OTTE
Irene Otte, 73, of Delphos, died at 4:13 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2004, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born January 17, 1931, in Blissfield, Mich., the daughter of the late Austin and Bessie (Butts) Mason.
Ms. Miller was retired from KP Industries after 28 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Delphos and was a graduate of Hoaglin-Jackson High School in Van Wert County.
Survivors include a son, Terry Craig of Delphos; one daughter, Judy (Rick) Burnside of New Haven, Ind.; two sisters, Ruth Johnson of Sumter, S.C., and Evelyn Ludwig of Van Wert; one brother, Warren Mason of Van Wert, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 28, at Harter & Schier Memorial Chapel in Delphos. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in Ridge Township.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, and an hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.

LYLE
Alice E. Lyle, 84, of North Miami Beach, Fla., and formerly of Spencerville, died at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2004, at Arch Plaza Nursing Home in North Miami Beach.
She was born November 23, 1919, in Spencerville, the daughter of the late August and Ladima (Cooke) Aab.
Ms. Lyle retired as store manager for the Singer Company in 1982. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Delphos, joined the Church by the Sea before transferring her membership to Rader Memorial Methodist Church. She was active as a volunteer for the American Red Cross, was a past president of the United Methodist Women's Organization and a member of Eastern Star. She was also involved with the church garden club and church sewing group. She liked to play Bingo on Saturdays with her lady friends.
Survivors include a son, James Lyle; two daughters, Linda Perkins and Janice Lyle; one sister, Thelma Brewer, a brother, George Aab; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 15, at Harter & Schier Memorial Chapel in Delphos, the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthews Cemetery in Spencerville.
Calling hours are an hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.

MILLER
Hilda B. Miller of Middle Point died early the morning of Sunday, October 24, 2004, at her daughter's residence in Van Wert.
She was born November 20, 1918, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Peter C. Kohorst and Blanche A. (Unland) Kohorst-Dray. On May 29, 1940, she married Ira Reed Miller, who died May 31, 1980.
Mrs. Miller loved music and had a song for every occasion. She enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, never said an ill word about anyone and, when she passed away, was truly surrounded by her loved ones. She attended Middle Point United Methodist Church and Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert.
Survivors include two sons, Ira Reed (Connie) Miller Jr. of Middle Point and Jeffery Rex (Deb) Miller of Van Wert; two daughters, Karen Sue Gardner and Bonny Ruth (Larry) Agler, both of Van Wert; a brother, Gerald "Bud" Kohorst of Vincennes, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gerald R. "Bob" Miller; two sisters, Norma Katherine Miller and Wilma Walters; a son-in-law, Tom Gardner; one grandson, Gary Lee Miller, and a great-granddaughter, Abigail Agler-Gardner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, at Harter & Schier Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Gerald Baker officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, and an hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

DAVIS
Madeline Marie "Maddie" Davis, 1, of Van Wert, died at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2004, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born October 5, 2003, in Van Wert, the daughter of Tom and Amber J. (Fox) Davis, who both survive in Van Wert.
Maddie attended Kingsley United Methodist Church in rural Van Wert.
Other survivors include maternal grandparents Larry and Donna Fox of Van Wert; paternal grandparents, Gig and Carrol Davis of Van Wert; maternal great-grandparents, Leonard and Helen Klewer of Van Wert; paternal grandfather, Lewis Rogers of Van Wert; two uncles, Ryan Fox and Rob (Chris) Davis and an aunt, Libby Davis.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Jack and Rosemary Fox; her paternal great-grandmother, Faith Rogers, and paternal great-grandparents, Donald and Marie Davis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 28, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Chuck Glover officiating.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, at the funeral home.

SYBERT
Bonnie A. Sybert, 65, of Delphos, died at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2004, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born December 12, 1938, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Louis and Cecelia (Ebbeskotte) Mullenhour. On May 31, 1959, she married Larry Sybert, who survives in Delphos.
Mrs. Sybert was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Delphos. She was a Delphos Jefferson Wildcat fan and avid Buckeye fan. She also enjoyed playing Bingo.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Glen Sybert, Chad Sybert and Derek Sybert, all of Delphos; a daughter, Cheryl (Carl) Stuard of Forest; one sister, Dolores Picker, and two grandchildren, Rebecca and Ian Stuard.
She was preceded in death by a son, Louis Sybert; one daughter, Renee Sybert, and a sister, Edna Mullenhour.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 31, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with Rev. Ron Lumm officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Friday, October 29, and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, October 30, at the funeral home.

SITES
Ronald D. "Ronnie" Sites, 32, of Van Wert, died at 12:07 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2004, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
He was born December 22, 1971, in Van Wert, the son of Pamela (Potter) Sites and the late Jack Wesley Sites, who passed away August 14, 1999. He never married.
Mr. Sites worked for many years at the Thomas Edison Workshop in Van Wert. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Van Wert, a member of Van Wert Eagles Aerie 886, a member of the Van Wert Moose Lodge and was a Key member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 in Van Wert. He was a 1991 graduate of Van Wert High School and a Special Olympics participant and medal winner. He was an avid Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Alice Haynes of Van Wert; his maternal grandfather, Wayne Small of Convoy; his paternal grandmother, Helen Sites of Van Wert; his maternal great-grandmother, Lucille Current of Van Wert; a brother, Chad Sites of Van Wert; one sister, Laura Willingham of Van Wert; four nephews, Tyson Sites, Spencer Sites, Holden Willingham and Skyler Willingham, and a niece, Ann Marie Willingham.
He was preceded in death by a paternal grandfather, Kenneth Sites; his maternal grandfather, James Potter, and a nephew, Isaiah Willingham.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 21, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

SEALSCOTT
Bonnie Sealscott, 77, of Van Wert, was called home to the Lord at 11:45 a.m. Friday, October 29, 2004, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
She was born March 31, 1927, in Hoaglin Township, Van Wert County, the daughter, of the late Clarence Emery and Almeda Amelia Elizabeth (Hoffer) Baker. On December 25, 1945, she married Lester Christian Sealscott Jr., who died September 3, 1996.
Mrs. Sealscott was a homemaker and attended Mt. Pleasant Church and Trinity Friends Church, both of Van Wert, and attended a Wednesday morning prayer group at Trinity Friends Church.
Survivors include two sons, Gary (Lisa) Sealscott of Defiance and Dana (Lori) Sealscott of Van Wert; a daughter, Joyce (Larry) Lynch of Van Wert; one sister, Irene Ringwald of Middle Point; 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 1, at Mt. Pleasant Church in rural Van Wert, with the Rev. Phil Mercer officiating, assisted by Rev. Neil Hammons. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in rural Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, October 31, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.
