CHESBRO
Susan Rae Chesbro, 30, of Van Wert, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2004, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 7, 1973, in Van Wert, the daughter of Jess Sherry, who survives in Van Wert, and Charlotte (Schlatman) Banks, who also survives in Van Wert. On October 16, 2002, she married Scott B. Chesbro, who survives at home.
Mrs. Chesbro worked at Toledo Molding & Die Plant No. 1 in Delphos. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 886 Auxiliary in Van Wert.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by a stepmother, Janet Sherry of Van Wert; two sisters, Kelly (James Siegal) Phillips of Decatur, Ind., and Jodi (Denny) Parsons of Middle Point; one stepsister, Lorie Ditto of Ottoville; three stepbrothers, Mike Siefker of Delphos, Jerry (Tabitha) Siefker of Van Wert and Bill (Michelle) Siefker of Grover Hill; a sister-in-law, Laurie Sherry of Van Wert, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a stepfather, Sammy Banks; a brother, Mark A. Sherry; maternal grandparents, Charles and Regina Schlatman, and paternal grandparents, Darwin and Viola Sherry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Terry Porter officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 1-8 p.m. Monday, March 8, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be a made to the American Heart Association.

BROADDUS
Brian Kirk Broaddus, 61, of Delphos, died Friday, March 5, 2004, at his residence.
He was born July 13, 1942, in Lima, the son of Margaret (Mulbarger) Broaddus and the late William Broaddus.
Mr. Broaddus worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation in Allen County and enjoyed his work. He was a 1960 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School and was a member of the Delphos Eagles. He served in the U.S. Army for 18 months in 1966-67 in Okinawa.
Survivors include a daughter, Amy Lyn (Michael) Malone of Dublin; one sister, Dian (Jack) Staup of Lima; a brother, William (Mar3335y Jane) Broaddus of Brunswick, and one grandson, Luke Michael Malone.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Barton Keith Broaddus, who died in infancy.
A memorial service will be conducted at noon Thursday, March 11, at Harter & Son Funeral Home in Delphos, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Delphos, with graveside military rites performed by the Delphos Veterans Council.
Memorial calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in Delphos.

YOUNG
Martha Jane Young, 74, of Van Wert, died at 2:08 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at her residence.
She was born February 14, 1930, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Cale and Velma (Manken) Tomlinson. On May 11, 1949, she married Ervin N. Young, who survives in Van Wert.
Mrs. Young retired from Van Wert County Hospital in 1992 after 26 years of service. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Van Wert and was an active participant in the Van Wert County Unit of the American Cancer's Society's Relay for Life fundraiser.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Timothy N. (Kathy) Young of Fort Wayne, Ind., K. David (Connie) Young of Middle Point and Jeffery M. (Kari) Young of Van Wert; two daughters, Cindy E. (Michael) Kohorst and Melanie L. (David) Mace, both of Van Wert; six grandchildren, Emily Young, Zachary (Misty) Young, Mandy M. (Bill) Hemming, Justin M. Kohorst, Kellie M. Mace and Hanna L. Young; a great-granddaughter, Gianna R. Hemming, and an additional survivor, Beth Young of Holland, Mich.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rebecca Janeene Young.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 12, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Doug Stockton officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery near Middle Point.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church or a charity of donor's choice.

JOSEPH
Ronald James Joseph, 71, of Coldwater, died at 1 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2004, at Celina Manor nursing home.
He was born March 14, 1933, in Mendon, the son of the late Orvin James and Ercel V. Arrington.
Mr. Joseph was a truck driver and retired from John Cheeseman Trucking in Fort Recovery. He was a member of the Celina and Coldwater American Legion posts.
Survivors include a son, Terry (Mary Jo) Joseph of Celina; one daughter, Gloria J. Joseph of Decatur, Ind.; nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gary E. Joseph.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 18, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Rev. Karen Long officiating. Burial will be in Friends Chapel Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and an hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

GEARY
Mary Elizabeth Geary, 90, of Van Wert, died at 2:14 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2004, at Van Wert Manor nursing home in Van Wert.
She was born October 5, 1913, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Newton and Sarah (Williams) Jones. On October 1, 1938, in Van Wert, she married Floyd Geary, who died June 3, 1993.
Mrs. Geary had worked for the Van Wert County Board of Elections for many years. She also had cared for her mother for many years and was greatly loved by her family. She enjoyed making pies and "bumblebees" for her granddaughter and also was an avid golfer. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert and the Van Wert Women of the Moose organization.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Geary of Van Wert, and Barbara (Alex) Henzel of North Ponfret, Vt.; a sister, Frances Thomas of Midland, Mich.; one granddaughter, Jessica Henzel of Philadelphia, Pa., and several nieces and nephews.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.
There will be no public visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

WOOTEN
J.C. "Bodine" Wooten, 57, of Ohio City, died at 3:01 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2004, at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born June 18, 1946, in Chattanooga, Tenn., the son of Clinton Albert Wooten and the late Anne Frances (Bateman) Wooten.
Mr. Wooten was a Vietnam veteran who received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze service stars. He enjoyed being around family and friends and also loved watching wrestling and movies with friends.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his dearest friend, Bonnie Sizemore of Van Wert, whom he loved like a sister; a daughter, Tina Wooten; a stepdaughter, Darlene Williamson of Ohio City, and a nephew, Richard Cantrall of Detroit, Mich.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, March 19, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Larry G. Fries officiating. Burial will be in Dayton National Cemetery.
Calling hours are 8:30-10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

HIMMEGER
Lowell "Harvey" Himmeger, 65, of Arizona and formerly of Delphos, died at 12:40 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2004, at his uncle's residence in Delphos.
He was born February 22, 1939, the son of the late Harvey and Martha (Moffit) Himmelger. On May 28, 1970, he married Opal "Marie" Himmelger, who also preceded him in death.
Mr. Himmelger was retired from Southern California Edison. He enjoyed archery, hunting, boating and many years of riding a motorcycle.
Survivors include a sister, Nancy Fiedel of Florida, and his stepmother, Lola Himmeger.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Nanette Nagel and maternal grandparents, Homer and Thelma Buzzard.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, the Rev. Terry Martin officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Delphos Visiting Nurses.
