HOEHN
Corey Jamison Hoehn, 15, of Marysville, died Monday, September 19, 2005, at Children's Hospital in Columbus following a 10-month battle with cancer.
He was born May 21, 1990, in Columbus, the son of Chris (Pam) Hoehn, who survives in Marysville, and Tammy (Jon) Cooper, who also survives in Marysville.
Corey was a sophomore at Marysville High School and was a member of the Marysville Mitts baseball team and Marysville Minors traveling baseball team. A young man with many loving friends, fond acquaintances and a sense of humor, he will be most remembered for making others a priority before caring for himself. A member of Marysville First United Methodist Church, he enjoyed fishing, "hanging" with friends and eating good food.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Amanda Hoehn, a sophomore at Ohio University; a stepbrother, Nicholas Cooper, also a sophomore at Marysville High School; two stepsisters, Courtney Cooper, a sophomore at Ohio University, and Rachel Clinger of Delaware; paternal grandparents, Norbert and Twylah Hoehn of Lima; maternal grandparents, Judy and Henry Snow of North Canton; stepgrandparents, Zuella and Jon Cooper of LaRue and Carrie McPeek of Mt. Gilead; aunts and uncles, Beth and John Davis of Massillon, Karen (John) Burleson of North Canton, Debbie and Ed Warniment of Dayton, Mike and Lisa Hoehn of Lima, MArk McGiffen of Canton, Rick and Dot McPeek of Alabama; many cousins and loving and special friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 22, at First United Methodist Church in Marysville, with Rev. Scot Ocke and Rev. Carrie Given officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
Viewing hours are 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, at Underwood Funeral Home in Marysville.

MARSHALL
Evelyn G. Marshall, 90, of 412 S. Market St., Van Wert, died at 1 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2005, at Lincolnway Home near Middle Point.
She was born March 3, 1915, in Scott, the daughter of the late Emery and Dora (Foulk) Froney. On June 19, 1938, she married John C. Marshall, who died October 3, 1995.
Mrs. Marshall was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Hoaglin-Jackson High School and belonged to the Van Wert County Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She was also a former auxiliary president.
Survivors include a son, John L. (Therese) Marshall of Van Wert; one daughter, Sharon R. (Claude) Hoover of Abbeville, La.; seven grandchildren, Kennneth (Karri) Marshall, Dawn Marshall, Lisa (Ron) Shoemaker, Jason (Niki) Krol, Andrea Hoover, Travis (Jade) Hoover and Stuart Hoover, and seven great-grandchildren, London Marshall, Kellen Shoemaker, Bailey Krol, Macee Krol, Trenton Hoover, Tyrin Hoover and Trey Hoover.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Rob Ratliff officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Viewing hours are 2-6 p.m. Monday, September 5, at the funeral home.

MILLER
Robert J. Miller, 86, of Van Wert, died at 3:55 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2005, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
He was born April 20, 1919, in Van Wert County, the son of the late Henry and Nellie (Weaver) Miller. On September 21, 1947, he married June Rhodus, who died December 8, 2004.
Mr. Miller had worked at the former Continental Can Company in Van Wert for 45 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Van Wert. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, seeing action with the 4th Marine Division in the South Pacific. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds suffered in action. He was also a member of American Legion Post 178 in Van Wert.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (David) Myers of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Barbara Miller of Douglas, Ga.; two sisters, Eloise Mullenix of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Dorothy (Cloyd) Miller of Grover Hill, and one grandchild, Sara Myers.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, and four sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 26, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Rick Adams and Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be in Blue Creek Cemetery in Paulding County, with military graveside services conducted by the combined honors units of Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both of Van Wert.
Viewing hours are 2-6 p.m. Sunday, September 25, at the funeral home.

FREIBURGER
Frances E. Freiburger, 73, of Delphos, died at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2005, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.
She was born March 3, 1932, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Edward Sr. and Martha (Carder) Wurst. On February 18, 1950, she married Raymond Freiburger, who survives in Delphos.
Mrs. Freiburger was a homemaker and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos. She loved to play Bingo and crochet.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Daniel Freiburger of Delphos; two daughters, Linda (Lee) Schulte of Toledo and Martha (David) Moffatt of Virginia Beach, Va.; one brother, Edward Wurst Jr. of Delphos; a sister, Rita Nesbitt of Delphos, and six grandchildren, Monica (Kai Loeffler) Schulte, Gregory and Joseph Schulte and Heather, Holly and Heidi Moffatt.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Willis, Thomas and Rudolph Wurst, and a sister, Edith Raymer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 24, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with Father Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.
Viewing hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 23, at the funeral home.

TALTON
Joyce Ann Pope Talton, 68, of Van Wert, died on Sunday, September 18, 2005, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
She was born January 28, 1937, in Wilson, N.C., the daughter of the late Edgar T. and Daphne (Jones) Pope. On March 21, 1955, she married Horace M. “Mac” Talton, who survives.
Mrs. Talton made friends easily because she was always giving care to whomever she met. She was quick to notice a need and then did her best to fill that need. She took great delight in her flower and vegetable gardens and was quick to share their beauty and bounty. Throughout her adult life, she demonstrated God’s love to her and hers to Him through her activities in the life of the church. She especially enjoyed teaching children, singing as soloist and choir member, directing Vacation Bible Schools, visiting those who were sick or shut in and creating floral arrangements for the altar.
In addition to her husband, survivors include one son, Phil M. Talton of Duluth, Ga.; three daughters, Pamela J. (Craig) Rethwilm of Kennesaw, Ga., Paula T. (Paul) Caldwell of Harrisonburg, Va., and Allison N. Talton, at home; two brothers, Jerry (Eunice) Pope of Thomasville, N.C., and Don (Georgia) Pope of Four Oaks, N.C.; a sister, Janice (Jesse) Williams of Wilson, N.C., and one grandson, Devin M. Talton of Duluth, Ga.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 22, at First Baptist Church in Van Wert, with Pastor Steve A. Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Viewing hours are 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the church.

HALE
Rick A. Hale, 19, of Delphos, died in the afternoon on Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at his residence.
He was born July 27, 1986, in Norwalk, the son of Dan Hale and Angie Cross, both of whom survive in Delphos.
Mr. Hale enjoyed riding his dirt bike, anything mechanical and welding. While attending Delphos Jefferson High School he was active on the wrestling team.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Mikel Hale of Delphos; a sister, Rebecca Hale of Delphos, and two brothers, Jerry Gibson of Delphos and James A. "AJ" Cross III of Delphos.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tyler Scott Cross, and paternal grandparents Clayton and Faye Hale.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 1, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home in Delphos. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
Viewing hours are 5-8 p.m. Thursday, September 29, and 2-8 p.m. Friday, September 30, at the funeral home.

McDOUGAL
Marcile Edna McDougal, 93, formerly of Ohio City, died at 3:57 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2005, at Colonial Nursing Home in Rockford.
She was born May 26, 1912, in Ohio City, the daughter of the late Peter W. and Loretta Louetta (Rayer) Wiseman. On December 24, 1936, she married Ralph H. McDougal, who died May 20, 1978.
Mrs. McDougal was a homemaker.
Survivors include a brother, Lloyd “Bud” (Frieda) Wiseman of Ohio City, and two sisters, Helen Shinabery of Rockford and Thelma (Morrell “MG”) Allen of Ohio City.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Wiseman, Waldo Wiseman and Robert Wiseman, and a sister, Emma Lou Myers
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
There will be no public viewing hours.
