Harvey E. Rawlins Sr.
Harvey E. Rawlins Sr., 57, of Jefferson S.C., formerly of Chillicothe, died Friday, December 12, 2003.
He was born January 25, 1946 in Bloom Township, Scioto County, Ohio, a son of the late Harold Richard Rawlins and Luella Maurita Slack.
He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Rawlins and Linda Miller; one son, Harvey Rawlins Jr.; one brother, Howard Rawlins; one sister, Betty Justice; five grandchildren, Anthony Miller, Justin Miller, Kayla Rawlins, Jeffrey Hannah and Shawn Hannah.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Rawlins and one sister, Patty Adams.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at D.W. Davis Funeral Home in South Webster with Wendell Combs, minister, officiating. Interment will be in South Webster Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday prior to services Tuesday at D.W. Davis Funeral Home.

Earl W. Alexander
Earl W. Alexander, age 65, of Chillicothe, died at 10:44 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus. He was born July 12, 1938, in Ross County, the son of the late Ernest and Opal Ater Alexander. On Dec. 24, 1959, he married the former Bertha Lowry, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Patty (Tim) Raines and Margie (Steve) Chaffin, all of Chillicothe, and Randy and Renee Lutz, who grew up with the family and were special friends; 11 grandchildren, Beth, Doug, Michelle, Gina, Arriane, Scott, Jenny, Marcia, Nathan, Brian and Courtney; six great-grandchildren, Makayla, Madison, Bayleigh, Taylor, Jonathan and Ryan; two sisters, Linda Fay, of West Virginia, and DeeDee Shull, of New Holland; half sisters, Helen Sweet, of Tucson, AZ, Ethel Carroll, of Chillicothe, and Marie; a brother, Harold Alexander, of Chillicothe; and a half brother, Joe Alexander, of California. Earl was preceded in death by a daughter, Opal; three sons, Ernie, Keith and Robert; a step-daughter, Ellen; step-son, Danny, and three half brothers, Carl and Tom Alexander and Kenny Walls.
Earl had worked at the VA Hospital in Chillicothe. He had worked most of his life as a mechanic and was a successful businessman. He was an avid NASCAR fan.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort, with Rev. Jack Norman and Rev. Clarence Schirm officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to assist the family with funeral expenses, in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 264, Frankfort, OH 45628.

Viola L. 'Lola' Chapman
Viola L. "Lola" Chapman, 81, of Richmond Dale, died 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2003, in Heartland of Chillicothe, following an extended illness.

Foster T. Easterday
Foster T. Easterday, 76, of Chillicothe, died Monday, in the Adena Regional Medical Center.
Arrangements are pending at the Ware Funeral Home.

Beth Louise Ewry
Beth Louise Ewry, 39, of Bainbridge, died 2:35 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2003, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe.
She was born June 14, 1964, in Ross County, the daughter of John F. and Geneva R. Smith Ewry.
She is survived by her parents; two brothers, Victor (Diane) Ewry and John G. (Michele) Ewry; two sisters, Annett (James) McAllister and Rosalie C. Ewry; one niece, Victoria and one nephew, Victor II; three step nieces, and one step nephew, and several aunts and uncles.
Beth was a member of the Bainbridge Assembly of God.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2003, at the Bainbridge Church of Christ, with Pastor Thomas Hughes officiating. Burial in Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements by Smith-Moore Funeral Home, Bainbridge.

Evelyn M. Keller
Evelyn Mae (Felts) Keller, 73, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord December 14, 2003. She was born December 22, 1929, in Johnson City, TN, to Jesse and Almeta (Vaughn) Felts.
She was married to James Elmer Russell Keller, who preceded her in death on April 4, 1969.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Mona Keller and Danny and Kim Keller; her daughter, Dollie Kuhn; a brother, Bob Felts; brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Edna Felts; and a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Thomas Sullivan; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews in both Ohio and Tennessee. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, a daughter, Peggy Keller Johnson; brothers, Junior, Bill, Harlen, James and Leonard Felts; and sisters, Brenda Hamlin, Mildred Felts and Helen Felts.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, at the Haller Funeral Home, with Rev. Glenn Newland officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. In accordance with her wishes, private calling hours will be at the convenience of the family at Haller Funeral Home.
The Keller family would like to thank Twin Twp. Rescue Squad, all of the doctors and nurses, all of the friends, neighbors and family for all of the love, help and prayers during Evelyn's illness. We really appreciate it.

George W. Magill
George W. Magill, 89, of Chillicothe, died Sunday afternoon, Dec. 14, 2003, in Adena Regional Medical Center.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in Londonderry Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed. The Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home is serving the family.

Helen Murray
Helen Murray, 74, of Chillicothe, died Monday afternoon, in Westmoreland Place.
Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home.

Richard J. Stockdale
Richard J. Stockdale, 60, of Chillicothe, died 8:45 p.m. Sunday, in the Cincinnati Veterans Affair Medical Center, following an extended illness.

Lois Jean Swepston
Lois Jean Swepston, age 63, of Laurelville, died Monday, December 15, 2003, at Adena Regional Hospital, in Chillicothe. She was born February 4, 1940, in Laurelville, daughter of the late Edgar M. and Hattie L. (Poling) Karr. She was well known as a waitress at the Village Café, in Laurelville. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and a member of the "Lois" Club. She was a scorekeeper at Logan Elm and in Laurelville for 32 years and is a member of the Logan Elm Basketball Hall of Fame.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne "Pete" Swepston; infant daughter, Beth Ann Swepston. She is survived by her daughter, Lesley (Randy) Hinton, of Laurelville; grandchildren, Karley and Rowdy Hinton; sister, Anne Rooney, of Laurelville; brother, John (Ginger) Karr, of Kingston; several nieces and nephews, as well as many, many friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2003, in the chapel of the Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with Dr. Doyne N. Wiggins and Rev. Raymond Welch officiating. Interment to follow at Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Friends may make memorial contributions to Hospice and Health Services of Hocking County, 1111 E. Main St., Lancaster, OH 43113 or Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts of Vinton County, c/o the funeral home in her memory.

Janice L. Terry
Janice L. Terry, 65, of Columbus, formerly of Chillicothe, died at 11:40 a.m. Monday, at her residence, following an extended illness.
Arrangements are being completed by the Haller Funeral Home.

Floyd S. Woods
Floyd S. Woods, 88, of S.R. 124, Piketon, died Saturday, December 13, 2003, at the Pleasant Hill Manor, in Piketon. He was born on June 4, 1915, in Pike County, Ohio, to the late John and Maggie Palmer Woods.
He was united in marriage on August 17, 1942, to Hazel F. Satterfield, who preceded him death on June 4, 2002. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Elliott, of Waverly, and Sharon Ackley, of Lockbourne, OH; six grandchildren, Cynthia (Art) Hughes, Kevin (Diana) Ackley, Heath Ackley, Shannon (Marissa) Elliott, Meka (Randall) McClay and Lynaya Elliott; three great grandchildren, Miranda and Connor Hughes and Brooke Ackley, and two step great grandchildren, Leslie and Alison Shepherd. He was preceded in death by a son, Vernon Dean Woods, and a brother, Eugene Woods.
Mr. Woods was a retired Equipment Operator with over 30 years of service, a member of the Operating Engineers Union-Local #18, attended the Beavers Chapel Church, and was a U.S. Army W.W.II veteran.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Beavers Chapel Church, with Rev. Casey McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in the White Oak Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Botkin Funeral Home, in Waverly, and from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the church on Wednesday.
