Dewey Roush III, 55, of Chillicothe, died early Wednesday morning at his residence.
Kenneth B. Johnson
Kenneth B. Johnson, 62 of Frankfort passed from this life on Saturday at 4:15 a.m. at home after an extended illness.
He is survived by his parents, 5 children, 2 step children, a brother, 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is set for Wednesday, December 10 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Home in Trotwood. Burial in Cedar Hills Cemetery will follow visitation.
Mildred R. Boltenhouse
Mildred R. "Peggy" Bolten-house, 86, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Tuesday morning, Dec. 9, 2003, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 18, 1917, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Joseph and Corrie Mae Rinehart Oyer. On May 17, 1935, she married Lawrence T. Bolten-house, who preceded her in death Apr. 20, 1983.
Surviving is her brother, Dale M. Oyer, Chillicothe; a special nephew, Dale Oyer, with whom she resided; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, sisters, Virginia Cory and Garnet Woodyard; and a brother, Joseph Oyer, Jr., preceded her in death.
Mrs. Boltenhouse was a member of the Ross County Humane Society and had a special fondness for animals.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the hour of service on Thursday.
Phyllis Beody James
Phyllis Beody James, 84, of Piketon, died early Tuesday at her residence.
Graveside services are planned for 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Mound Cemetery, Piketon.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Beaver.
Clarence Justice
Clarence Justice, 57, of Chillicothe, died Monday, December 8, 2003, at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born March 24, 1946, in Harrison Twp., Vinton County, the son of the late Isaac and Viola Seymour Justice.
He is survived by brothers and sisters, Floyd (Rosemary) Justice and Edna (Donald) Smith, of Londonderry, Harold (Connie) Justice and Majel (Dennis) Eddlement, of TN, Wayne (Carol) Justice, of Ray, and Donald (Mary) Justice, of Amanda. Special nephew, Darrell (Shelly) Justice, of Londonderry. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Crowe.
Graveside funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Boblett Cemetery, with Rev. Ed Dozer officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Garrett Funeral Home, McArthur.
Douglas D. Skellett
Douglas D. Skellett, of Zephyr Hills, Fla., died Sunday at his home after an illness.
A memorial service will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at Kingston Church in Christian Union, Third Street, Kingston.

William G. 'Gordy' Bowman
William G. "Gordy" Bowman, 66, of Brady Hill Road, died 12:55 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2003, at his residence following a short illness.
He was born January 23, 1937, in Ross County, to the late William O. and Grace Ward Bowman. On September 27, 2003, he married the former Bernie L. Bush, who survives.
Also surviving are stepchildren, Steve (Trudy) Barnhart, Glen (Carrie) Barnhart, Rick (Sandy) Barnhart and Kathy (Joe) Sheets, all of Chillicothe, Bill (Brenda) Barnhart, of Jackson and Beverly (John) Holloway, of Springfield; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann (Cecil) Bowman Clemmons and Maxine Lawhorn, all of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, including Clint and Judy Ford, all of Chillicothe. He was predeceased by brothers, Oliver Ward, James Richard and Harold Dean Bowman and a sister, Helen Louise Park.
Gordy retired from the Chillicothe City Schools where he had worked for 31 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1626, Ross County Conservation League and was a longtime member of F.O.E. Aerie 600.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2003, in Ware Funeral Home, with Rev. Ron Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Dolores J. 'Dee' Cartee
Dolores J. "Dee" Cartee, 65, of Chillicothe, died Wednesday morning, December 10, 2003, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born May 20, 1938, in Pensacola, FL, to Herbert and Frances Burchell Trego Julian. On January 25, 1965, she married Roy "Kenny" Cartee who died September 27, 1986.
Surviving are her mother, Frances (Lloyd) Trego, of Chillicothe; a daughter, Debra (Tim) Horsley, of Newark, OH; a son, Bubber "Bub" (Cassie Bower) Wright, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Stephanie and David Horsley, Tabatha Vincent and Jeremy Wright; a great-grandson, Isaac Wright; brothers, Herbert O. Julian, Jr., of Chillicothe and Michael (Reggie) Trego, of Worthington, OH; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Herbert Julian and a daughter, Melodi Vincent.
Dolores was a former employee of the American Legion Post 62 and was an auxiliary member of Post 62.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2003 in Ware Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Martha F. Justice
Martha F. Justice, age 83, of Circleville, died Tuesday, December 9, 2003, at Pickaway Manor Care Center. She was born December 21, 1919, in Ross County, daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Reed) Rittenhouse.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert E. Justice; daughter, Jackie Hopper; brothers, Sam, Tom and John Rittenhouse. She is survived by her daughters, Maxine Clifton, of Circleville, and Carol Bliss, of Mt. Sterling; sons, Max (Colleen) Justice, of Good Hope, Ohio, and Tom (Debbie) Justice, of Covington, Ohio; grandchildren, Polly (Brian) Robinson, of Chillicothe, Lee (Marie) Chester, of Covington, KY, Robin (Aaron) Ridenour, of Mt. Sterling, Ronda (Bill) Alspaugh, of Sedalia, Lisa (Todd) Marvin, of Orient, Andy (Kelli) Jacobs, of Grove City, Johanna Justice, of Covington, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Bryan, Kayla, Hannah and Hailey Robinson, Nick and Peyton Cutlip, Austin Ridenour, Kyle Alspaugh, Stephanie Marvin, Wallace and Kennedi Jacobs; brothers, Steve Rittenhouse, of Frankfort, Teddie Rittenhouse, of Circleville, and Donald Rittenhouse, of Circleville; sisters, Jane Reynolds, of Chillicothe, Ollie Roe, of Circleville, and Luella Davis, of Clarksburg.

Emma Doris Patterson Winkler, 88, widow of Paul J. Winkler, died Sunday, December 7, 2003, in Hilton Head Hospital, Hilton Head, SC, after a long illness. She was born in Greenup, KY, on April 17, 1915, daughter of the late Robert Patterson and Sally Patrick Patterson.
