SCHAADT
Mary B. Schaadt, 91, of Van Wert, died at 4:25 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Van Wert Manor nursing home.
She was born July 6, 1913, in Penfield, Ill., the daughter of the late Bernard J. and Julia (Early) Flaherty. On February 28, 1938, she married Romy W. Schaadt, who died August 13, 1998.
Mrs. Schaadt was a resident of Ridge Township from the age of 2 years and helped farm the family farm from the age of 12. She also worked for many years on the Ridge Township election board. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert and its Rosary Altar Society. She attended the former Ridge School and, in 1954, won the Van Wert County Women’s Plowing Contest.
Survivors include three sons, Rex (Alice) Schaadt and Bernie (Kathy) Schaadt, both of Middle Point, and Kent (Glenda) Schaadt of Van Wert; four daughters, Joan Blankemeyer of Westerville, Monica (Jerry) Richey of Middle Point, Marcia (Leroy) Kill of Venedocia and Valeria (William) Teman of Delphos; two sisters, Ann Cooper of Mount Gilead and Theresa Childers of Naples, Fla.; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John, in infancy, one sister, Katherin Geis, and a granddaughter, Celeste Blankemeyer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, with Father Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, at the funeral home, where a rosary service will be held at 8 p.m. that evening.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Middle Point EMS squad and the Van Wert Manor Activities Fund.
WORTHINGTON
Mary Louise (McVay) Worthington, 58, of Van Wert, died at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2005, at her residence.
She was born May 26, 1947, in Greenville, the daughter of the late Clarence Earl and Frances Elizabeth (Kline) McVay. On June 25, 2003, she married Jerry Worthington, who survives in Van Wert.
Mrs. Worthington was a retired educator, having taught 30 years at Franklin Elementary School, part of Van Wert City Schools. Having graduated from Van Wert High School in 1965, she completed both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Bowling Green State University, majoring in elementary education. Giving to the community was also important to Mary. She was a member of the YWCA board and helped create the Buckeye Y program for children. She also served as president of the Van Wert Chapter of the American Association of University Women, was on the board of Wassenberg Art Center and was vice president of the Van Wert Chapter of the Ohio Retired Teachers’ Association at the time of her death. Her past commitments include the Van Wert City Education Association, Ohio Federation of Teachers, American Federation of Teachers, the Camp Fire program and serving as Van Wert County jury commissioner. She spent many enjoyable hours ushering and helping with productions at the Van Wert Civic Theatre. As a child, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church and recently began attending First United Methodist Church, both in Van Wert.
In addition to her husband, survivors include three stepdaughters, Jessica, Jacqueline and Angelique Worthington; a brother, John D. McVay of Van Wert; one sister, Susan E. McVay of Long Beach, Calif., and an aunt, Louise Witmer of Greenville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at First United Methodist Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. Dillon Staas officiating. Burial will be in Greenville Union Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Health Professionals Hospice.
BONIFAS
Alice Hoelderle Bonifas, 85, of Delphos, died at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville.
She was born November 27, 1919, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Wrasman) Hoelderle. On June 1, 1946, she married Robert Bonifas, who died March 2, 2005, after more than 58 years of marriage.
Mrs. Bonifas was a homemaker and was active in running the family-owned business, NuMaude's Restaurant in Delphos. She was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, was a Eucharistic minister at the church and was a graduate of St. John's High School in Delphos. She enjoyed, and was very proud of the fact that she was born and lived in the same house her entire life.
Survivors include a son, Jan A. (Carol) Bonifas of St. Marys; two daughters, Barbara J. Bonifas of Cincinnati and Madelyn (William) Schimmoeller of Delphos; Eddie Robert Ezzelle, a grandson who was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Bonifas; seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Carl Hoelderle, and two sisters, Madelon Balyeat and Mary Louise Hoelderle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 7 that evening.

DELLINGER
Arlene P. Dellinger, 77, formerly of Syracuse, Ind., Convoy and Fort Wayne and now of Tippecanoe Lake, Ind., since 1964, died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse, Ind.
She was born September 14, 1927, in Convoy, the daughter of the late Dewey and Opal (Knittle) Ainsworth. She married Robert E. Dellinger, who died April 3, 1979.
Mrs. Dellinger retired from Lake City Bank and was assistant branch manager of the Syracuse branch. She was a former assistant vice president of Counting House in North Webster, Ind., a former secretary to the principal of Wawasee (Ind.) High School, a former legal secretary for Horvis Beers and also had worked at General Electric. She was a member of the North Webster United Methodist Church, a former president of International Twins Convention, a member of the Webster Lions Club, Lakeland Snowmobile Club, the Mermaid Festival Committee and belonged to the Ballroom Dance Club.
Survivors include a son, Bruce R. Dellinger of Syracuse, Ind., and two sisters, a twin sister, Ilene Hardesty of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Coldwater, Mich., and a second sister, Janet Ainsworth of Fort Wayne.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at Cowan & Son Stainfield Memorial Home in Convoy, with the Rev. Ed Gebert officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse and a hour prior to services Thursday at Cowan & Son Stainfield Memorial Home..

WARNECKE
Mary Ellen Warnecke, 80, of Van Wert, died at 10:38 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2005, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
She was born March 18, 1925, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Edwin and Lauretta (Beckman) Kroeger. On September 8, 1945, she married Ralph W. Warnecke, who survives in Van Wert.
Mrs. Warnecke was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert and its Rosary Altar Society.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Dennis (Shirley) Warnecke of Van Wert, David (Marlene) Warnecke of Fort Wayne, Ind., Dale (Paula) Warnecke of North Royalton and Douglas (Katie) Warnecke of Denver, Colo.; four daughters, Diane (Dan) Grothaus of Landeck, Donna (Howard) Mongold of Portland, Ore., Darlene Warnecke of Denver, Colo., and Dell Harting of Van Wert; a brother, Gerard (Judy) Kroeger of Middle Point; two sisters, Lenore Klausing of Spencerville and Janelle (John) Friedrich of Delphos; 17 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, with Father Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 6-9 p.m. Sunday, April 24, and 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Monday, April 25, at Brickner Funeral Home, where a parish vigil service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Monday.

FRIEMOTH
Elmer Friemoth, 82, of Delphos, died at 6 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2005, at his residence.
He was born February 23, 1923, in Wetzel, the son of the late Theodore and Theresa Friemoth. On May 14, 1949, he married Betty Lou Friemoth, who receded him in death on June 18, 2003.
Mr. Friemoth joined the Delphos Police Department in 1951, starting as a merchant police officer and working his way up to police chief in 1973. He retired in 1976. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, a charter member of the National Police of America, a chaplain for the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 62 of Van Wert and belonged to Delphos Eagles Aerie 471, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3035, the Retired Police Chiefs of America and Knights of Columbus Chapter 1362.
Survivors include a son, Mike (Kathy) Friemoth of Delphos; two daughters, Joyce (Mike) Wilson of Plant City, Fla., and Linda (John) Hoffmann of Delphos; two sisters, Rita Heidenescher of Adrian, Mich., and Marie Musgrave of Clayton, Mich.; four brothers, Arthur Friemoth of Tiffin, Orville Friemoth of Adrian, Mich., Edward Friemoth of Clayton, Mich., and Hubert Friemoth of Delphos; 19 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Friemoth; one daughter, Jean Ann Friemoth; a sister, Susanne Tesnow and a great-grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Sunday, April 24, and from 2-8 p.m. Monday, April 26, at Harter & Schier Memorial Chapel in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
LLOYD
Harry D. Lloyd, 86, of Gomer, died at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2005, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.
He was born January 27, 1919, in Sugar Creek Township, Allen County, the son of the late Thomas W. and Blodwin (Edwards) Lloyd. On June 1, 1943, he married Ruth E. Conkle, who survives in Gomer.
Mr. Lloyd was self-employed for 23 years in the plumbing and heating business. In 1983, he retired from the Water Equipment Company. he was a member of Gomer United Church of Christ, Gomer Dads Club, American Legion Post 133 in Cairo, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 in Lima and Lima Elks Lodge 54. He graduated from Gomer High School in 1938 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in the southwest Pacific.
Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne (John) Murray of Ashland.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Randall and Vernon Lloyd, and two sisters, Helen Leidy and Lillian Nelson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with the Rev. Brian Knoderer officiating. Burial will be in Pike Run Cemetery in Gomer.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at the funeral home.
