ZINN
Robert W. Zinn, 73, of 217 Biltmore Ave., died at 4:20 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2002, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 10, 1929, in Van Wert, the son of the late Edwin and Margaret (Wallace) Zinn. On June 17, 1950, in Convoy, he married Joan M. McNamara, who survives.
Mr. Zinn retired in 1989 as a salesman-owner of Pollock's Furniture Store in Van Wert after 32 years. He was a member of Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church in Van Wert County and a member of the former Pleasant Grange for more than 50 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Randy (Barbara) Zinn of Bloomington, Ind.; one daughter, Julie Zinn, of Van Wert; a sister, Martha Jean (Robert) Lybarger of Van Wert, and three grandchildren, Stephanie, Laura and Alex Zinn, all of Bloomington.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Richard Birk officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

YOH
Treva B. Witherow Yoh, 85, of Van Wert, died at 3:05 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2002, a Lincolnway Nursing Home in Van Wert County.
She was born December 16, 1916, in Rockford, the daughter of the late Adam and Maude (Oliver) Alt. She married Cary Witherow, who preceded her in death in 1970. She then married Joshua Yoh, who preceded him in death in 1995.
Mrs. Yoh retired in 1981 from Mersman Manufacturing in Celina and had also worked for Continental Can and National Seal, both in Van Wert. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Van Wert.
Survivors include three sons, Cary (Sarah) Witherow of Warrenton, Va., and Robert (Portia) Witherow and Carl (Jill) Witherow, both of Van Wert; a daughter, Verona (Terry) Eikenbary of Van Wert; three stepsons, Gregg Yoh of Defiance and Jay (Jennifer) Yoh and Kenneth Yoh, both of Van Wert; three stepdaughters, Penny Yoh and Vivian (Ric) Beebe, both of Defiance, and Connie Lange of Celina; a brother, Adrian (Norma) Alt of North Carolina; two sisters, Clela (Cletus) Stoephel of Van Wert and Gloria (Everett) Hanefeld of Continental; eight grandchildren; 22 stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and 19 stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Sue Peters; four brothers, John, Orville, Lorin and Bevan Alt, and two sisters, Ada Alt and Mabel Dickey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Doug Stockton officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

OBERLITNER
O. Lorene Dougal Unland Oberlitner, 84, 1271 Sunrise Court, went to be with our Lord at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born September 29, 1918, in Paulding County, the daughter of the late James E. and Helen (Welch) Foust. On August 21, 1937, she married Carroll D. Dougal, who died November 30, 1962. On December 14, 1963, she married Cloyd H. Unland, who died January 17, 1998. On November 28, 1998, she married Edwin Oberlitner, who survives.
Mrs. Oberlitner was a homemaker and had worked at Aeroquip Corp. for 10 years. She was a member of Trinity Friends Church and taught Sunday School for many years and led the church choir for 17 years. She sang gospel music in the Van Wert area for year with the Zionaires and the Gospelaires. She was a member of the Hoaglin-Jackson Sunrise Club.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Lyle (Sandra) Dougal of Van Wert; two daughters, Barbara (Gary) Adams and Linda (Jerry) Stemen, both of Van Wert; three stepsons, John (Faye) Oberlitner of Polson, Mont., Gene (Jane) Oberlitner of Celina and Clarence (Joan) Oberlitner of Ohio City; a stepdaughter, Ruth (Richard) Schwartz of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one brother, Carl (Betty) Foust of Van Wert; three sisters, Ruth Stewart Kimberlin of Sturgis, Mich., and Eloise Harting Rolsten and Marilyn (William) McCracken, both of Van Wert; eight grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Donald Oberlitner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert, the Rev. John Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Mohr Cemetery in Van Wert County.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Oberlitner to the Trinity Friends Church Building Fund.

VANNETT
William N. "Bill" Vannett, 57, of 602 S. Wayne St., died at 11:44 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born January 24, 1946, in Celina, the son of Lorena Katherine (Zumbrink) Vannett of Coldwater and the late William Franklin Vannett. On April 13, 1969, in Mendon, he married Pamela Jean Thomas, who survives at home.
Mr. Vannett was retired from the U.S. Navy in 1991 with more than 30 years of service and had worked at Coldwater Lumber. He was a veteran of Vietnam and Desert Storm and graduated from Coldwater High School.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Brian Neal Vannett of Rockford and Brad Alan Vannett of Van Wert; two sisters, Sharon Thomas of Coldwater and Jane (Ronnie) Norton of Celina, and two grandchildren, Hannah Vannett and Taylor Vannett.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Carla Depweg.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Jim Burns of Liberty Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, will military graveside services provided by the U.S. Navy.
Visitation will be from 1-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Vannett to the family.

McCLURE
Carl J. McClure, 75, of 9962 Bergner Road, died at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
He was born January 13, 1928, in Wren, the son of the late Lohnes C. and Alda G. (Bowen) McClure. On December 30, 1950, he married Rose Marie Voltz, who survives at home.
Mr. McClure retired from Continental Can Co. (Greif Bros) in 1990 after 43 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Harrison Township and was a U.S. Army veteran who served with the 7th Army in Germany during the Korean War. He also belonged to the Birdville Cooners.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, Bill McClure, Jay McClure and Jody (Suzi) McClure, all of Van Wert, Rick (Lisa) McClure of Ohio City and Mike (Karen) McClure of Wren, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Evangelical Protestant Cemetery in Harrison Township.
Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert.

LLOYD
M. Margaret Lloyd, 84, formerly of Rockford, died at 4 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, at The Sunrise of Englewood in Englewood.
She was born October 4, 1918, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Floyd and Blanche Leona (Kushmaul) Crone. On December 15, 1940, she married J. Richard Lloyd and he died on March 11, 1993.
Mrs. Lloyd had lived in the Rockford area most of her life before moving to Englewood in 1997. She was a member of Rockford Presbyterian Church and was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Jonelle (Phil) Roberts of Clayton; one son, Kevin (Leslie) Lloyd of Darien, Conn.; one sister, Marcelle Kenner of Hicksville; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with the Rev. Karen Long officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Lloyd to Rockford Presbyterian Church.

GRAY
Newell "Pappy" Gray, 80, of 306 Middle St., died unexpectedly at 3:50 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born August 7, 1922, in Akron, the son of the late Perry and Gertrude (White) Gray. On October 29, 1990, he married Colleen I. Youtsey Subler, who died October 5, 2000.
Mr. Gray retired from Sherburn Construction after many years of service. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps stationed in Alaska and was a life member of Robert G. Longwell Post 5803, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Van Wert and a member and past president of the Van Wert Coon Hunters Association. He received the Brooks McHill Sportsmanship Award from the American Coon Hunters Association.
Survivors include two stepsons, Robert Subler of California and Terry Subler of Lima; a stepdaughter, Pam Shaner of Ponte Gorda, Fla.; a niece, Linda Meckly of Jupiter, Fla.; three nephews, Terry Gray of Stow, Jerry Gray of Senoia, Ga. and Robert Gray of Akron, and two cousins, Jim Baldwin of Grand Blanc, Mich., and Tom White of Royal Oak, Mich.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Nile Gray.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Douglas Stockton of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, with graveside military services provided by members of VFW Post 5803 and American Legion Post 178.
Visitation will be from 4-6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Gray to Community Health Professionals-Hospice.
