BEVENS
Margaret C. Bevens, 67, of Delphos and formerly of Fremont, died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2003, at Roselawn Manor.
She was born December 16, 1935, in Kentucky, the daughter of the late Thomas and Myrtle Brown.
She had worked for Bellvue Manufacturing. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, loved her grandchildren and loved to fish.
Survivors include three daughters, Sheena (William) Smith of Theodore, Ala., Tammy Best of Delphos and Donna Bevens of Washington state; two stepsons, William (Shirley) Bevens of Tennessee and Fielden Bevens of Washington state; two sisters, Roberta (Donald) Fleming of Castalia and Kathy Brown of Ohio; nine grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Dayl Lawrence of Bellvue.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Trehan; one sister, Louise Armstrong, and a half-brother, Roger Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, the Rev. David Howell officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date in Kentucky.
Calling hours are from 2-5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

PRATT
Rolland I. Pratt, 81, of Van Wert, died at 5:49 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born November 15, 1921, in Maumee, the son of the late Leroy "Roy" and Elsie (Brown) Pratt. He first married Evelyn Runion, who died September 16, 1980. He then married Doris Carlisle, who survives in Van Wert.
Mr. Pratt retired from Martin Marietta as a heavy equipment operator. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was an avid race fan and supporter of the Cleveland Browns.
Survivors include two sons, Rolland (Joan) Pratt of Oregon (Ohio) and Ted (Diane) Pratt of Fremont; a daughter, Deanna (Abraham) Snyder of Maryland; four stepchildren, Harold Webster of Columbus and Charles Webster, Elizabeth (Bruce) Fleming and Jeffrey (Laura) Webster, all of Scott; three brothers, Joseph Pratt of Scott, Albert (Faith) Pratt of Oakwood and Paul Pratt of Florida; four sisters, Grace McCague of Oakwood, Eleanor Runion of Woodville, Alma (Roger) Rhoades of Grover Hill and Bonnie Gilford of Pioneer; seven grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Edith Corn; three brothers, Jason, David and Delmar Pratt; four sisters, Edna, Alice, Ida and Norma, and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Rob Ratliff officiating. Burial will be in Westwood Cemetery in Woodville.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

MYERS
Anita M. Myers, 87, of 674 Jennings Road, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born October 25, 1915, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Ernest and Bessie G. (Edwards) McPike. On October 13, 1940, she married Robert W. Myers, who died August 29, 1998.
Mrs. Myers worked at the former A&P Grocery in Van Wert for more than 23 years. She was a graduate of Hoaglin Jackson High School and a member of the former Hyler Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, which merged with the Van Wert Eastern Star chapter. She enjoyed making wedding cakes, gardening and raising sheep.
Survivors include a son, Keith Myers of Van Wert.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

MINYOUNG
Charles R. "Chuck" Minyoung, 71, of 1032 Elm St., died at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born September 16, 1931, in Marion, the son of the late Roger D. and Evelyn (Brannum) Minyoung. On September 12, 1967, in Van Wert, he married Romaine L. Maurer, who survives at home.
Mr. Minyoung was a retired truck driver with Schneider Transport of Green Bay, Wis., and was working at Westwood Behavioral Health Center in Van Wert at the time of his death. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had served in the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Kent (Arla) Brown of Hudson, Stephen M. (Paulette) Brown and Matthew L. Brown, both of Van Wert; two daughters, Jennifer A. (Dale) Trail of Hewitt, Texas, and Karen E. (Kelly) Sargent of Bradenton, Fla.; five grandsons, and a great-grandson.
There will be no public services and no calling hours.
Arrangements are by Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home.
GOOD
Earl E. Good, 75, of Pineville, La., and formerly of Elida, died at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born November 20, 1927, in Elida to the late Noah and Clara Good. He had been married to Elsie Focht, who survives in Bellefontaine. On July 21, 1970, he married Joanna Ackerman Contris, who survives at home.
Mr. Good owned Mid-City Service in Alexandria, La. He was a member of Pat Robinson's 700 Club and was a U.S. Army veteran who served two years during World War II.
Other survivors include four sons, Carl R. (Debra) Good of Bellefontaine, Edwin L. Good of Lima, William E. (Joella) Good of Galion and Earl Dean (Mary) Good of Spencerville; two daughters, Marcie A. Humphreys of Elida and Robin L. Klapp of Lima; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel of Delphos. Burial will be in Sharon Mennonite Cemetery.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

NIETO
Anthony Benjamin Nieto, 41, of Ohio City, died Wednesday, August 6, 2003, at his residence.
He was born May 10, 1962, in Van Wert, the son of Joe Nieto, who survives in Ohio City, and the late Margaret (Barrientos) Nieto.
Mr. Nieto has served in the U.S. Army from 1976-1982 and attended St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a son, Jonathan Nieto of Lima; one daughter, Jenna Nieto of Lima; three sisters, Delores Myers of Elida, Angela Lewis of Van Wert and Juanita Joseph of Ohio City; one brother, Joe Nieto of Lima; two nieces; two nephews; five great-nephews, and two great-nieces.
A Memorial Mass will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, where graveside military rites will be performed by the combined Honors Unit of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 and American Legion Post 178, both of Van Wert.
There will be no calling hours.

SCHNEIDER
Wanda Clapp Schneider, 74, of Delphos, died at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2003, at Lima Manor nursing home.
She was born November 29, 1928, in Versailles, the daughter of the late Forrest and Mary Alice (Biddle) Brown. She first married Marion "Bill" Clapp on May 22, 1946, and he preceded her in death. She married Larry Schneider on July 5, 1976, and he also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Schneider was a homemaker and owned and operated an antique store in Florida for many years. She also owned Cameo Dress Shop and worked at various retail stores. She was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Delphos and was active in the choir. She also belonged to OCCL and was voted OCCL "woman of the year" in 1970. She also worked for Right to Life, the Delphos Welcome Wagon, helped start Meals on Wheels in Delphos and was a member of the Delphos Eastern Star chapter. She was a 1946 graduate of Versailles High School and also attended North Park Community Church.
Survivors include a son, Stephan (Peggie) Clapp of Middleton, Tenn.; four daughters, Cathy (George) Abbott of Nevada (Ohio), Pamela Moore and Marsha (Rick) Newland, both of Lima, and Vickie (Jeff) Kleman of Fort Jennings; 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, the Rev. Jim Loughrin officiating. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
