Ohio Military Reserve and was a 3rd degree Black Belt Bando instructor, and was currently serving as a Special Deputy for the Vinton County Sheriff's Department.
He was a member of the Cornerstone Church, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. John Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday (today) where a Masonic Service will be held at 7:45 p.m.

Ralph Overly, 73, of Chillicothe, died Wednesday, in the Chillicothe Veteran's Affairs Medical Center.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ware Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be at a later date to be announced.

Marion D. Swank
Marion D. Swank, 70, of Chillicothe, died Wednesday in VA Medical Center.
Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cox Funeral Home, Beaver. Burial in Hay Hollow Cemetery, with military rites provided by American Legion Post 142, of Waverly. Friends may call at the funeral home, from noon until the time of service.
Howard Rodney Keaton
Howard Rodney Keaton, 71, of Bainbridge, Ohio, a former owner of a local sawmill and logging operations, passed from this life Thursday, October 9, 2003, at his residence. He was born January 1, 1932, in Bainbridge, to the late Sturgill and Leona Blanton Keaton.
Albert F. Knox
Albert F. Knox, 91 of Chillicothe died 8:50 a.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2003, in Maumee, OH, at the home of his niece.
He was born, August 2, 1912, in Hamden, OH, the son of the late Levi and the late Nellie Burley Knox. On September 23, 1938, he married the former Vivian Kincade, who preceded him in death July 17, 1993.
Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kincade Findlay, Ocala, FL, and Edit Kincade, Detroit, MI; four nieces, Cynthia Rutherford, Maumee, OH, Bethann Alexander, Denver, CO, Becky Nason, Sacramento, CA, and Kathleen Collins, Detroit, MI; two nephews, Mark Paul Findlay, Chapin, SC, and Tom Burley, Springfield, OH; 10 great-nieces and nephews, and three great-great-nieces and nephews.
Mr. Knox was a WW II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, a retired B&O Railroad locomotive engineer, a member of the Walnut St United Methodist Church, Scioto Lodge #6 F&AM, York Rite Bodies of Chillicothe, Valley of Columbus, Scottish Rite and the Aladdin Shrine Temple.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2003, in the Fawcett Oliver Glass & Palmer Funeral Home, with Dr Dennis Mohler officiating. Burial will follow in Hamden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, where Masonic services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Aladdin Shrine Temple.
Marcella "Marcy" Merriman
Marcella D. "Marcy" Merriman, 73, of Chillciothe, died 1:52 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2003, in Adena Regional Medical Center following a short illness.
She was born March 21, 1930 in Ross Co. to the late E.H. and Helen Williams Curtis. She was married to William Merriman who died December 20, 1976.
Surviving are a son, Rockford D. "Rocky" (Suanne) Merriman with whom she lived; two brothers, Donald (Beverly) Curtis of Chillicothe and Paul Eugene (Mary) Curtis of Winter Haven, Florida; daughter-in-law, Jill Merriman of Chillicothe; sister-in-law, Louise Curtis of West Palm Beach, Florida; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Geraldine Page, of Chillicothe. Marcy was predeceased by a son, William Richard Merriman; and a brother, Harold Curtis.
She was the former owner and operator of Marcy's Beauty Shop.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, October, 14, 2003, in Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Friends may call at the Ware Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Sondra Wise, 57, of Chillicothe, died Thursday afternoon at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born June 2, 1946 in Ross Co. to Carl E. and Barbara A. Reeves Jones.
In addition to her mother, of Chillicothe, she is survived by children, Michael K. Kaltenbach, Brian A. (Angie) Kaltenbach and Penny (Jake) Workman, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Jeremy, Chaz, Brittany and Tiffany Kaltenbach, Leksi and Quade Kaltenbach, Karissa, Kayleigh and Tyler Workman; brother, Danny (Janan) Jones, of Chillicothe; a niece, Tami; and nephews, Greg and Casey. She was predeceased by her father.
Sondra was employed by U.S. Shoe and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 600 and Loyal Order of Moose 1626.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Monday, October, 13, 2003, in Ware Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Virginia 'Ginny' C. Bell
Virginia "Ginny" C. Bell, 77, of Waverly died Wednesday at the Bristol Convalescent Center in Waverly. Funeral services are 7 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Cleveland.

Wayne E. Daniels
Wayne E. Daniels, 46, of Chillicothe, died Friday, October 10, 2003 at his residence unexpectedly.
He was born June 15, 1957, in Greenfield, OH to Roy and Goldie Lansing Daniels. On October 2, 1980, he married the former Karen F. Johnson who died August 12, 2003.
In addition to his mother, Goldie, of Kingston, he is survived by brothers, Leroy (Alma) Daniels and Mike (Nancy) Daniels, all of Kentucky, Russell Daniels and Roger (Debbie) Daniels, all of Chillicothe and Dick (Nardine) Daniels, of Maryland; sisters, Marjorie (Steve) Harvey, of Stoutsville, OH and Carolyn (Jeff) Uhrig, of Kingston, OH; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his father, Roy and a nephew, Billy Daniels.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2003 in the Ware Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Clausen officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
