Leola Minnie Doner, 83 of Celina, died at 7:30 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2004, at her home.
She was born January 8, 1921, in Liberty Township, Mercer County, the daughter of the late Theodore and Minnie (Brehm) Bollenbacher. On November 14, 1943, she married Robert Doner, who preceded her in death in April 1990.
Mrs. Doner was a homemaker, living all her life in the area. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ near Rockford, where she was a member of the church's Women's Fellowship. She was a member of Unity Grange 2116 for more than 50 years, where she served as the junior deputy and on the State Women's Committee. She worked with Celina Area Visiting Nurses from 1990 until recently. She previously had worked at Amstutz, Sears and Celina Group Insurance Company. She enjoyed camping, traveling and growing flowers.
Survivors include three sons, David (Karen) Doner of Oak Hill, W.Va., and Wayne (Jan) Doner and Ken (Linda) Doner, both of Celina; two brothers, John (Jan) Bollenbacher Jr. of Willshire and Ed (Joan) Bollenbacher of Rockford; six grandchildren, Nicholas Doner, Elizabeth Doner, Tim (Dawn) Doner, Glenna (Orin) Kendall, Mike Doner and Jackie Doner; three great-grandchildren, Cody Doner, Curtis Doner and Jarod Kendall, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ on Oregon Road near Rockford, with Pastor John Fleming officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 22, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Celina Area Visiting Nurses or to St. Paul's United Church of Christ near Rockford.
STANDIFORD
Ivan D. "Stan" Standiford, 65, of Van Wert, died at 11:19 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2004, at Van Wert Manor nursing home in Van Wert.
He was born January 25, 1939, in Fort Wayne, Ind., the son of the late Paris L. and Hazel D. Standiford.
Mr. Standiford was a retired employee of International Harvester.
There are no listed survivors.
There will be funeral services or visitation. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne.
Brickner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
WINKELMAN
Richard John Winkelman, 80, of Ottoville, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2004, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.
He was born December 19, 1923, in Toledo, and came to live in Ottoville in 1926 with his aunts Mayme, Rose, Alma and Susie and his uncle Albert.
For 25 years he taught history and biology at Kalida High School, Coldwater High School and Northwood High School in Toledo. He also taught library science and served as the director of the Map Department at the University of Toledo until he retired in 1967. He never lost his love of academia and was a past member of the Ottoville Local Board of Education. He was a graduate of Ottoville High School, Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville and served on the church cemetery board. He was a member of the Putnam County Teachers Association and the State Retired Teachers Association. He loved the opera and ballet and was a self-taught classical pianist. He memorized the scores of multiple Broadway musicals and could play without any sheet music. Richard was also a scholar of Catholic Church history and was noted for his knowledge of the popes and his ability to convey correct Canon Law and history to those in error. He could also recited the entire lineage of the royal family of England. Because of his love of his home community, he made available his family's farm, which became the location for the first factories of Ottoville.
There are no listed survivors.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 27, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville, with Father Tony Borgia officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Ottoville.
Calling hours are 7-9 p.m. Thursday, November 25, and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 26, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday.

COOK
Matilda M. "Tilly" Cook, 91, of 924 Southway, died at 10:50 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2004, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born September 3, 1913, in Jackson Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Emmitt and Elizabeth (Boyer) Morris. On September 10, 1949, she married Harold L. Cook, who died July 12, 1994.
Mrs. Cook was a homemaker and had worked at Borden Foods in Van Wert. She was a charter member of Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert, where she was active in the Martha Circle, Friendship Sunday School class and Women's Bible Study.
Survivors include a daughter, Renee (Fernando) Rodriguez of Old Hickory, Tenn.; a brother, Ronnie Morris of Sebring, Fla., and two grandchildren, Rachel and Hannah.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Cloyd Morris and Bill Morris, and a sister, Ruth Morris.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, at Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert, with Pastor Raymond Feeck and Pastor W. Clark Williman officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

GRINDSTAFF
Arthur T. "Daniel Boone" Grindstaff, 80, of Oakwood, died at 11:28 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2004, at Van Wert Manor nursing home in Van Wert.
He was born April 27, 1924, in Wolfpit, Ky., the son of the late John and Bertha (Johnson) Grindstaff. On November 8, 1945, he married Pearl Teegarden, who preceded him in death on October 1, 2000.
Mr. Grindstaff was a former troop leader, cook and helper for the Boy Scouts. He attended Mandale Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty (Arthur) Thompson of Cloverdale; two sisters, Mrs. Avalon Back of Mandale and Betty Sturgill of Big Stone Gap, Va.; two brothers, Fred Grindstaff of Cecil and Garland "Mac" Grindstaff of Oakwood; four grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Keaster Grindstaff.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 13, at Heitmyer Funeral Home in Oakwood, the Rev. Don Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery in Grover Hill.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. today and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.

SPINDLER
Regis Anthony Spindler, 16, of Rockford, died at 9:31 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2004, at his residence.
He was born October 2, 1988, in Fort Wayne, Ind., the son of Russell R. and Annette V. (Minnich) Spindler, who both survive.
Regis was a freshman honor student at Parkway High School.
Other survivors include his grandparents, Jon and Patricia Minnich of Convoy and grandmother, Louis Spindler of Hoaglin, Ind.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Randy and Royce Spindler, and a grandfather, Paul Spindler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Rockford, with Father Tom Brenberger officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling hours are 2-8:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 30, and 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, where Father Rich Riedel will lead a rosary service at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Father Brenberger will lead a wake service at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

IMLER
Lowell G. Imler, 86, of Van Wert, died at 3:10 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2004, at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born January 23, 1918, in Ridge Township, Van Wert County, the son of the late Ray L. and Elizabeth (Brown) Imler.
Mr. Imler formerly worked at Central Mutual Insurance Company in Van Wert as an underwriter. He attended First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Signal Corps serving during World War II in the Philippines as a staff sergeant. He also authored three books and was very active with genealogy.
Survivors include a son, Mark Imler of California, and two sisters, Elizabeth (Cliff) Hoverman of Decatur, Ind., and Patricia (William) Hofmann of Van Wert.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronald, Ralph and Paul Imler, and three sisters, Marietta Imler, Doris Imler and Margaret Engel.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 11, at Ridge Cemetery in Ridge Township, with the Rev. Dr. Edward Jillson officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the combined honor units of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 in Van Wert.
There will be no calling hours.
