ROEHM
Amber Marie Roehm, 19, of Garden City, Mich., and formerly of Van Wert, died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2005, at her residence.
She was born July 10, 1985, in Van Wert, the daughter of Mark J. Roehm and Karla Rae Sheets, who both survive in Van Wert. She never married.
Miss Roehm had been a nurse's aide at Vancrest Health Care Center. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Schumm, where she was baptized on July 3, 1995, and confirmed on April 16, 2000. She attended Parkway Local Schools until her freshman year and then attended Crestview Local Schools, were she was involved in the Drama Club, choir, and FCCLA. She graduated from Crestview High School in 2003.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a grandmother, Viola M. Sheets of Convoy; one brother, Aaron Roehm of Decatur, Ind.; three uncles, Duane (Kay) Sheets of Van Wert, Doyle (Robin) Sheets of Convoy and Mike (Deb) Roehm of Ohio City; an aunt, Karen Sue Martin of Westerville, and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Carl Sheets, and paternal grandparents, Max and Mary Sheets.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Robert Becker officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 3, and an hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
MILLER
Veneta L. Miller, 89, of Delphos, died Friday, February 25, 2005, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.
She was born February 7, 1916, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Archie and Florence Miller.
Miss Miller was a registered nurse in surgery in Fort Wayne, Ind., and Van Wert. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos and graduated from both Delphos St. John's High School and St. Rita's School of Nursing. She enjoyed reading and music.
Survivors include two great-nephews, Steve (Barbra) Spees of Lima and Matthew Spees of Tampa, Fla., and a cousin, Dorthea Ward of Hilliard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with Father Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Harter & Schier Memorial Chapel in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30 that evening.

BROWN
Emmitt F. Brown, 85, of 10943 State Route 118, Van Wert, went to be with his Lord at 4:55 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2005, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 26, 1919, in Liberty Township, Van Wert County, the son of Pearl Raymond and Laura E. (Johnson) Brown. On December 8, 1946, he married Norma Berniece Bell, who died November 23, 1997.
Mr. Brown was a longtime barber, owning and operating Brown's Barber Shop on Central Avenue with 22 years of service. He also worked at Tecumseh Box in Van Wert, retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Paul's Church of Christ in rural Van Wert. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II in the South Pacific and was a member of American Legion Post 178 in Van Wert. He was an avid horseshoe pitcher and belonged to the Van Wert Horseshoe Club.
Survivors include a son, Kirby (Jody) Brown of Van Wert; one daughter, Cindy (Mike) Uncapher of Van Wert; three brothers, Leland D. (Barbara) Brown, Herbert J. (Ginger) Brown and Eugene W. (Betty) Brown, all of Van Wert; one sister, Dorothy (Roy) Marsee of St. Marys, and two grandchildren, Nikki Uncapher of Huntington, Ind., and Ryan Uncapher of Van Wert.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Buster A. Brown, Joseph E. Brown, Raymond R. Brown and Arthur L. Brown, and two sisters, Lela Leona Adelblue and D. Marcile Longwell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Harrison Township, with the Rev. Kenyon Kaehr officiating. Burial will be in Evangelical Protestant Cemetery in Harrison Township, with military graveside rites performed by the combined honor units of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 and American Legion Post 178, both of Van Wert.

CAMPTON
Leonard M. Campton, 91, of Van Wert, died at 10:25 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2005, at his residence.
He was born March 27, 1913, in Paulding County, the son of the late Thomas and Grace (Stillman) Campton. On June 26, 1948, he married Dorothy L. McCleary, who died September 20, 1995.
Mr. Campton was employed by the former Continental Can Company for 39 years and also farmed. Following his retirement he was employed by Van Wert City Schools in meal delivery for 10 years. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He also belonged to American Legion Post 178, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1320 and Knights of Columbus Council 6034, all in Van Wert. He graduated from Hoaglin-Jackson High School, where he played basketball.
Survivors include three daughters, Sue (Jerry) Holland of Spencerville and Mary Mason and Kay (Randy) Burley, both of Van Wert; a son, Tom Campton of Florida; one sister, Lucille Albright of Van Wert, and six grandchildren, Brian Beck, Julie Wortman, Andrea Mason, Lea Mason, Liz Burley and Lydia Burley.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Howard Campton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, February 28, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, with military graveside rites performed by the combined honors guards of Legion Post 178 and VFW Post 5803.
Calling hours are 4-9 p.m. Sunday, February 27, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, where a parish wake service will be held at 8:30 that evening.

UNTERBRINK
Patty Lou Unterbrink, 77, of Van Wert, died at 7 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2005, at her residence.
She was born September 20, 1927, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Harve W. and Clara (Poling) DeBolt. On August 21, 1948, she married Donald W. Unterbrink, who survives.
Mrs. Unterbrink retired in 1990 from Sonoco Fibre Drum in Van Wert as a billing clerk. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert and was a 1945 graduate of Van Wert High School.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Gregory W. (Mary) Unterbrink of Van Wert and Daniel (Jennifer) Unterbrink of Delaware (Ohio); two daughters, Sandra (Ned) Young of Convoy and Diana Williamson of Delaware, and five grandchildren, Shane Williamson, Roxanne Unterbrink, Cassie and Mari Young and Benjamin Unterbrink.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harve DeBolt, and one sister, Helen Mosier.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, with Father Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

ROBERTS
Margaret E. Roberts, 99, of Spencerville, died at 8:05 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2005, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville.
She was born April 8, 1905, in Middle Point, the daughter of the late T. Walter and Mary Etta (Knittle) Evans. On August 24, 1924, she married Paul E. Roberts, who died April 6, 1993.
Mrs. Roberts owned and operated the former Van Wert Insurance Agency for 24 years and was a member of the former Ridge United Methodist Church in rural Van Wert County.
Survivors include two nephews, David Hays of Spencerville and Richard Evans of Linnfield, Mass., and a niece, Sue Ann Shilhan of Higham, Mass.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Curtis Evans, Paul Evans, Wendel Evans and John Evans, and three sisters, Blanche Evans, Mildred Evans and Alice Hays.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 3, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Ronald Lee officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in Ridge Township.
Calling hours are 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at the funeral home.

KUHN
David Herman Kuhn, 61, of Greenwood, Ind., and formerly of Rockford, died Monday afternoon, February 28, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, Ind., where he was a patient.
He was born June 4, 1943, in Van Wert, the son of the late Herman Lavern and Helen Irene (Nosek) Kuhn. On February 4, 1967, he married Carol Speckman, who survives at home.
Mr. Kuhn had lived all his live in rural Rockford until he moved to Greenwod about five years ago. He was a farmer in Rockford and belonged to Our Lady of Greenwood Catholic Church in Greenwood.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ed (Tricia) Kuhn of Lima and Aaron (Karie) Kuhn of Celina; two daughters, Kellie (Pete) Lamonica of Indianapolis, Ind., and Tricia Kuhn of Lima; two brothers, Dennis (Patty) Kuhn of Alexandria, Ind., and Ron Kuhn of Chattanooga (Ohio); one sister, Diane (Terry) Reard of Underwood, Minn., and six grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 4, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Father Thomas Brenberger officiating. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford.
