Elizabeth A. Music
Elizabeth A. Music, 85, of Chillicothe, died 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2003, in Westmoreland Place, following a short illness.
She was born June 14, 1918, in Ross Co., to the late Louis and Faye Neff Hamm. On October 30, 1937, she married Harry J. Music, who survives.
Also surviving are children, Barbara (Damon) Shaw, of Puyallup, Washington, Janice (Harold) Elliott, of Chillicothe, and Becky (Phillip) Thorne, of Rockford, Illinois; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Janie Music, of Cincinnati, and Donna Music, of Dayton. She was predeceased by sons, Richard and Harry Lee Music and a sister, Ruth Bell.
Mrs. Music was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2003, in Ware Funeral Home, with Pastor Dwayne Gibson officiating. Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Ina Marie Nichols
Ina Marie Nichols, 79, of Greenfield, died Tuesday, at Clinton Memorial Hospital, Wilmington.
Funeral services will be noon Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, at Smith-Moore Funeral Home, Bainbridge.
Burial will be in Cynthiana Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday, at the funeral home.
Deborah Kay Osborn
Deborah Kay Osborn, 45, of Wilson Run Road, Chillicothe, OH, died Tuesday, November 4, 2003, at Pike Community Hospital Emergency Room.
She was born May 12, 1958, in Chillicothe, OH, the daughter of the late Warren G. Hafer and Flora (Ratliff) Noel of Chillicothe, OH. On May 3, 1975, she was united in marriage to Richard Michael Osborn, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Michael Paul Osborn, of Chillicothe, OH; two daughters, Jennifer (Jonathan) Johnson, of Chillicothe, OH, and Christina (Richard) Adams, of Kingston, OH; six grandchildren, Corey and Hayden Johnson, Nathan and Kara Adams, Michael Osborn and Sheena Brewer; two sisters, Geraldine Noel and Diana Hadlock, both of Chillicothe, OH.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Deborah was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2003, at Boyer Funeral Home, in Waverly, OH, with Brother Lloyd Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in Omega Cemetery.
Friends may call at Boyer Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2003, and from 9 a.m. until the service hour on Friday.
Richard V. 'Dick' Smith
Richard V. "Dick" Smith, 77, of Stoutsville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at Pickaway Manor, in Circleville.
He was born October 9, 1926, in Stoutsville, and was the son of the late Charles Edwin and Gertrude Irene Vickers Smith. He was a 1964 graduate of Wittenberg College and was a member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church, in Stoutsville. He was a WW II veteran serving in the U.S. Army Air Force.
Dick was a former teacher at Centralia-Zane Trace High School, for 16 years, where he as the Jr. High basketball coach, for eight years and the varsity coach for four years. He was the High School Principal at Amanda Clearcreek, until his retirement in 1978. He served on the A-C board of education from 1981 until 1989. He served as the county supervisor for Pickaway County Schools for four years.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Treisch Smith; three sons, Barry Dean (Nancy) Smith, of Whitehall, Dane Allen (Mary) Smith, of St. Petersburg, FL, and Brent Richard (Joy) Smith, of Stoutsville; one daughter, Saundra (Lynn) Overstake, of Scottsdale, AZ; eight grandchildren and one brother, Keith (Lorena) Smith, of Gainesville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Taylor Funeral Home, in Amanda. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, in Stoutsville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or the Clear Creek Twp. E.M.S.
Scott E. Wilburn
Scott E. Wilburn, 44, of Las Vegas, NV, died unexpectedly at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2003, at his residence.
Roger W. Benner
Roger W. Benner, age 86, of Dublin, OH, formerly of Bainbridge, died Thursday, November 6, 2003 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born January 18, 1917, in Xenia to the late Creighton and Julia Benner. Roger was a member of Bainbridge Presbyterian Church, serving as treasurer for 23 years and also as Elder and Deacon. He was a Paint Township Trustee, member of Farm Bureau, IFYE, Republican Party and Bainbridge Senior Citizens. He was also a Sunday School teacher for many years.
Delbert 'Buss' Carter
Delbert "Buss" Carter, 79, of Bainbridge, died 12:54 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2003 at his residence. He was born December 28, 1923 in Highland County, the son of the late Wilbur E. and Nettie W. White Carter, Sr. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Wilbur and Martha Carter, Jr. of Bainbridge, and nine nieces and nephews.
He was preceeded in death by a sister, Maxine Player.
There will be a memorial service held at a later date. Arrangements are being competed by Smith-Moore Funeral Home, Bainbridge.

Ella Elizabeth (Ranck) Richardson Cassill, 86, of Hearth and Care Nursing Facility, Greenfield, formerly of Cheyenne Drive, Chillicothe, passed from this life at 7:39 p.m. on November 5, 2003.

Christopher James Clontz, 32, of Piketon died 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Pike Community Hospital, Waverly.

J. Alfred Immell, 81 of Chillicothe, died 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, at his residence following an extended illness. Arrangements are pending at Ware Funeral Home.

Emalie Berniece Doyle, infant daughter of BM3 Jason and Angelica Musilli Doyle of Virginia Beach, VA died Monday, November 3, 2003, in Portsmouth Naval Hospital, Virginia.
Mary Gunlock-Patrie
Mary Gunlock-Patrie, 92 Sarasota, died Oct. 8, 2003.
She was born Sept. 13, 1911, in Texas, Ky., and came to Sarasota in 1975 from Chillicothe, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Shores Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill H. Patrie; and daughters Melissa J. Gunlock and Carole A. Gunlock, both of Sarasota.
Services will be later. Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home, Sarasota, is in charge.

Dustin R. Sherrick
Dustin R. Sherrick, 11 years old, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, in Childrens Hospital as the result of an accident. He was born Feb. 21, 1992, in Scioto County. Arrangements are pending at the Cox Funeral Home in Beaver, OH.
