MOODY
Loyd D. Moody, 66, of Ohio City, died at 9:15 a.m. Friday, December 26, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born April 6, 1937, in Leoma, Tenn., the son of the late Henry and Versie (Dailey) Moody. On April 10, 1956, he married Katherine L. Eastridge, who survives at home.
Mr. Moody retired from Chrysler Amplex in Van Wert after 30 years of service. He also owned and operated a used appliance business in Ohio City for 18 years. He attended Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Bill R. (Brenda) Moody, Larry D. Moody and Cliff C. Moody, all of Ohio City; two daughters, Debbie L. (Chuck) Bigham and Wilma D. Rowe, both of Ohio City; four brothers, Albert (Bertha) Moody of Indianapolis, Ind., Howard (Belle) Moody of Defiance and Red (Mary) Moody and Jimmy (Jeanne) Moody, both of Florida; one sister, Thelma (Fred) Hanks of Florida; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Renee Moody; one brother, J.W. Moody, and a sister, Faye Kuncke.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 29, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Neil Hammons of Trinity Friends Church officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Calling hours are from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

ASHBAUGH
David J. Ashbaugh, 66, of New Haven, Ind., died at 3 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2003, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born March 26, 1937, in Findlay, the son of the late John W. and Martha O. (Spridgeon) Ashbaugh. On January 23, 1960, he married Sharon Miller, who survives.
Mr. Ashbaugh had worked in management with General Telephone in Fort Wayne for 10 years. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Van Wert. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post 178 and a lifetime member of Elks Lodge 1197, both in Van Wert.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John (Julie) Ashbaugh of Fort Wayne and Alan Ashbaugh of Cincinnati, and a granddaughter, Hannah Ashbaugh.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Joe Wilck officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

GRIBLER
Gary L. Gribler, 58, of Van Wert, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2003, at Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born January 30, 1945, in Van Wert, the son of the late Arthur and Nellie (Fowler) Gribler.
Mr. Gribler was a 1963 graduate of Van Wert High School and a graduate of Purdue University. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. Following military service, he served on the staff of former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel of Alaska and for the past 10 years has been a drywall painting contractor in the Fort Wayne area. While in Van Wert, he attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a brother, Dan (Edie) Gribler of Douglasville, Ga.; one nephew, David Gribler of Atlanta, Ga., and a niece, Nannette (Brian) Zimmerman of Virginia Beach, Va.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Lance O'Donnell officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, with military graveside honors performed by the combined honor guard of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 and American Legion Post 178, both of Van Wert.

NEELY
Warren Leslie Neely, 55, of Rockford, died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2003, at Orient.
He was born February 17, 1948, in Akron, the son of the late Lloyd and Ruth (Medley) Neely. On June 9, 2002, he married Leola Bienz Reedy, and she survives in Rockford.
Mr. Neely was a nursing practitioner and minister and attended New Horizon Church in Rockford.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Chris Neely at home and Timothy Paterson Neely, address unknown, and four brothers, John Neely of Kentucky, Lyle Neely of Washington and Earl and Jeff Neely, both of Florida.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2004, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with the Rev. Robert Loar officiating.
Calling hours are 10 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
WINSTEL
Joseph Everett Winstel Sr., 77, of 526 N. Burt St., Van Wert, died at 10:39 a.m. Sunday, December 28, 2003, at Van Wert Manor Nursing Home.
He was born June 4, 1926, in Fort Wayne, Ind., the son of the late John and Beatrice (Earnst) Winstel. On May 25, 1968, he married Bonnie Thornburg, who survives in Van Wert.
Mr. Winstel was retired from Speuer & Son in LaGrange, Ind. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert; Isaac Van Wert Post 178, American Legion; Robert G. Longwell Post 5803, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Van Wert County Chapter of Disabled American Veterans. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Terry Winstel of Paris, Texas, John Winstel of Lake Placid, Florida, and Joe (Joyce) Winstel Jr. of Sebring, Fla.; a stepson, Steven E. (Sandra L.) Jenkins of Van Wert; one sister, Ruth Burnette of Pensacola, Fla., and a grandson, Walter Winstel of Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with military graveside rites conducted by the local American Legion, VFW and DAV units.
Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. Monday, December 29, at the funeral home, with Disabled American Veterans services to be held at 7:30 p.m. that day.

WEBSTER
Marilyn S. Webster, 62, of Blue Creek and formerly of Van Wert County, died at 10:10 a.m. Sunday, December 28, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born December 4, 1941, in Scott, the daughter of Helen P. (Routt) Taylor, who survives in Scott, and the late William F. Taylor. On June 14, 1958, in Scott, she married Clarence Webster Jr., who survives at home.
Mrs. Webster had attended Harvest Fields Pentecostal Church of God in Scott. She was a member of the Nile Township Fire Department Auxiliary and was also a member of the Women of the Moose.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by a son, Clarence (Lori) Webster III of Scott; one daughter, Rhonda (Clifford) Dasher of Grover Hill; a sister, Jane Dyson of Paulding, and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, at Harvest Field Pentecostal Church of God in Scott, with the Rev. Terry Martin officiating. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery in Cavett.
Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. Monday, December 29, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

ROBESON
Cheryl D. Robeson, 45, of Fort Wayne, Ind., and formerly of Van Wert, died at 10 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2003, at her residence.
She was born December 29, 1958, in Va Wert, the daughter of Donna (Morgan) Robeson, who survives in Van Wert, and the late Noah Junior Robeson.
Ms. Robeson was a homemaker and formerly attended Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Joseph Kennedy of Van Wert; one daughter, Camillia Kindell of Haviland; two brothers, Thomas (Esther) Robeson and Keith Robeson, both of Van Wert; a sister, Karen (Eric) Germann of Van Wert; three grandchildren, Alexa Rhodes, Dylan and Noah Kline, and one stepgrandson, Branden Kline.
She was preceded in death by a son, Karl Kennedy, who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2004, at the Fireside Room of Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert.
Calling hours are an hour prior to services Friday at the church.
