SUMMERFIELD, Fla. - Evelyn N. McClure, 70, 9442 S. East 174 Place Road, Summerfield, Fla., died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at 10:15 a.m. at her residence.
She was born Feb. 1, 1932, in Elkhart, Ind., the daughter of Bert and Mabel (Ules) Kemble, who preceded her in death.
On Oct. 9, 1971, she married
H. Lowell McClure, who survives.
She is also survived by two step- daughters in Elmhurst, Ill., Mrs. Terry (Hona) Horler and Mrs. Lani Condon; a sister, Wilma Walters of Plymouth, Ind. and one step-grandchild.
Mrs. McClure was retired as a self-employed accountant. She was Presbyterian. The family once lived in Sidney, Mrs. McClure visited Sidney and will be buried in the same cemetery with other family members.
The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Cromes Funeral Home, with Rev. Ellis Hackler officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday at noon until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Scott A. Gray
Died: Friday, January 10, 2003
Age: 45
NEWARK - Scott A. Gray, 45, died Friday, Jan. 10. 2003, in his residence.
Born May 13, 1957, in Salem, Mass., he was the son of Bill and Mary Lou Smith Gray of Sidney.
Survivors include a brother, William E. Gray III of Colorado Springs, Colo., and a sister Linda Cannizzaro of Pataskala, Ohio.
His grandparents preceded him in death.
He was an auto mechanic and millwright.
A memorial service will be held at the Redeemer Lutheran Church at 1 p.m. on Thursday with the Rev. Ken Castor officiating. There will be a private burial and there will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice or to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
The Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, Newark, is in charge of arrangements.
David Lee Bell
Died: Tuesday, February 11, 2003
Age: 65
PIQUA - David Lee Bell, 65, of Piqua, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at 11:35 a.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.
He was born July 5, 1937, in Piqua, the son of Clarence E. and Ruth M. (Oelslager) Bell.
On June 6, 1981, he married
Antoinette L. (Wion) Bell, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Doug L. Bell of Minster and Eric J. Bell of Sidney; two daughters, including Mrs. David (Tanya) Deitsch of New Knoxville; four grandchildren; two brothers; and a sister.
Mr. Bell had been employed at Piqua Engineering, French Oil Mill Machinery Co. and more recently at Crane Pumps Co.
Services are planned for Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home in Piqua, with elder Robert L. Deitsch officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery, Piqua.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Anna M. Burke
Died: Tuesday, February 11, 2003
Age: 78
PIQUA - Anna M. Burke, 78, of Piqua, formerly of Sidney, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at 9:09 a.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.
She was born Feb. 23, 1924, in Sidney, the daughter of James F. and Grace (Tunks) Briggs.
In 1941 she married
Milton Martin, who died May 30, 1960. In 1970 she married
Donald Burke. He died Sept. 14, 1994.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Grace) Bynum of Piqua; a son, Scott Martin of Piqua; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Mrs. Burke was a graduate of Sidney High School. She attended Family of Grace United Methodist Church of Piqua.
Services are set for Friday at 2 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home in Piqua, with Dr. Dennis Miller officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Point cemetery, Pasco.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
Victor William Holthaus
Died: Tuesday, February 11, 2003
Age: 81
FORT LORAMIE - Victor William Holthaus, 81, Basinburg Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at 11:44 a.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton following a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 25, 1921, in Fort Loramie, the son of Caroline (Prenger) and Bernard Holthaus.
He is survived by three brothers, Lester Holthaus and Anthony Holthaus, both of Fort Loramie, and Bernard Holthaus of Anna, and a sister, Catherine Holthaus of Fort Loramie.
Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Holthaus retired from farming in 1986. He attended St. Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie and was a member of St. Joseph Men's Sodality and Apostleship of Prayer at the church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church Saturday at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Al Reed officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's cemetery, Fort Loramie.
Friends may call at Gehret Funeral Home of Fort Loramie Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Margaret L. Roth

Age: 74
TROY - Margaret L. "Peg" Roth, 74, 1190 Crestview Drive, formerly of Sidney, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at 1 a.m. at Miami Valley Hospital following a short illness.
She was born Oct. 25, 1928, in DeGraff, the daughter of Lawrence Jenkins and Muriel (Hudson) Jenkins.
On Sept. 8, 1947, she married
Jack E. Roth, who survives.
Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Dan (Vickie) Amburn of Troy, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A son and a brother preceded her in death.
Mrs. Roth was a retired secretary with Stouder Memorial Hospital. Later she worked at the chaplains' agency and Miami County Hospice. She attended Sidney First United Methodist Church.
Services are planned for Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Cromes Funeral Home, with the Rev. Allen Marheine officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Point cemetery, Pasco.

Estella C. Liesner
Died: Monday, February 10, 2003
Age: 96
MINSTER - Estella C. Liesner, 96, 24 N. Hamilton St., died Monday Feb. 10, 2003, at 4:55 a.m. in Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
Born March 25, 1906, in Maria Stein, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Catherine Vehorn Rolfes.
On Feb. 17, 1925, she married
Lawrence Wissman. He died July 13, 1947.
On June 24, 1952, she married
Urban (Hap) Liesner. He died May 5, 1983.
Survivors include three sons, James C. Wissman of St. Petersburg, Fla., John B. Wissman of Prairie Village, Kan., and Jerome Wissman of Minster; one sister, Hilda Thobe of St. Marys, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Liesner was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster. She was a charter member of the Knights of St. John Auxiliary. She was a member of the St. Monica Ladies Sodality, the Eagles Auxiliary 1391, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
She was a homemaker.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Catholic Church, with the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mercer or Darke County Hospice.
Almira G. Miller
Died: Monday, February 10, 2003
Age: 84
Almira G. Miller, 84, 2422 Armstrong Drive, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at 1:27 a.m. in her residence.
Born Nov. 5, 1918, in Jackson Center, she was the daughter of the late H. Clay Hughes and Grace Allen Hughes.
On Sept. 21, 1940, she married
Homer L. Miller. He survives.
She and her husband moved to Bloom Center until retiring when they moved to Sidney in 1980. The lived a part of those years in New Port Richey, Fla., until 1995.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert J. (Grace) Fries of Line Lexington, Pa., and Mrs. William J. (Rebecca A.) Wilber of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Marian Goodin of Casstown, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
One sister preceded her in death.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Rum Creek United Methodist Church in Quincy. She was a member of the Homemakers Club and served as president for many years.
In 1936 she graduated from Jackson Center High School. She worked at Pioneer Rural Electric and Copeland Corp. She was the school secretary at Washington Local School for many years and also served as school board secretary.
Her hobbies included playing the piano, reading, traveling, crocheting and sewing.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Adams Funeral Home, with the Rev. Seeyoung Lee officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Point cemetery in Pasco.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
