LYBARGER
Martha J. Lybarger, 70, of Van Wert, died at 11:47 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born December 2, 1932, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Edwin and Margaret (Wallace) Zinn. On July 25, 1959, in Van Wert, she married Robert O. Lybarger, who survives in Van Wert.
Mrs. Lybarger worked as a bookkeeper for Alexander & Bebout Construction in Van Wert for 20 years and had previously worked for the old Balyeat Coal Yard in Van Wert. She was a member of Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church near Van Wert and its United Methodist Women. She was a former Camp Fire leader.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Tom (Wendy) Lybarger or Reynoldsburg and Larry Lybarger of Palm City, Fla.; two daughters, Suzanne (Joe) Wegmiller of Marysville and Nancy (Don) Fiegel of New Knoxville, and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Zinn, and a sister, Juanita Zinn, who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Richard Birk officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Lybarger to the American Diabetes Association or Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church trustees.
STETLER
Orville K. Stetler, 65, of Van Wert, died at 7:56 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born August 3, 1938, in Van Wert, the son of the late Lee Stetler and LuLu (Burk) Stetler Roberts. On November 10, 1959, he married Sherry Englehardt, who survives at home.
Mr. Stetler was a retired chef.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jonathon Stetler of Clinton Township, Mich.; one daughter, Debbieleigh Williams of El Mirage, Calif.; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Woodland Cemetery at a time to be announced.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements were made by Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert.
STEMEN
Joy B. Stemen, 89, of Convoy, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 29, 2003, after a period of declining health. For the past year, she had resided at Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek.
She was born April 30, 1914, in Grover Hill, the daughter of the late O.W. "Tim" and Agnes (Sutton) Wright. On September 18, 1934, she married H. Kenneth Stemen and they celebrated 50 years together before his death on March 7, 1985.
Mrs. Stemen loved her family, her church and music. She began playing piano for silent movies at the age of 13 and was a member of Convoy United Methodist Church, where she served as pipe organist for more than 50 years. She was also a member of the church's United Methodist Women and the Convoy American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, K. Rodney Stemen of Westlake and Gary L. (Sue) Stemen of West Bloomfield, Mich.; a daughter, Frances (Abe) Mast of Millersburg; one brother, Harold B. (Shirley) Wright of Colorado Springs, Colo.; nine grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, M. Athene Bracken, and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Stemen.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Convoy United Methodist Church, the Rev. Greg Leigh officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery in Grover Hill.
Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Gearhart, Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home in Convoy.

ADAMS
A. Rex Adams, 82, of Paulding, died Friday, August 29, 2003, at his son's residence following an extended illness.
He was born October 13, 1920, in Oakwood, the son of the late William and Minnie (Grimes) Adams. On August 25, 1951, he married Lavoon Naomi Klingler, who died March 29, 1991.
Mr. Adams was employed at Grizzly Manufacturing in Paulding from 1948 until his retirement in 1980. He was also a maintenance person for Paulding County Hospital and retired from there in 1985. Mr. Adams was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Paulding and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant.
Survivors include two sons, Robert R. (JoAnn) Perl of Paulding and Gail J. (Judy) Perl of Van Wert; a brother, Curtis Adams of Paulding; two sisters, Fanny May (Alvin) Long of Oakwood and Reva Hammon of Jewell; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Perl and Rose Ellen Ross, and a great-grandson, Josh Perl.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Paulding, with Pastor Kenneth Van Loon officiating.
Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. Monday at DenHerder Funeral Home in Paulding and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Adams to the church or Paulding County Area Visiting Nurses Association-Hospice.
CUNNINGHAM
Michael Jon Cunningham, 51, of Defiance, died at 1:12 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2003, shortly after admission at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind., from injuries resulting from an ATV accident in Paulding County Thursday evening.
He was born January 14, 1952, in Defiance, the son of Norma I. (Robnolte) Cunningham and the late Robert E. Cunningham. On February 3, 1973, at Rose Hill Church of God in Paulding, he married Jean Ann Wollum, who survives.
Mr. Cunningham was a 1970 graduate of Oakwood High School and a 1972 graduate of Northwestern Business College in Lima. Early in his career, he was a securities broker for the Ohio Company of Columbus and later was a representative for Palmer-Donavin Manufacturing Company of Delphos and Columbus, retiring in 2000 after 25 years of service. He was general manager for Cunningham FLP of Defiance at the time of his death. "He has found life's answers and is now at peace in the arms of God."
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kerianne Cunningham of Southworth, Wash., and one son, Ryan P. (Melissa) Cunningham of Defiance.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Church of God in Paulding, with Rev. Samuel D. Wollum officiating. Burial will follow in Sherman Cemetery in Brown Township, Paulding County.
Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at DenHerder Funeral Home in Paulding and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

SIEFKER
Francis J. Siefker, 46, of Lima, died early Sunday afternoon, August 3, 2003, at her residence.
She was born May 18, 1957, in Lima, the daughter of the late Carey and Evelyn (Burkholder) Hawk. On July 6, 1978, she married Steven L. Siefker, who survives in Lima.
Mrs. Siefker was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Delphos and Columbus Grove Eagle Aerie 2772 and helped with the Southern Just Us band. She enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting and chatting on the computer.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Margaret (Les) Wince of Lima and Ella "Deanie" Hawk of Kenton; three brothers, Carey (Marie) Hawk of Ada, Cleadous (Jeanella) Hawk of Lima and Greg (Teresa) Hawk of Waynesfield; several nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, the Rev. Harry Tolhurst officiating.
There will private visitation.

BELDON
Esther Margaret Beldon, 90, of 11072 Convoy Heller Road, Van Wert, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, August 3, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
She was born August 16, 1912, in Harrison Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late David and Emma (Feigert) Schaadt. On December 29, 1940, she married Milan Paul Beldon, who died April 17, 1983.
Mrs. Beldon was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the Women's Guild of the church.
Survivors include a son, James (Elizabeth) Beldon of Mishawaka, Ind.; one daughter, Beth Ann (Ron) Rase of rural Van Wert; five grandchildren, James (Egina) Beldon, Judy (Dave) Feldman, Jessica (Andrew) Hackett, Ryan (Jamie) Rase and Kyle Rase, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond David Schaadt, and a sister, Ida Emma Bowen.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Harrison Township, the Rev. Kenyon Kaehr officiating. Burial will be in Evangelical Protestant Cemetery in Harrison Township.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.
