FRIEMOTH
Eugene A. Friemoth, 86, of Van Wert, died at 8:32 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2004, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
He was born March 12, 1918, in Delphos, the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Rahrig) Friemoth. On July 23, 1949, he married Dorothy Burley, who survives in Van Wert.
Mr. Friemoth retired as a supervisor at Borden's Foods after 34 years. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1320, both in Van Wert. He had been a member of the Van Wert Bowling Association and was league secretary for many years. He was an avid coin collector and enjoyed following football (Delphos St. John's) and baseball. He had been a Little League coach in the early 1960s.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Gary Friemoth of Van Wert, David (Helen) Friemoth of Columbia, S.C., and Bruce (Becky) Friemoth of Rockford; two brothers, Elmer "Butch" (Helen) Friemoth of Elida and Don (Irene) Friemoth of Van Wert; a granddaughter, Kena King of South Bend, Ind.; two great-grandchildren, Sierra and Drey King of South Bend; two stepgrandchildren, Jason (Shannan) Font and Jamie (Mickey) Font, and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Austin and Zoey Font.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Melvin, and two sisters, Rita Kessler and Lucille Allen.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 6, at Brickner Funeral Home, the Rev. Gerald Baker officiating. That will be followed by a military service by the combined honors units of VFW Post 5803 and American Legion Post 178, both in Van Wert, and burial in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

SCHAADT
Betty Joan Schaadt, 72, of 15537 Ohio 118, Ohio City, died at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2004, at her residence.
She was born July 11, 1931, in Ohio City, the daughter of the late Harry Richard and Arnie Irene (Custer) Fry. On August 12, 1949, she married Raymond Walter Schaadt, who died December 15, 1995.
Mrs. Schaadt had worked at Borden's Foods and Van Wert Manufacturing Company. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and attended Ohio City-Liberty High School.
Survivors include a son, Alan R. Schaadt of Wren; two daughters, Ramona (Gerald) Weir and Sandra (Kevin) Dailey, both of Van Wert; one brother, Elzie Wayne (Georgia) Fry of Van Wert; a sister, Ola Mae Carr of Ohio City, and two grandchildren, Lindsey R. Miller and Brittney Loren Schaadt.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Jerry Flueckiger officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Calling hours are 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, at the funeral home.

EICKHOLT
Ruth Eickholt, 95, of Delphos, died at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2004, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born October 28, 1908, in Ottoville, the daughter of the late William "Doc" and Nora (Lochtefeld) Otte. She married Arthur Eickholt, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Eickholt was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Evangelistic Catholic Church in Delphos and the Del-Otto Club. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed reading up to four books a week.
Survivors include a son, Dave (Debbie) Eickholt of Delphos; one daughter, Patricia Clark of Columbus; nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Wells, and three sisters.
A funeral mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, at St. John the Evangelistic Catholic Church, with Father Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Monday, June 7, at Harter & Son Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30 that evening.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's School or St. Rita's Medical Center.
MILLER
Theodore E. "Ted" Miller, 71, of Van Wert, died at 8:06 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at his residence.
He was born January 29, 1933, in Cavett, the son of the late William H. and Nellie (Weaver) Miller. On August 28, 1955, in Van Wert, he married Carla J. Lybarger, who survives at home.
Mr. Miller retired from Aeroquip Corporation in Van Wert in 1993 after 29 years. He had formerly worked at Grizzly Manufacturing in Paulding. He was a member of North Union United Methodist Church in Van Wert and the United Methodist Nomads, was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict and a member of American Legion Post 178 in Van Wert and was an avid work carver.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Kelly (Walter) Bartz and LeAnn (Charles) German, both of Van Wert, and Joy Miller and Lori (Mickey) Sizemore, both of Columbus; a brother, Robert J. (June) Miller of Van Wert; three sisters, Eloise Mullenix of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Mildred Munro of South Carolina and Dorothy (Cloyd) Miller of Grover Hill, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Purl Miller, and one sister, Nina Bollenger.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 3, at North Union United Methodist Church, the Rev. Mary Ann Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the combined honor units of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5802, both of Van Wert.
Calling hours are 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 2, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to the church or the United Methodist Nomads.
MARTIN
Glen L. Martin, 72, of Delphos, died at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at his residence.
He was born July 3, 1931, in Willshire, the son of the late Charley and Mildred (Troutner) Martin. In 1953, he married Mary M. Harmon, who survives.
Mr. Martin worked at New Delphos for 10 years, as well as Krey's Packing Company and Zinc Quality Plating. He was an active member of Pentecostal Way Church in Van Wert and enjoyed camping, auctions and watching his grandchildren play soccer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Randy (Jill) Martin of Delphos; two daughters, Pam (Gregory) Gigliotti of Newark, Del., and Dawn (Jason) Feasby of Van Wert; two brothers, Wilbur (George) Martin of Van Wert and James (Helen) Martin of Decatur, Ind.; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Martin; three brothers, William, Chester and Walter Martin, and two sisters, Betty Jean and Norma Fae.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 3, at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, the Rev. Bill Watson officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.

EGGEMAN
LaDonna Eggeman, 65, of Delphos, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born February 21, 1939, in Landeck, the daughter of the late Norbert "Tim" and Alvena (Fuerst) Rode. On September 15, 1956, she married Ronald G. Eggeman, who survives at home.
Mrs. Eggeman retired after many years as a seamstress for The Drapery Stitch in Delphos. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafts, puzzles and camping with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Russell (Natalie) Eggeman of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Ronald K. (Laura) Eggeman of Goshen, Ind.; a daughter, Catherine (David) Joseph of Delphos; two sisters, Carol (Roland) Bewsey and Arlene (John) Nomina, both of Delphos; 10 grandchildren, Keri (Dan Beckman) Eggeman, Karlye (Kenny) Whaley, Ronald Eggeman, Samantha Sawyer, Lauren Sawyer, Travis Eggeman, Jeneal Eggeman, Christine Joseph, Damon Joseph and Michael Joseph, and a great-grandchild, Austin Whaley.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Eggeman.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, the Rev. Ron Lumm officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are from 5-9 p.m. Friday, July 2, and from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.

EXLINE
Datha M. Gamble Exline, 97, of Van Wert, died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
She was born October 2, 1906, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Clarence and Minnie (Hatfield) Judkins. In 1927, she married W. Glenn Gamble, who died in 1956. She then married Charles W. Exline in 1959, and he died in 1994.
Mrs. Exline has been manager of the Ohio State Employment Service Office in Van Wert from 1941-1951 and was later affiliated with her husband, Charles Exline, in operating Clark's Shoe Store in Van Wert. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert and a former member of the following: Delphos Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Van Wert Woman's Club, Van Wert Visiting Nurses Auxiliary, Van Wert County Historical Society, United Federation of Dolls Clubs and Madison Area Doll Club.
Survivors include two stepsons, James W. and Robert L. (Cheri) Exline, both of Van Wert; two nieces, Susan Estill Linton of Van Wert and Betsy Estill Brotherton of New Haven, Ind.; three stepgrandchildren, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, J. Robert Gamble.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Dr. Edward Jillson officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
There will be no calling hours.
