LUGINBILL
Clara Louise Luginbill, 70, of Willshire, died at 11:22 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2002, at Van Wert County Hospital. She was born September 12, 1932, in New Corydon, Ind., the daughter of the late Mike and Idora (Luttman) Schott. On February 22, 1958, she married Kenneth Leroy Luginbill, who survives.
Mrs. Luginbill was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ near Rockford.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Ruth A. (Charles) Whitten of Willshire; two sons, (Jeff (Sara) Luginbill of Willshire and Scott (Jill) Luginbill of Rockford; a sister, Joyce (Don) Shiveley of Celina, and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Luginbill Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ on Oregon Road near Rockford, with Pastor John Fleming officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.
KRANER
Dick J. Kraner, 76, of Ohio City, died at 9:11 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born March 12, 1926, in Jay County, Ind., the son of the late Gerald R. and Frances (Scott) Kraner. On December 24, 1947, in Wren, he married Bessie Judge, who survives.
Mr. Kraner was retired from Central Soya Company in Decatur, Ind., after 34 years of service. He formerly owned the Industrial Supply Company in Van Wert and the Glenmore Hobby Shop in Glenmore. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a former member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Richard (Karen) Kraner of Willshire, Dennis (Carolyn) Kraner of Ohio City and Dan Kraner of Indianapolis, Ind.; one daughter, Dianna (Gary) May of Fort Wayne, Ind.; seven brothers, Keith (Mary) Kraner, Tom (Barb) Kraner, Homer (Joy) Kraner, Max (Barb) Kraner, Don Kraner, Ron Kraner and Bill Kraner; three sisters, Marilyn (Harold) Clifton, Betty (DeLloyd) Swoveland and Norma (Tim) Krueckenberg; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be held at a later date, with military graveside rites by the combined honor guards of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both of Van Wert.
Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday at the funeral home.

BRENNEMAN
Ralph A. Brenneman, 89, of Goshen, Ind., and formerly of Elida, died at 12:19 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at Greencroft Nursing Center.
He was born April 5, 1913, in Elida, the son of the late John M. and Anna G. (Good) Brenneman. On October 10, 1942, he married Caroline Smucker, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Brenneman was a lifetime farmer and was formerly employed in the maintenance department of Lima Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Salem Mennonite Church in Elida.
Survivors include a son, Calvin (Judy) Brenneman of Woodburn, Ind.; two daughters, Nancy (Mark) Liechty and Connie (Greg) Maxwell, both of Goshen; two brothers, Simon Brenneman of Lima and Andrew Brenneman of Elida; two sisters, Luella Miller of Elida and Clara Kauffman of West Liberty; 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Victor, Walter, Fred and John Brenneman; two sisters, Blanche Brenneman and Grace Yoder, and a son, Roger Brenneman
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Salem Mennonite Church in Elida. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.

ARGERBRIGHT
Cynthia Hazel Albright Argerbright, 73, of Altamont, Ill., died at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Ill.
She was born May 14, 1929, in Kent, England, the daughter of the late William S. and Eveline (Freeman) Franks. On August 12, 1950, in Van Wert, she married Harvey Albright, who preceded her in death. On December 15, 1977, she married Robert "Jack" Argerbright, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Argerbright was employed at J.C. Penney in Effingham, Ill., where she was a sales associate, was also formerly employed at Martinique Dress Shop in Newton, Ill. She was a member of St. Clare Roman Catholic Church in Altamont, where she assisted with public school religion instruction. She was also a member of Trans Atlantic Brides Organization, American Legion Women's Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Van Wert and was active in Van Wert Civic Theatre.
Survivors include two sons, David (Robin) Albright of Goodfield, Ill., and Anthony J. Albright of Cahokia, Ill.; two daughters, Teresa (Robert) Sealscott of Crown Point, Ind., and Eva (Rich) Fulk of Altamont; two brothers, Martin (Tina) Franks of Over, England, and Greg (Angela) Franks of Bingham, England; nine grandchildren, Katharine Sealscott and Amanda Sealscott, both of Chicago, Rachel Albright of Effingham, Ill., Tobey Albright of Sarasota, Fla., Kristin (Tim) Caraway of St. Elmo, Ill., Christopher Albright of Collinsville, Ill., Amber Albright of Bloomington, Ill., and Derek Fulk and Ashley Fulk, both of Altamont; two great-grandchildren, Marissa Caraway of St. Elmo, and Austin Christy of Effingham; three nieces, Ann Aves, Helen (Ray) Course and Sabrina Franks, all of Over, England; three nephews, Andrew (Carol) Franks of Manchester, England, and Christopher Franks and Timothy Franks, both of London, England, and her special friend, Laddie (her beloved dog).
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, with Deacon Norbert Reinhart officiating. Burial will in England at a later date.
Following the service, a gathering will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Van Wert.
BOROFF
Florence N. Boroff, 82, of Van Wert, died at 9:05 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2002, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
She was born on February 7, 1920, in Blue Creek Township, Paulding County, the daughter of the late Joseph and Hulda (Bartel) Hooker. On May 2, 1943, in Camp Lee, Va., she married Arlo E. Boroff, who died October 16, 1991.
Mrs. Boroff was a clerk at Mohr's Hardware in Scott and was a former substitute cook at Wayne Trace High School. She attended Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert and was a member of the Gleaners Class of the church. She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 Auxiliary and belonged to the Women of the Moose and Ruskin Elks Lodge Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Richard (Karen) Boroff of Van Wert and Gary (Poon) Boroff of San Jose, Calif.; one daughter, Sandra (Ed) Kruty of Oji, Calif.; two brothers, Harlan (Jan) Hooker of Tice, Fla., and Edward (Mary) Hooker of Lima; a sister, Christina (Roger) Johns of Lima; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, a sister and a granddaughter, Ann Boroff.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will be in Blue Creek Cemetery near Haviland.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

BECK
David J. Beck, 44, of Van Wert, died at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2002, at his residence.
He was born November 30, 1958, in Van Wert, the son of Gerald Cooper of Van Wert and the late Betty (Hartman) Cooper.
Mr. Beck had been employed at Huffy Bicycle in Celina, then at Kennedy Manufacturing in Van Wert and, most recently, at Eaton in Van Wert. He was a member of Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert and also belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Delphos. He was also a member of American Legion Post 178 in Van Wert and was vice president of the Sons of the Legion. He was an avid camper at Huggy Beair Campground in Middle Point.
In addition to his father, he was survived by his fiancee, Julane Fuerst of Van Wert; two sons, David Beck of Delphos and Christopher Beck of Vendedocia; two daughters, Stephanie Beck of Venedocia and Rachel Albright of Effingham, Ill.; two brothers, Lloyd Smith of Camden, Mich., and Bobby Smith of Michigan, and a grandson, Austin Albright.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Brickner Funeral Home, the Rev. Gerald Baker officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

WATSON
Carl D. Watson, 60, of 924 Haley St., died at 2:15 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2002, at his residence.
He was born March 31, 1942, in Van Wert, the son of the late Fred H. and Erma (Utterback) Watson. On July 30, 1966, he married Louis E. Elzey, who survives in Van Wert.
Mr. Watson retired in 1997 after 32 years as a laborer for General Electric in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Cuban missile crisis in the early 1960s.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael "Mike" Watson of Cincinnati; two brothers, Richard Watson of Middle Point and Glenn Watson of Boston, Mass., and three sisters, Pansy (Everett) Cundiff of New Lebanon, Nancy (Al) Hamilton of Dallas, Texas, and Judy Mitteer of Toledo.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Robert Watson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy, with military graveside services by American Legion Post 178 in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
