JACKSON CENTER - Mary A. Kitchen Miars, 74, of Jackson Center died Monday, July 14, 2003 at 3:39 a.m. in St. Rita's Medical Center.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday in Maplewood United Methodist Church. Pastor William Halter will conduct the service. The cremated remains will be buried in Cedar Point cemetery, Pasco.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday.

PIQUA - Maurice "Dud" Penrod, 82, of 1105 Maplewood Drive, Piqua, died at 9:27 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2003, in the Upper Valley Medical Center.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Richard Culp officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill cemetery where full military honors will be presented by the V.F.W. Post No. 4874. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home where a Masonic Lodge service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.

ST. MARYS - Walter Aufderhaar, 88, of 320 Market St., died Sunday, July 13, 2002, at 2:08 a.m. in his residence.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's United Church of Christ with the Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Pilger Ruhe cemetery in New Knoxville. Friends may call at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 W. High St. from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

ASHTABULA - Harold R. Edminson, age 89 of Youngstown, Ohio (formerly of Fletcher) died Saturday, July 12, 2003, at 9:03 a.m. in Carington Park, Ashtabula.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2003, in the Piqua Church of Christ, 3969 W. St. Rt. 185, Piqua. Funeral services will begin at noon with Associate Pastor Scott VanDyke presiding.
Burial will follow in Fletcher cemetery, Fletcher, Ohio. Military services will be offered by VFW Post No. 4874. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans. Abdiel J. Creager on June 5, 1948, in Piqua; and he survives.
