HOFFMANN
Wanda E. Hoffmann, 78, of Lima, died at 2:32 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born January 25, 1925, in Illinois, the daughter of the late Lester and Lilly Wilson. She married John Hoffmann, who died August 19, 2002.
Mrs. Hoffmann was a homemaker and was the owner of Alpha Advertising. She was a member of Gomer United Church of Christ and taught Sunday School there.
Survivors include six children, Steven Miller of Illinois, Bonnie (Ken) Dison of Menomonee Falls, Wis., Wendy Strack of Findlay, Tim (Debbie) Miller of Ft. Smith, Ark., Jeff Miller of Tucson, Ariz., and Greg (Beth) Miller of Waynesfield, and three stepchildren, Arnold J. (Jane) Hoffmann of Huntersville, S.C., Linda (Jim) Smedinghoff of Wheaton, Ill., and Diane Kuhnen of Warrenville, Ill.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 10, at Gomer United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Brian Knoderer officiating. Burial will be in Pike Run Cemetery.
Calling hours are 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

KOCHENOUR
James H. Kochenour, 74, of Paulding, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2004, at his residence.
He was born June 16, 1929, in Paulding, the son of the late Elmer and Lila (Edwards) Kochenour. On June 20, 1951, he married E. Berniece Reighter, who survives at home.
Mr. Kochenour retired from Schwerman Tucking in 1986 after 30 years service and he was previously employed by Charles Kauser Excavating, Jay Dangler Excavating, Todd Excavating and the Paulding County Senior Center as a driver for Meals on Wheels. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 587 in Paulding.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Bob Kochenour of Paulding and Bill (Amy) Kochenour of Oakwood; a daughter, Kathy (Mike) Thompson of Paulding; two sisters, Emogene Kochenour and June Koenig; 18 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Newton Kochenour, and one sister, Mildred Crowl.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, at the First Presbyterian Church in Paulding, the Rev. David Meriwether officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Paulding, with graveside military rites conducted by VFW Post 587 in Paulding.
Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. Monday, January 12, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

GRAHAM
Helen Louise Graham, 74, of Rockford, died Saturday, January 3, 2004, at her residence.
She was born March 18, 1929, in Rockford, the daughter of the late Harry Earl and Zella (Stein) Mefferd. On Jun 29, 1947, she married James Milton Graham, who preceded her in death on April 15, 1982.
Mrs. Graham had worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in St. Marys for 13 years and was also a homemaker. she was a member of Rockford United Presbyterian Church in Rockford and belonged to the Presbyterian Women's Association.
Survivors include two sons, Steve (Carol) Graham of New Carlisle and Gary (Sue) Graham of New London; two daughters, Nancy (Randy) Grosch of Arcanum and Christine (Cory) Heitkamp of St. Marys; a sister, Doris (Vince) Dugan of Rockford; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Brent of Danielson, Conn.; 11 grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold "Bud" Mefferd.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Rev. Karen Long officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

BUTLER
Roseanna L. Butler, 54, of Delphos, died at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2004, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born June, 10, 1950, in Allen County, the daughter of the late David Orville and Doris A. (Keysor) Fisher. On December 26, 1993, she married Edward Butler, who survives in Delphos.
Mrs. Butler worked as a general laborer at Kenton Technology for 25 years. She was a member of First Tabernacle of Cridersville and loved to take pictures.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Rebecca K. Butler of Delphos; two stepsons, Tim Butler of Kansas City, Kan., and Michael (Lorraine) Butler of Delphos; three stepdaughters, Paul Butler of Van Wert, Amy Joe (Lowell) Horten of Delphos and Mary Kay Grand of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sisters, Evelynn Berryman of Delphos, Mary Snyder of Harrod and Jeanne Fogle of Kenton; two brothers, Bud (Jacque) Fisher of Kenton and Larry Fisher of Lima; 10 stepgrandchildren, and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 12, at Harter & Son Funeral Home in Delphos. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. Saturday, July 10, and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 11, at the funeral home.

ODAFFER
Forest E. "Frosty" Odaffer, 90, of Grover Hill, went to be with the Lord at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at his residence.
He was born September 24, 1913, in Ohio City, the son of the late Lewis and Lucille (Mottinger) Odaffer. On June 7, 1936, in Vaughnsville, he married Marcile L. Oakley, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Odaffer was a lifelong farmer and a member of Mt. Pleasant Church in rural Van Wert County. He loved to play softball and umpire, was an avid storyteller and was a friend to all.
Survivors include a son, Larry (Alice) Odaffer of Scott; three sisters, Clara Belle Rogers of Florida, Marianna Coil of Venedocia and Ethel Taylor of Van Wert; two grandchildren, Laura (Scott) Wyatt and Andrea (Ryan) Agler, and three great-grandchildren, Ashleigh and Erica Wyatt and Austin Agler.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, William, Russell, Floyd "Whitey" and Carl Odaffer and a brother, Roy Donald, who died in infancy.|
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 16, at Mt. Pleasant Church, the Rev. Phil Mercer officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.
Calling hours are 3-8 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.

HOAGLIN
Regina (High) Jones Hoaglin, 95, of Horton, Mich., and formerly of Ohio City, died at 8:48 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Arbor Manor Care Center in Spring Arbor, Mich.
She was born November 12, 1908, in Liberty Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Christopher M. and Lucy (Custer) High. On December 27, 1930, she married William Paul Jones, who died March 15, 1966. On January 12, 1983, she married Loyal Sylvester Hoaglin, who died February 2, 1987.
Mrs. Hoaglin was a homemaker and mother. She was a longtime member of Ohio City United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women, was an officer in the Defiance UMW and started the local Methodist Prayer Breakfast. She was a 1926 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School and was a member of the Liberty Grange-Farm Bureau.
Survivors include two sons, William Kent (Mildred M.) Jones of Auburn, Ind., and Richard P. "Dick" Jones of Horton, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Iris (Rex) Krugh of Michigan; three grandchildren, Laura (Pat) Menzie, Brad (Stacie) Jones and Ken (Jennifer) Jones; five great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren, Ronai Krugh, Tom Krugh, Becky McDonald and Jacquelyn DiBiasio; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren, and a step-great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lloyd J. High, William Hial High, Ray High and Leo High, and two sisters, Cuba Wise and Norma Doris Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor James C. Mann of Horton Congregational Church and Pastor Mike Waldron of Ohio City United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Calling hours are two hours prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

BERRY
Eugene Marvin Berry, 74, of Philadelphia, Pa., died at 7 a.m. Sunday, July 11, 2004, at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia.
He was born September 25, 1929, in Celina, the son of the late Cyril Oran and Daisy May (Denney) Berry. He never married.
Mr. Berry retired after 21 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps and then worked at Chestnut Hills Hospital of Philadelphia as a purchasing agent, retiring from that position in 1991. He was a member of Bala Cynwyd Methodist Church near Philadelphia. Gene, as he was known by both family and friends, was much loved and appreciated by all. His wonderful outlook on life and warm personality will be missed.
Survivors include a brother, Ray E. (Marcia) Berry of Inverness, Fla.; a niece, Melinda (Rodney) Young of Tiffin; one nephew, Rick (Linda) Berry of Port Clinton; four grandnieces, Lucy, Jennefer, Lisa and Audrea, and two grandnephews, Nicholas and Adam.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 16, at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Jim Robbins officiating. Burial will be in North Grove Cemetery in Celina, with military graveside services by local veterans groups.
Calling hours are two hours prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
