TROY - Gordon R. Penney, 80, of Troy, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at his son's home in Brookville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Burial will be in Miami Memorial Park of Covington. Memorial Honorguard services will be held at the graveside.

GREENVILLE - Doris A. Crumrine, 59, 3520 Hollansburg-Arcanum Road, Greenville, died at 3 p.m. Aug. 12, 2003, at Wayne Hospital.
The funeral is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Kyle Herrmann officiating. Burial will be in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.

ANNA - Joe W. Rimmer, 72, 206 Linkensmith Drive, Anna, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at Wilson Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Northtowne Church of God, with the Revs. Kenneth Ellis and Merle Laws officiating. Burial will be in Pearl cemetery in Swanders.

Robert P. Kaufman, M.D.
Died: Monday, August 11, 2003
Age: 74
Robert P. Kaufman, M.D., 74, of Sidney, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at 10:14 a.m. at Kettering Medical Center. He was born June 9, 1929, in Sikeston, Mo., to the late Charles and Trecy (Valentine) Kaufman. He maried Onnalee McGillvary on June 24, 1950, in Troy, and she survives.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home in Piqua with Pastor Peter Doseck officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park in Covington with full military honors provided by Piqua VFW Post 4874. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Paul L. Leis, 73, 701 Campbell Road, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Aug. 11 at 4 p.m. at the Pavilion Nursing Home.

Arline M. Kelly, 81, 1841 Shawnee Drive, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Dorothy Love Retirement Community.
Services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home by the Rev. Harold McKnight. Burial will be in Miami Memorial Park cemetery, Covington.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of the services at the funeral home.
Donald L. Jackson
Died: Monday, August 11, 2003
Age: 78
CRIDERSVILLE - Donald L. Jackson, 78, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at 5:05 p.m. in Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 27, 1924, in Shelby County, the son of the late Hamer and Hazel Shipman Jackson.
He was previously married
to Lee Gritzmaker.
Survivors include longtime companion, Claudia Garee of Cridersville; his stepmother, Emily Jackson of Jackson Center, three daughters, Stephania and her husband, Tom, Keller of Bristol, Va., Darcy Flores and her significant other, Patrick Barthel of Cleveland and Julie and her husband, Gary, Fought of Lima; two brothers and their wives, Hamer Jr. and Mary Jackson of Jackson Center and Tom and Maria Jackson of Columbus; seven sisters and their spouses, Mary Grace and Harold Brelsford of Sidney, Eileen Wildermuth of Sidney, Peggy and Bob Barker of Pine Island, Fla., Jo and Dick Regula of Jackson Center, Ann Haynesworth of Baltimore, Md., Sue and David Deam of Springhill, Fla., and Rachel and Carl Gillespie of Bellefontaine, and five grandchildren and one great grandson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Chester Jackson, and two sisters, Thelma Comer and Dorothy Richards.
Mr. Jackson had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 96 in Lima.
He had been owner of D.J.'s Lounge in Cridersville for 22 years and was a manager for canteen vending for 20 years.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Cridersville Rescue Squad.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The Bayliff and Son Funeral Home in Cridersville is in charge of arrangements.
Kenneth Lee Risse
Died: Monday, August 11, 2003
Age: 57
MINSTER - Kenneth Lee Risse, 57, of Dorothy Drive, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at 1:05 p.m. in Heritage Manor Nursing Center. He had been serious ill for three years.
He was born Dec. 3, 1945, in Hamilton. His parents Marguerite (Simpson) and Melvin Risse of Falmouth, Ky., and family, Delbert Risse and Larry Allee of Cincinnati, survive.
He is also survived by his beloved companion, Mary Ellen Sullivan, of Minster and her family, Ray and Joan Crowell and children, Sam, Abbie, Ben and Gabe Crowell, all of Beavercreek.
Mr. Risse was a member of Mt. Olivet Masonic Lodge, the Ohio Society of CPA's and the American Society of CPA's.
He was an alumni of the University of Cincinnati.
He was a CPA with Risse, Meiring and Company Inc. in Fort Loramie.
He enjoyed tournament fishing and golf.
In keeping with Mr. Risse's personal wishes, his body will be cremated prior to services. A memorial service will be announced at a later date to take place in his home town of Bright, Ind. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. in Gehret Funeral Home, State Route 362 Elm St., Fort Loramie.
