PERRY
C. Douglas Perry, 42, of Van Wert, died at 10:04 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2005, at his residence after being sick with a brain tumor for 12 years.
He was born February 28, 1963, in Van Wert, the son of Richard and Diane (Roth) Perry, both of whom survive in Van Wert. On December 22, 1990, he married Myrna Flory, who also survives in Van Wert.
Mr. Perry had worked as a computer programmer at Essex Corporation in Fort Wayne, Ind., and, most recently, at Roundy’s in Van Wert. He faithfully attended First Baptist Church in Van Wert. He was a graduate of Wright State University with a degree in accounting. He also enjoyed boating.
In addition to his parents and his wife, survivors include two sons, Daniel Perry and Andrew Perry, both at home, and two brothers, Dr. Clark (Elouise) Perry of Muncie, Ind., and Nathan Perry of Huntington, Ind.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 27, at First Baptist Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. Steve Robinson officiating Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 1-8 p.m. Sunday, June 26, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to his children’s educational fund or Community Health Professionals-Hospice.
MYERS
Billy Myers, 77, of Delphos, died at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at SCCI in Lima.
He was born April 8, 1928, in Celina, the son of the late William H. and Lillie (Burke) Myers. On June 22, 1946, he married Patricia Garner, who survives in Delphos.
Mr. Myers worked part-time at Chief’s Supermarket in Delphos and at Eagle Print in Delphos. He retired as general manager of Fruehauf in 1990. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 471 in Delphos, Delphos Lions Club, the Bass Club of Delphos and the Liars Table at Jim’s Restaurant. He attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Delphos and graduated from Pleasant Mill High School. He loved to fish, snowmobile, play cards and watch his grandchildren’s sporting events.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Dan (Joyce) Myers of Delphos; one daughter, Debra Myers of Delphos; five grandchildren, Scott, Melissa, Craig, Meghann and Steven Myers, and cousins Don Burke of Decatur, Ind., and Sam (Frita) Yager and Bob (Chloe) Myers, both of Berne, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Daniel Burley.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Saturday, June 25, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 24, at the funeral home.

SCHWARTZ
Elmer Schwartz, 83, of Cloverdale, died at 10:37 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2005, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
He was born September 7, 1921, in Lawrence County, Ill., the son of the late Marce and Mae (Perrott) Schwartz. He married Priscilla Rhoad, who died April 28, 1995. He then married Judith Evans, who survives in Cloverdale.
Mr. Schwartz was a farmer ad attended the Christ and Christian Union Church in Mandale. He loved his tractors, enjoyed collecting toy tractors and large ones and also liked using his metal detector.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Vernon (Linda) Schwartz of Oakwood; one daughter, Shirley (John) Hammersmith of Cloverdale; a sister, Cora Case of Mt. Carmel, Ill.; one brother, Raymond Schwartz of Cadiz, Ky.; three grandchildren, Sheila Schwartz, Mike Schwartz and David Hammersmith; two stepchildren; Debra Corradini and Sandra Hinkle, and six stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with Rev. Don Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in Ridge Township, Van Wert County.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Monday, June 20, at from 9 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
BILIMEK
Joseph R. Bilimek, 93, of Lima and formerly of Delphos, died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at Lima Convalescent Home in Lima.
He was born August 3, 1911, in Delphos, the son of the late Carl and Vada (Carmen) Bilimek. He first married Opal Bilimek, who died in 1978. He then married Sophie Jerutis in 1979, and she survives in Lima.
Mr. Bilimek retired as a custodian for the Elida School District. He enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Grace E. Grant of Cridersville and his twin sister, Clara Mae Stemen of Elida.
He was preceded in death by three siblings at birth; three brothers, Charles, George and Walter Bilimek, and a sister, Agnes Unland.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with the Rev. Sharon Twining and Donny Garin Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Carmen Cemetery.
Viewing hours are 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at the funeral home.

JEROME
Kim Alan Jerome, 49, of 233 Thistlewood Court, Apt. 317, died at 1:32 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born July 13, 1955, in Van Wert, the son of Chalice and Jeanne A. (Parks) Jerome, who both survive in Van Wert.
Mr. Jerome was a 1974 graduate of Van Wert High School and had attended Wesley United Methodist Church in Van Wert.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his former wife, Brenda Jerome of Van Wert; two brothers, James (Hannah) Jerome of Phoenix, Ariz., and Terry L. Jerome of Houston, Texas, and a sister, Sandy (Chuck) Thatcher of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 11, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Viewing hours will be two hours prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
DANCER
Grace A. Dancer, 90, of Delphos, died at 8:30 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2005, at her residence in Defiance.
She was born November 9, 1914, in Rimer, the daughter of the late Everett and Anna (Derrickson) Pitsenbarger. On January 23, 1934, she married Andrew J. Dancer, who survives in Defiance.
Mrs. Dancer was a housewife and had worked part-time in The Sweet Shop in Delphos. She was a former member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, James (Joyce) Dancer of Indianapolis, Ind.; one daughter, Linda (Stephen) Imber of Defiance; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Lee, John and Floyd Pitsenbarger, and an infant sister, Maxine Pitsenbarger.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with Father Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
Viewing hours are 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, and from noon until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.

NIETO
Joe G. Nieto, 74, of Ohio City, died at 6 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2005, at his residence.
He was born April 13, 1931, in Austin, Texas, the son of the late Antonio and Elosia Nieto. He married Margaret A. Nieto, who also preceded him in death.
Mr. Nieto was a retired Van Wert County sheriff's deputy. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert and was a U.S. Army veteran. He belonged to American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both in Van Wert, as well as Eagles Aerie 886 in Van Wert and the local Fraternal Order of Police lodge.
Survivors include a son, Joseph A. Nieto of Lima; three daughters, Delores M. Myers of Elida and Angela M. Lewis and Juanita A. Joseph, both of Ohio City; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony B. Nieto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 30, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert.
Viewing hours are 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, where a parish vigil service will be held at 8 that evening.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich., or Community Health Professionals Hospice in Van Wert.
